These lead lines work great. They bend to any shape you want, cut easily, and stick well. With using leading from a bottle, it's very hard to control the flow so that your lines are consistently the same width. With these lead lines, all your lines are exactly the same width, and so your work looks more refined, more professional.

Good product for stained glass windows. It is easy to manipulate and easy to put where I want. Also, easy to separate where I need it cut with just a fingernail or dull knife.

I have been using Gallery Glass for over 20 years, since it first came out. This is my favorite product of the line, as it cuts down on the time and precision it takes to make the leading by hand. If you are making mostly straight or slightly bent lines, this Redi-lead is your best friend. Get a good razor knife to cut, apply to a clean window and be sure to get a bottle of the regular Liquid Leading to "solder" your joints - makes it look just like the real thing. Try them and you won't be sorry, plus you'll have the satisfaction of being able to finish your product in one day.

Used with gallery glass to make a gorgeous stained glass cathedral design on front door (couldn't find a curtain due to window design and didn't want to hide the shape). I wanted to prevent people from seeing in and with a few coats and adding texture this worked beautifully. Colors are intense. Check youtube for great ideas. Can be removed and replaced to straighten them out. Flexible.

I made stained glass windows for our living room. They look great! I created a pattern on brown craft paper, laid the plexiglass on top to create. I flipped the pattern over for a mirrored image for the other window. I used the liquid lead for all the joints which made it look even more authentic.

I absolutely love this product for faux leaded glass. They adhere very well. I like that you can peel off and reapply a few times for when you don’t get it right the first time. 72 ft really goes a long way. I’m on my 3rd window and I’m still working with the first pack. Of course this depends on the design layout that you choose. I do wish the strips were 12” though. They’re only 11 9/16”. That’s quite an odd length. They specifically state to not stretch the strips. This can really make for odd dimensions.

I'm so glad I found this product!!! I have a large window on my stair landing that when the blinds are open has a terrible view of my neighbors garbage cans/woodpile. As a result we would never open the blinds. It bugged me to have those blinds there collecting dust and blocking all that light. I was dreaming of a stained glass window but knew the price tag would be steep. I stumbled across the gallery glass products and decided to give it a try. Super easy to use, very forgiving (I had to restart a couple of times because my measurements were off and I was able to restick the strips just fine), and I LOVE the results!!!

I have just recently started using these lead lines so I don't have experience as some have had with the older version that is supposedly better. These work pretty well for my purposes. I use them as fake lead lines on my faux stained glass projects and they really look good. You do have to be careful not to stretch them (they will shrink back and be too small!) and don't over handle them or they won't stick well and the glass needs to be very clean. Occasionally, they don't seal real well and paint will leak under a little but I usually just let it dry then scrape it off. I have used them on curves but they don't work well on tight curves. Instead, I cut the strip into smaller bits to make the curve and then used the liquid lead to cover the joints. I do wish they stuck and sealed a little bit better but I'm managing with them as they are. Have bought twice so far.

Have used Gallery Glass leading in the bottle since Gallery Glass came on the market. I love the fact my not so steady hands won't need to squeeze straight lines from the bottle again. These will work just fine for my applications

Perfecting the Plaid Gallery Glass liquid leading technique is not impossible, but for anyone who doesn't have a surplus of free time, it's incredibly challenging. This is where their Redi-Lead comes in and saves the day. Especially the Value Pack, which answers the needs of those of us who are working on larger pieces. This is the most cost effective pack of Redi-Lead too, so I'm somewhat surprised that it's not always available in craft stores. If you're feeling unsure about trying this stuff, don't be. It's super easy to use and if you don't get it laid out exactly as you want it the first time, no problem. Just peel it up and replace it where you want it. Don't worry about it losing it's stick factor either if you have to reposition the line you're working on. On my current project, there was one piece I had to redo 4 times before getting it exactly how I wanted it, and that stuff was sticking securely each time. Another plus: it's flexible enough to form perfect circles, but dense enough to lay a straight line without any trouble. IMPORTANT: For a more authentic, more finished appearance to your faux stained glass project, I strongly suggest that you purchase their liquid lead product to dab the Redi-Lead seams with. it really does make a difference.
