Looooove this!!! I saw it on wayfair few weeks back. It's not solid real wood so when wayfair priced it at $173.00 I couldn't pay that much for something that is a step up from IKEA style furniture!!! But I saw it here around Black Friday for $89.00 and I jumped on it!! Took about a week for delivery by it free (Prime) .... took me all of 20 minutes to put together VERY simple to do! I was very impressed on the over look and thinking it was "IKEA" style when reading the discription online I have to say it's Way better then anything IKEA does. My 3 and 5 year have already sat and stood on it. Very heavy and very sturdy and I'm not worried the nuts/ bolts will come free from the abuse my kids will do lol. I did have my husband add a wood block under it towards the back for a brace since my kids sat on it. ((( there is a match bench /shoe cubby that comes with the block brace so I added based on that model and then being the same length)) The other thing I would do if this was on hard wood floors I would buy better pads to nail to be bottom to not scratch the floors. The ones that come with this are tiny hard black plastic which will protect the cubby from damage but might not be good on wood floors.

We purchased this unit as a bench and storage for a mud-room entry to our house. It's a great place to store stuff in the cubbies, but also a nice spot to place a backpack, purse or groceries as you enter the house and take off your coat and boots. It's affordable, so it's not built for heavy use. I don't think it would be great if you're looking for something to sit on. It seems to be for stuff instead of people. We paired it with the Espresso Entryway Shelf. They are a good match. I purchased a comparable unit from another online household furnishings company. The unit from the other company was of much poorer construction and it was much smaller in scale. I'd do this one again. I suggest before you buy from anyone, carefully check dimensions to be sure the reality of the unit is consistent with your wishes.

Great! Great! Great! It was very easy to assemble, directions were accurate and the end product fit perfectly in the mud area I built. I sit on it to put on and take off my shoes everyday. Very sturdy. I even put in separators during the assembly process so that I could use it to put shoes into. I highly recommend this item, you won't be disappointed!

Love this bench!! I wish it had a cushion and I am still trying to find one to fit—it’s more narrow than most bench cushions—most are 17 in depth and this one is 15in. Love the practicality and storage use of this bench! So far we love it and it completes our entryway. We got the matching cubbie shelf with hooks and more storage to go on top to help tie it all together. Could not love it more!

Great value and looks great in my newly created mudroom. Paired it with the Sonoma 3-Cubbie overhead cabinet. Bench seems very sturdy (my 280 lb son put it together and sat on it a few times for proof!). Added pictures so you can see the before and after.

This bench was easy enough to put together, even with two little kids trying to help. It looks great in the living room; we use it for extra seating or for our girls' "tea parties." For anyone looking for bins that fit, these are prefect! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G9F1VXA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02

I ordered a whole set for my daughters, so I had this product x 2 Here is a breakdown of the events putting this together, it was the last thing we did so by this time we were really good at it. 1) upon opening the box, make sure all products listed on the sheet/manual were there. They were go to step 2 2) My husband, daughter and I worked on getting all the screws, dowels, and various fastenings in their proper places. This took us about 15 min. 3) My husband attached each part to it's correct location, and tightened everything down. 4) This should go without saying...but follow the directions. (Per my husband: "they are just the 'manufactured suggested way to put it together'," but they really do help.) I will add at this point two words are vital to your success: POWER TOOLS. (My husband said if I added that to my review to add this warning: BE CAREFUL when using power tools not to strip the screws, or damage the materials. This was the easiest of all four items I purchased, and took us the least amount of time. All of the parts needed were included, and it came with a finishing pen to fix any damage we may have done...we didn't scratch or ding the materials as we handled them, so didn't need the pen. It is now in my daughters room in case she does need it later. As to the quality question...the old saying "You get what you pay for" comes to mind. It isn't the highest quality wood and materials...and it isn't the worst. With proper care I am hoping this will last for my daughter, maybe even for her to hand down to her children some day. The kicker to that statement is: WITH PROPER CARE. Read the instructions, take your time...make sure you handle the materials with care and you should be happy with the finished product. It is much larger than I had anticipated...so if you have a smaller space you were planning for this bench...double check the dimensions. Another tip is to read as many reviews as you can...and judge for yourself if this is something you want.

I was so focused on the cubby size, I didn't really pay attention to the overall size. This is a little bigger than I envisioned. But it is sturdy and will hold up for a long time. The build instructions are kind of weak. They could specify things a little clearer. Luckily you can pretty much figure it out just from the picture. Picture with fat cat for reference...

I am usually quite skeptical about buying furniture without being able to check out the build quality in real life, but my wife really wanted a bench for the entryway... and she wanted it NOW. So, we read the reviews and pulled the trigger on the Prepac bench. It arrived at the house while I was at work, and my wife had it assembled before I got home. Surprisingly, it has real, solid wood. I weigh 275 lb, and it doesn't even flinch. The color looks just as it does in the photos, and the cubbie holes are spacious (deep enough for a size 15 pair of shoes). It is the perfect height for sitting down and taking off your shoes. I'm not really sure what else you would use it for - maybe putting kids on a "time out?" We bought a cushion from a local retailer to put on top of the bench and it looks great. My only complaint is that the cardboard backing is flimsy and almost useless. It's pretty standard for pieces of furniture of this price, though, so consider yourself warned. When you push the bench up against a wall, you won't even know the difference. All in all, for $90, it's a good choice.

This product is a beautiful addition to a front entryway or even a family room. The bench is sturdy and the design is clean. As another reviewer suggested, I’d like to build an extra shelf in each cube to make room for more shoes. That will optimize the space for what I intended it for. While I am happy with the bench itself, I’m incredibly pleased with the customer service. While putting the bench together, I accidentally broke the bottom decorative piece. It was totally my fault. I called to pay for a replacement, but they sent it to me free of charge! It was completely unnecessary, but much appreciated! If you’re looking for a beautiful and functional bench that won’t break the bank, I would recommend this piece wholeheartedly.
