Clean power for pedals
I ordered this, because I need a power supply for an older zoom pedal. This thing works perfectly. The extra mA headroom, keeps the transformer cool. This is relatively clean, so the high frequency white noise, thats heard while using other power supplies, is non-existent. The pedal now functions a bit better too. I'm pretty happy I bought this, and may buy a couple more to replace some of my older power supplies.

500 mA Negative tip
I received a legit D’Addario power supply. It puts out 9V. It can handle a draw of 500 mA that means if your pedal is 200 mA you will be fine with this. The mA is what your pedal pulls. Not what this puts out. On the other hand if you put together 3 200 mA pedals that’s to much for this. You need a 600 mA. The cord is 6 feet. So you got to play close to an outlet or use an extension cord. The center is negative, the sleeve positive. I was wary ordering after the reviews of counterfeit ones being sold. Note the packaging in my photos. When I have received counterfeit products on Amazon in the past returns were easy. It is usually they didn’t know they listed the knock off stuff under a name brand. ;) With that said I’m very pleased with my purchase.

It Works!
Delivered quick, and it works. I'm using it to power DigiTech guitar effects pedal, and at times, a DanElectro Chorus effects unit. Works great for both. Note, that adapter has the + (positive) side on the outside, and the - (negative) on the inside. This is opposite of many standard adapters, but is what is needed for many effects pedals, etc. Check before you buy. Also, if you use it to power an effects pedal/unit, and you hear hiss or line noise, simply reverse the way you have the adapter plugged in. The polarity change will usually take care of the problem.

Much better than most others
Much better than average in every way. Compact size, sturdier than normal cable/plug, more current than most. I vastly prefer this type over switching style adapters. Both types look similar, but the switching types (which offer much more current) have lots of internal circuitry that adds noise. This type is more compact, but I find it is far quieter. I have a very small pedal board, so do not need lots of current to run it. I would caution to use separate adapters for dirt/overdrive/distortion/compressor/fuzz pedals vs. digital ones (delays, reverbs, etc.). I use two of these to power my board, one for digital pedals, and a separate one for everything else. Quiet, reliable and inexpensive.

Works for Brother label maker
If you're looking for this (relatively oddball) power adapter, it's likely for use with for a musical instrument/accessory or a Brother label maker. I can testify that it works great on the label maker. The one I received is 500mA @ 9 VDC with negative tip polarity. That's more than enough for even lengthy label printing sessions.

If you have a Zoom G1Xon pedal, then you need this.
You just created a killer guitar loop and you want to continue overnight. Oh no! you are only using batteries with your Zoom G1Xon. Well fear no more! Buy this D’Addario PW-CT-9V DC Power Adapter so that you can keep your loops and settings (make sure you disable auto power off). You can't use any 9V power adapter because the positive polarity is on the outside of the plug (which is dangerous typically). But I guess they are trying to make it compatible with most guitar pedal adapters. I digress...get it you wont regret it.

Reliable
Bought some generic 9v adapters on eBay only to find they don't quite power pedals the right way. IE, they always make the pedals hum. But these? Excellent. Heavy duty, sturdy, and work with basically all effects. Not much to go wrong with, and the brand is well known to be stellar. I recommend these if you don't want to pay the inordinate prices your pedal maker probably charges you (*cough cough* BOSS *cough*).

No more batteries for me
I acquired two used effects pedals and neither came with a 9V power source. So, I did what I usually do and checked with Amazon first. I found this one for a great price and, sure enough, my effect pedals now have a constant 9V source. That means, no batteries and that's always a good thing.

Works with TC Ditto Looper Pedal
I bought this because the Ditto guitar looper pedal doesn't come with a power adapter, and my existing universal adapter had the wrong polarity. I bought this one and it works great.
