GOD Send!!!
This product is a God send. My tank had a horrible algae bloom to a point where you couldn’t even see the fish anymore. I would do a 50-75% water change and it would get cloudy within a day. Finally after doing my research I purchased this and I used about a teaspoon for my 75 gallon aquarium and it fixed the algae bloom within 2 hours. I was so amazed at the fact that my tank looked even better than before I had this algae breakout. Would highly recommend this product. 1 thing I would suggest about dosage, use the minimal dose required and mix it in a separate container with a gallon of aquarium water and then add the contents. I wouldn’t want to add directly to the tank since my fish jump up as if I’m giving them food or a treat.

Worked fast
I had been dealing with murky water in my aquarium for about 3 months; a persistent, slightly green-ish haze that wouldn't clear up. I was reluctant to put more chemicals in my tank, so I tried natural solutions: I slightly lowered the temperature, I decreased the lighting and feeding, and increased the frequency of partial water changes. All to no avail. Because of reviews saying Aleafix killed some users' fish, I used only a half dosage in my 20 gallon tank. Within two hours, the water was crystal clear; several days later, the water remains clear and my fish are all fine.

Read this review. Easy directions.
Use as directed. I've been dosing for almost 2 weeks now and I don't need to dose anymore. Dose every 3 days. So you dose on Sunday then again on Wednesday. I have a 36 gallon bow front. BUT I've also got 2.5-3 inches of substrate 60lbs in all plus plants , driftwood and slate. Because of this I don't have 36 gallons of water. I have about 28 if i did my math right. This stuff is powerful and will kill your fish IF you overdose. 1ml per 10 gallons so .1ml per gallon. Buy some syringes off Amazon to get the dose precise. I haven't lost any fish (all ember tetras, neons and a couple cobra-ender guppy). I removed all but 1 of my amanno shrimp cause I couldn't find him and as soon as the first dose hit the water he was dead within 2 hours. Can't hide when you're bright pink... If you want to do it right, take the time to do the math. Underdose if you're unsure. It works just fine if you use it right.

THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION
This is the best stuff ever. This is your solution. We were battling a several month long algae bloom in our approximately 75 gallon tank, and after one use of this, it already started to clear up. This tank has been functioning with two adult Oscar cichlids for many years and I had NEVER dealt with algae bloom like this before (too bad I don't have a 'before' pic). We had yellow algae, then a cloudy algae type phase, then bright lime green algae. We were miserable - water changes, tank cleans, filter change outs etc. This went on for MONTHS until we found this product. Look at the rocks in the pic and imagine that algae throughout the whole tank. ALGAEFIX brought everything back into balance and back to normal. Best Amazon purchase ever!!!

It works!
When seeing all the reviews I put this product as very last resort, after running of all the possible solutions. The negative reviews indicating death of fish in the tank right after the use scared me enough to try physical options (scrubbing algae and 2/3 water change) first. It did not work, I had had clean aquarium for 2 days, and it got even worse. I decided to try API ALGAEFIX and decided to risk of loss of fish. Small tank (20 gallons), just started, filling up with fish is not yet complete. 6 danios and 3 mollies, I accepted the risk of loss. I am quite experienced, I have had fish tank for approx 6 years, but in Europe, and I had different agents/tools there for preparing, cleaning, even for filtering the tank. Those algae fix products in Europe are quite complicated to use. I have never used them directly in the tank, rather removed algae physically. And I have never experienced such extensive algae development ever. I observed the potential exposure to sunlight: no correspondence. The LED light that came with the tank: no correspondence. Here I ran out of all options, so bought ALGAEFIX. In approx. 15 minutes after the use mollies seemed to be agitated, danios did not care. The first signs of cleaning up were obvious in 30 minutes, and in 3 hours the tank was cleaner than when I started it. I have not lost any of those fish. The mollies calmed down, and by the next morning they were just healthy hungry (I applied the product late afternoon).

Used a microdose of the recommendation. Still got great results and everybody lived
For people who have 10 gallon tanks: use 6 drops. 1 ml=20 drops. I also keep ghost shrimp in my tank, they are all still alive. The 6 drops did the trick without hurting anyone. I wouldn't use the recommended dose. I had a horrible free floating algae problem. Whole tank was green, could barely see the fish. I did a water change and then added 6 drops of this. 1.5 days later I have pristine water again. To prevent the dying algae from releasing their waste, do a 50% water change again after 2 days, add another 6 drops. Hope this helps another 10 galloner.

It works!
After doing some research, I decided to get this for my 30gallon tank, which had and was in a full algae bloom GREEN! So this stuff works! But be sure to read carefully. It cleared my tank in one go. I doubt I will have to repeat. I took out about 25%water from tank. Then using a little medicine syringe, I put 2ml into a very large bowl and added at least a lot of water. Made sure to stir. Pour that back into tank. I waited a few minutes. Then added another 1ml to another bowl of water. Then of course refill with fresh water till tank was at right level. I turned of heater earlier also. Then replaced filter. I kept heater off. You could see it the water getting clearer. The next morning it was “crystal”. I turned heater back on and gave fishies a treat. Added note: I did not lose any fish, I have guppies, molly’s, dwarf garami, and albino catfish, and a dwarf sucker. All doing well and tank is pretty once more!

PLEASE BE AWARE OF A CONFLICT IN DOSING INSTRUCTIONS!
I wanted to post this quick comment before I post my review on this product because I think there's a critical error in the instructions on this pags vs the instructions on the actual bottle. This may explain why some people have lost their fish! The way I see it, this page and the bottle state 2 VERY DIFFERENT things as far as dosing! In the description on this page it states......"To treat algae, add 1 ml per 10 gallons of water and REPEAT FOR 3 DAYS until algae is controlled." On the actual bottle it states...."Repeat dose EVERY 3 DAYS until algae is controlled." So if you read this page only and not the actual bottle (or you read both but follow the instructions on this page) you would add AlgaeFix to your aquarium each day for 3 days straight when you are actually supposed to add it every 3rd day. Add it, wait 3 days, add it again! THIS IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE and may explain why some people have lost their fish! I will post my entire review of this product and photos of my aquarium shortly......

Like a Magical Algae Begone Solution
Went out of town and had a major algae infestation in my tank when I returned (literally to the point you couldn't even see into the tank at all). I have a 40gal tank, did as was instructed on the bottle and put 3ml of the algae fix into the water. I was highly skeptical with the little bit that went in, I mean how would 3ml help 40 GALLONS of water? But low & behold within hours I could already see into the tank again, hands down 100% better than before I had put it in the tank. By the following day it had nearly cleared out all of the algae in the tank which made cleaning everything else much easier as well. Definitely recommend the product!

Works so well!!
We have been having trouble with our turtle tank filled with green water that we can't even see anything. We dumped water out twice and refilled with clean water.. No luck. Water turned back to green. I was nervous ordering this ALGAFIX thinking it might kills our turtle. We just added a few drop every night and... Snapped, the green is all gone and water is nice and clear crystal!!! Great to have!!!
