Great but read the directions!!!
This kit is just what i needed to fix an old school plug that started to leak. Ive plugged many tires myself, so i just took this thing out of the package and went to town. It was very hard to pull the gun trigger, and three plugs failed to go all the way into the tire even with the tool inserted all the way. THEN i read the directions..... the plug gets pushed inside the gun so the little mushroom is like an inside out umbrella, and when it gets hard to pull the trigger, you release the pressure on the gun, like a caulk gun, and then try again. I thought this part was silly, but it worked!! Plug is holding air 100% after a few days @ 55psi.

Easy as f###
Boiiii lemme tell you !!!!! I used this on my low profile tire. I didn't time myself to do the repair but I can say It didn't take more than 30 mins. Id say maybe 20. Not only that but once you cut the excess rubber looks like a clean repair. I've never been so hyped about a product before lol. Update 6/14/2020 Its still surprisingly holding up. The only thing thats changed is that it doesnt look like the 3rd picture anymore. I cant say exactly why but for sure its a number of factors. One of them is i have some wheel rub going on. Either way , it hasnt affected the plug YET. 10 would buy again.. but not for a while cause i still have a ton of plugs 😁😁.

Can make quick, reliable repairs near shoulder with the wheel on the vehicle!!! A+ innovation.
I got a puncture in an A/T truck tire in Indianapolis and the tire shop said it was too close to the shoulder to repair because the patch may lift. A buddy of mine told me to bring the tire in to his machine shop and he used this system on it. I was very impressed. That was 2 years ago and the tire hold air as good as new. Fast forward to this week: I just picked up a screw in my daily driver hatchback. I used prime, got the kit, and plugged the tire in less than 15 minutes without even removing the wheel! I expect the plug to last the life of the tire just as it has in my truck. Yes, it is possible the plug could come out, but from my experience and many others that's very unlikely because the design of the mushroom design of the plug is great and the silicone-like material expands around the puncture and stays flexible for life. It's a great system. Using the reaming tool in the steel braids of the belts in the tire is the only difficult part; this requires strong hands. Pays for itself just in time saved on a single flat not having to remove the wheel and put the spare on. BE SAFE! Use jack stands if you jack up the car. Could not be happier with this. Also, PACK PLIERS in the kit when you get it to help remove road hardware as others have noted. Fantastic product.

Ideal for motorcycle
Since the plug "gun" has a metalic tube that goes in the hole to plug and uses lever action to insert, little effort or technique is needed. Just follow instructions, which remain in the kit. Included bag has space for high pressure gas cylinders. Full kit very tidy and practical. Since in 30 years all punctures I've had were nails, screws or other point piercing things, all could have been fixed with this. Best system I've used or found.

Highly recommend for motorcyclists
This kit provides a solid, reliable tire repair...much better than the folded plugs. I keep it in my motorcycle along with a compressor and multi-tool. You will also need a pair of pliers to seat the plug per the instructions. I think this is also superior to the folded plugs because it relies on the mechanical shape of the plug (mushroom head on the inside of the tire) rather than friction alone to hold it in. For that reason, I believe this is also more compatible with flat prevention tire additives (like Ride-On) which act like a lubricant to the folding plugs and allow them to pop out (I had that happen on the road).

Excellent
I wasn't in a hurry to use this product so my review is late in coming. Finally used it and it worked great. It out did the old plugs that started to leak almost immediately after I put them in. I've used the old plugs for years and always held my breath. This one mushrooms out after it's in, pull it up tight with a pair of pliers and your set. I used vulcanizing glue which they don't recommend but it made me feel better to use it. As I stretched out the stem to pull up the mushroom I put a little glue on it. Worked like a charm. Follow the directions closely, don't push the plug too far into the mechanism and it works great. Not too hard to pump. Would definitely recommend over any other DIY plug I've tried.

But the second one went in just fine. So far everything looks great and it's holding ...
I bought this item back in July 2016 and hadn't had to use it until a few days ago. My wife had ran over a screw and the tire became flat the night before labor day. She is a nurse and visits patients at home. On labor day, most of the shops were closed and she was worried she may have to call off. I remembered I had this kit and I gave it a shot. The first mushroom plug broke inside the gun. But the second one went in just fine. So far everything looks great and it's holding air. Definitely a must have in each vehicle or before a very long trip.

Works well, and more reliable than the thread strips
It took me two tries when I first used it on a near-sidewall puncture. The trick is to pump the lever very slowly at first, so the mushroom head compresses and enters the nozzle completely. Lubricant is important here, as the instructions state in multiple places. The plugs are pre-lubricated, but I may buy a separate container of waxy tire plug lubricant just in case. One thing that is important to be aware of: air will shoot out and the tire will deflate once you have the nozzle inserted into the puncture and unscrew it from the insertion tool if you are fixing a slow leak puncture. Just let the tire deflate completely and continue with the repair process. I keep two portable tire inflators in the car anyway. I was hesitant to try this because it does not use vulcanizing cement, but the plug has held air for at 5 weeks and over 1000 miles. I expect it to last for the life of the tire. If you want an emergency tire plug kit that you can leave in the car without fear of the glue drying out, this (or the screw-in version) is the one you need.

Outstanding on Smaller Tires
Must have for smaller tires. Recently I had four flat tractor tires and pulled several inch long thorns out of them from wicked trees that leave these deadly branches as landlines in the grass... the old school Method of patching tires with would take an hour with the pre rubber cement patch sticks. These after getting used to the procedure you can patch a hole in two minutes tops. Thankfully it came with several plugs because I ended up patching about thirty five holes on four tires. BIG HELPFUL HINT... if you have an electric tire inflator, use it While you’re patching the hole... a couple times I failed to get the plug through or seated perfectly, it’s because the tire had too much flex in it from being flat... let the filled air pressure work in your favor. I recently used it on a flat pick up truck tire and it would still lose air in 24 hours, maybe it was the angle of the nail puncture, maybe not, but for full size vehicles I had to revert back to the old school rubber cement stick method to seal the puncture.

Great addition to the garage or car repair kit
Could I have taken my tire to a shop to get it fixed yes. Having this tool makes for not having to deal with the hassle of going to the shop and waiting for them to repair a puncture from a screw or nail. Very good product. Worth the extra cost over a the plug kits that have the tar covered strands. Most of the reviews said to read the instruction and I did just that and the plug went in with out any issues. So read the instructions. New plug sealed up the hole with out issues and was better then the tar strand style that kept leaking. Faster and easier than the old tar strand style kits. Worth the cost.
