First I'd like to start by saying that I really love the Coolaroo products. Their elevated pet bed has been one of the best purchases I have ever made for my pet. She really enjoys being outdoors and loves laying out in the sun during the highest heat of the day! I love the fact that she doesn't have to lay on the hot cement when she's outdoors. From day one, I've purchased the Orange or terra cotta color (if you will) and it will usually last her a little over a month before I start seeing holes in it from her either chewing a toy or chewing on her nails and footpads. Presently, this new green one has been outside for two months and she's used it daily. There has not been one hole in it yet! I'm not certain if this one is just more durable or if she has decided to no longer chew on her beds. It could also be that she's not attracted to the color which keeps her from paying too much attention to it. In any event, it is an extremely durable product and I will continue to buy these for as long as my dog lives!

Where have these beds been the past 10 years of my life??? Up until now, it had been impossible to make a bed last more then a month with my 2 Dachshunds (twins males). The torn and shredded bed had become a staple in my household (regardless of material, how it was made or who made it). I was actually considering letting them sleep on the bare floor, until someone mentioned this bed. Someone must be watching over us, because ever since we got one no more beds have been put to lay to rest. They've tried to no avail. The material of the bed is too strong for them, not to mention the metal legs. They gave up on their bed war and now they enjoy it Any mess on the bed is easily cleaned up so it's a win win for us. We recently got a replacement cover (took us 30 seconds to get the legs in the new cover) and voila, a brand new bed was born.

My 3 dogs are big chewers. Pillow/cushion beds barely last a week w/out major damage, while this Coolaroo bed lasted like 3 months before I decided to change the cover, thank God they cannot chew through the metal frame. :P For $15, the dog's bed looks like new again with its new cover.

I love the coolaroo beds - I have had my bed for 3 years and only replace the cover about once a year. Far more economical than a traditional pet bet and so easy to clean. My dog loves his bed. The material is similar to that of lawn chairs so it breaths nicely and is great on hot days! The only problem I have is now my dog thinks the outdoor lounge chair is his "outside" bed! =)

My chocolate lab loves her Coolaroo and covers! The material is just "scratchy" enough that she loves to rub her nose and face on the cover and eventually her whole body yet soft enough that she lounges on this in the sun. It's strong enough to hold a human. Yes, why does everyone want to sit on my dogs Coolaroo! And even under the weight of an occasional human plus 80 lbs of dog the cover has little sag. My current cover developed a small hole, which was my fault, but hasn't affected the integrity of the material. I change the cover every 3 years it seems. Not because it not usable but because of color fading and the material gets too smooth for my dog to scratch her nose. These have a 5 year warranty and I'm sure I could get 5 years easily out of one. Note: this is an outdoor lounger only. It is not used full-time and is kept under a covered patio. Also, I spray black rustproof paint over my Coolaroo frame when needed to ensure longevity from rust.

This replacement cover is wonderful. This was her outside bed for the last year or so (brought in for the winter - Michigan). It has held up beautifully. The only reason I had to purchase a replacement cover is that we were bringing it inside. Birds have no doubt caca'ed on it in the last year and who knows what creepy crawlies are tucked inside the folds. Just wanted to start fresh. The bed made the big move inside for 2 reasons: 1. Bought another similar bed that was a) not as good quality and b) to big for the space (that was my fault for ordering the wrong size) and 2. Wanted to move away from material type bed that needs washing all the time. This replacement cover took me all of 5 minutes which included: taking off old cover, 1/2 install and realized I missed putting a pole through, and final finished install. Would buy a million times.

Purchased a Terra Cotta medium Coolaroo bed last year for my roughly 25lb. Pit/Chihuahua mix (don't ask, I don't know how, she was over a year old when given to me) and this is a great replacement. She would tear up any bed, pillow type, old comforters, even bath towels within a month. The Terra Cotta cover was great and is kept indoors, but developed a hole, don't know if she was digging or if nails got it. I read a lot of comments that the material is thinner than it used to be, especially on the Terra Cotta items. The Brunswick Green seems to be heavier than the Terra Cotta was, possible that there are different thicknesses with the colors. I highly recommend the Brunswick Green.

I have 3 big dogs and live in Texas. We have 2 extra large hammock beds. Our 140 lb Anatolian Sheppard/Great Pyrenees male and our 75 lb German Sheppard/Rottweiler sleep on these every night without fail. The big boy refuses to sleep on the floor as he gets way too hot and this bed provides continuous air flow even from below keeping him cool even with all his hair. We bought them ~4 years ago. They sat outside for 6 months in part sun when the dogs spent a lot of time outside. Kept them cooler than the concrete due to increased airflow. And they are super durable... We had to replace one mat as we got a lab puppy with RAZOR sharp puppy teeth who chewed a hole in one of the mats. The other one is still in pristine condition even with being in the Texas summer sun and rain and used every day, it didn’t break it down or rust the metal... Other bonus in my mind is they are easy to clean. Dirt falls through and hair wipes off. So just move and vacuum underneath. I would highly recommend these to anyone with big dogs that get overheated easily or are outside and need a durable dog bed.

This is the third replacement cover I've purchased for the original frame, in the past 7 years. We currently have 3 Lab/Retriever mixes (the largest weighs 115 lbs) but at one time this bed was utilized by 3 adults and 9 puppies. They haven't exactly been gentle with the bed lol. Sometimes 2 of them will lie on it at once. This replacement cover fits the large frame perfectly, and is easily installed. We live in Las Vegas where the summer temps can reach 120 degrees. The bed is placed on the back patio, and has withstood the high direct sunlight and extreme heat without drying out. The price is right and the quality is great. It definitely beats having to purchase a whole new bed when our fur-kids have beaten it up by scratching a hole in the center lol-which takes a lot due to the wonderful quality of this product. We usually have to replace the cover roughly every 2+ years, depending on how rough the dogs are with it.

I used this as a replacement cover for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CLA0RVE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 K&H Pet Cot, Large. I had to keep replacing covers that ripped over time and wanted something cheaper. This is just slightly large but still holds my 78lb dog suspended a few inches off the ground. Dog uses it with no trouble. So far it's holding up well. Does not fade in the sunlight like other brands. Will try to remember to update my review as far as if it holds up better than the K&H replacement cots. Even if it doesn't, it's much cheaper!
