Safe base and long cordless time. Highly recommend
This is one of the best glue guns I have ever used. I would highly recommend. I like the safe base, and how it stays hot about 5 mins when lifted from the base. So it is easy to use cordless.

New Favorite Crafting Tool!!!
For anyone hesitating to buy this- DON’T. It is 100% one of the best purchases I have made. I am not a hardcore crafter by any means but I do love my DIY projects and this glue gun has been a godsend.

Couldn't imagine life without!
Ok so my heading is dramatic, I'll admit. But wow- this hot glue gun is amazing. It is so hot and really convenient being that it's cordless. As a teacher, I hot glue about 80% of my decor to the walls (they're cinderblock) and I've always bought the cheap glue guns Fromm michaels. They worked, but my stuff would fall off the wall even though I was using four times the amount of glue I should've been. With this glue gun, I use an appropriate amount and my stuff stays. Seriously, if you've been considering one... do it!

All teachers with rock or stone walls should have one!
I use glue gun glue on top of painter's tape to hang up my resources. (Painter's tape protects them from damage.) I would plug into the nearest outlet, use the glue gun, and book it to wherever I was hanging things up. Now the glue gun goes with me! It heats up in a decent time, and stays hot for a lot longer than a regular glue gun. I bought this after using my teammate's and neither of ours has had issues with excess glue dripping. Make your classroom life easier and get one!

I am not using this for building a house...
Although, I do use this glue gun for some repairs as well as hobbies. Works very well as described. This is my second Surebonder cordless. The first one, it was my fault, didn’t have an on/off switch and I forgot to unplug it! One would think after 10+ years... This new one has bought an on/off switch and an indicator light, I should be OK.

Went through 2 others before finding this gem
EDIT: Months later and I'm still so stoked on this thing I had to come back and give an update. I 'm an idiot and I've left this thing turned ON for days at a time. Really unsafe, I know...and I've done this at least 5 times. This thing is a tank. I push out some burnt glue and I'm back in action. I wouldn't recommend leaving it on, I'm just surprised at how much this thing can take. As far as dripping issues others complain about, I haven't really seen that. This thing was an excellent buy. I got a glue gun at a rite aid, it just spilled glue out like crazy. Then I got one from Fry's that I still need to take back as I couldn't even get it to work. After using this, not only am I stoked on the product, not having a cord is a major bonus. Plus the stand on top of it?!?! Yes, this thing is AWESOME! Worth every penny.

Perfect, just know how to use it
My boyfriend used this glue gun for decorating his pumpkin this Halloween and hated it. He needed something constant though as he glued on (what felt like) a million candy corns. (He was making his pumpkin into a puffer fish) So, naturally, the glue gun kept needing to go back on the charger/warmer/stand. Well, I've used it for more practical projects and it's absolutely perfect. So, if you need something more constant, go for a plug in, but for most arts and crafts projects, this will probably be just fine. The instruction sheet says it's good for 2 minutes but I think we used it with success for much longer when doing the pumpkin - I'd guess closer to 5 minutes maybe. But that was also with giving it a fair amount of time to heat back up, too. Anyway - my point is that I love this glue gun!

Much better than a battery operated glue gun!
This is so handy to have for fixing everything around the house. I was using "super glue" and wood glue but each of those had their issues. Super glue got all over the place and the wood glue did not dry very fast. This stays hot enough to use for about 3-4 minutes. Then replace it in the holder and wait a couple minutes. Easy! I even take it outside to fix patio furniture. The glue sets up very quickly and is a very strong bond. The gun fits nicely in the holder and is a very good quality. I also like the long trigger. I am glad it is not battery operated. This heats up fast and it is much hotter and longer lasting than if it was powered by a battery.

Great, bought more.
As a teacher I need to hang things in some odd places, often far from an outlet. With my corded glue guns I always had to either glue the item near the outlet then run it to its appropriate location hoping the glue wouldn't dry before I got there or unplug my corded glue gun and run it to the spot hoping it didn't cool. I borrowed one of these from another teacher once and fell in love with how easy it was to use. So much less hassle so I ordered my own. Now here we are, a year later, and I bought 5 more to be used in class. I teach high school students in a project based learning environment. They know how to use power tools safely so if I can trust them with a power saw then I can trust them with high heat glue guns. In previous schools I may have been a little scared to do so. If you are looking to purchase them for your students to use just know that it gets very very hot. The glue stays hot for a while after coming out of the gun and mishaps can result in pretty bad burns if the students aren't careful.

Best glue gun for teachers!!
This is the best thing I have found for keeping posters and charts on painted brick walls in my classroom! I used Gorilla glue sticks with it and they peeled right off at the end of the year without taking the paint off with them. This glue gun is portable and makes it easy to use anywhere. I can hang things in the hallway without an extension cord, use it up on the ladder and not worry about tripping on a cord and take it to another room to help a fellow teacher without carrying a cord. The drip plate is AWESOME!! I accidentally left this on the whole weekend and when I got back to it, the plate had collected the glue that dripped out. I do not recommend leaving it plugged in for the whole weekend, but it didn't burn up or affect the usage of this gun. I do wish it had an auto shut off feature for absent-minded people like me, but I was happy to see that it caused to harm to any surrounding area or to the unit when it was left on.
