I have an antique, show quality, 1983 Cadillac Seville, so, naturually, it still has the original radio/stereo system. When I first got the car, I tried out an FM transmitter so that I could still listen to the music I like whenever I was driving the Seville. It did not work well AT ALL. It was annoying to set up, and the sound quality was really terrible. I returned it the same day I got it, and I ended up just using a cassette adapter. That being said, I was a bit skeptical of this product... but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, this FM transmitter comes in "Certified Frustration-Free Pacakaging," which made me laugh at first, but it's totally true. It comes in a small cardboard box that is enough to keep the item safe for shipping, but doesn't have all the crazy frill that electronics seem to come in these days (like those nearly impossible to open plastic packages that everyone loves so much). Not only is it easy to open, but it is certainly more environmentally friendly, and that is always a bonus. It takes literally under a minute to get into the packaging AND have this thing set up. All you have to do is turn on your car, plug the transmitter into the cigarette lighter, plug the other end into your smart phone or MP3 player, set your car radio to an FM station where you hear nothing but static, and then set the adapter to the same station. The sound comes through immediately, and surprisingly clear. I tried this out in my newer (2011 BMW) car, and the sound quality difference between the transmitter and the USB plug and/or bluetooth available in my car is almost unnoticeable. Aside from the product itself being great, the shipping was fast, and the price is affordable. I would certainly recommend this transmitter to anyone who is looking for the ability to play their music collection in their car, without having to make an expensive stereo upgrade. My experience with TeckNet thus far has been great (I bought a TeckNet web cam last year). They are a lesser known brand in the US, but they make great products at extremely affordable prices.

I like to rate products based on how well they do what they're supposed to do relative to the price of the item. I drive an 89 Chevy Caprice. It has a decent sound system but all OEM parts (no CD player). Our other car is an '06 grand caravan with CD but no auxiliary input (and there's been a cassette stuck in the cassette player for years). I've honestly wanted to get an FM transmitter for some time now but either the price has been too high or the reviews indicated the quality was poor. I was excited at the opportunity to try out this particular one. First thoughts: The transmitted itself seems very small, light in weight, and insubstantial but don't let that fool you. I does exactly what it should. It also lets you cycle though every frequency (by tenths) where other models only have several preset frequencies and you just have to hope that one will be available. The device connects solidly to my car's lighter and the cord length is perfect: long enough that you can handle and manipulate your device without restriction but not so long that it gets tangled up with other things. The audio comes through my system without static or other interruptions. The USB charging part is a nice touch too. I expect on road trips, that will come in quite handy. Honestly, for the price, I don't think you could do any better than the Tecknet. I've had really great experiences with all of their products so far and this one if par for the course in my experience. I received this item for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

I ordered this product a little over a week ago and I've now been using it in my Elantra both to and from work on my commute. The sound quality is clear (sometimes you just have to switch between transmission stations) and it is very simple to set up - much easier than hands-free bluetooth car systems. I did discover that it seems to work the best when I have the volume on my phone at about 80% volume and then use the car stereo volume to control full volume (usually around 50-60%). That combination usually gave me the best sound with the least distortion or noise. The only thing I'd like to see is for the cord to be a little longer so the phone/device can be passed around in the car and still be able to transmit to the radio. Not sure how the distance would affect the transmission signal though. Great budget buy and fix for cars with no bluetooth/tapedeck aux cord solutions!

I had an FM transmitter previously from a different manufacturer, which broke (literally fell apart) after about 6 months. I was getting tired of listening to music in my car over my iPhone's speaker so I bought this transmitter. It's surprisingly clear in its sound, it took me a minute to find a good static station to transmit through but that's not a problem related to this product itself. When I did find a good static station with static on each of the two surrounding stations, I got a very clear sound from this transmitter and I'm very happy with my purchase. Seems to be studdy and well-made.

First, super easy frustration-free packaging! Second, super easy to use and perfect for podcasts. There is essentially no set up -- just plug one end into your car's cigarette lighter and the other into your headphone jack and set the radio to the same station as the device (which has arrows that go both ways). It is very small, and I leave it plugged into my car jack. I haven't had any problems with it working right away, even though it is freezing outside right now. It also has a USB port for a charger. This essentially plays your phone's music over your car's speaker system. My car's phone interface is terrible, so I appreciate using the same controls I always do on my phone. Note: Playing does not stop if you change the station. Tips: Set a preset radio station to the device, then you don't have to fiddle around. When the device is set to a good station, you won't hear any static when it is plugged in. Your phone volume will affect the output volume, so if you can't hear anything, try turning up the volume on the phone.

I have a 2006 car and so it neither has a USB slot neither a AUX port. I had to use the 6 CD changer to listen to my favourite playlists which I had to burn in multiple CDs and my Car backseat was cluttered with CDs. I was looking a way to get rid of that problem and started looking for FM transmitters so that I can listen my favorite playlists from my phone. There are so many fm transmitters in the market, what caught my eye is this TeckNet F27 In Car Universal FM Transmitter. The very first quality of this transmitter which makes it unique than others is the simplicity and ease of use. You don't have to operate loads of buttons need not worry connecting to your phone because it connects through 3.5mm headphone jack. Tuning to a FM band is very very easy. You just have to press the left or right arrow keys on the display dial to select any range of signal from 87.7 to 107.7 . I have kept mine at 107.7. The quality of the transmitter is very good. The signal strength is strong and stable. I am writing this review after exhaustively using this FM transmitter for last 1 month. The first day I set the transmitter at 107.7 I never had to worry on adjusting the frequency, it didn't gave any sort of disturbance or cluttering noise. Once I went out of town on a 4 hrs drive and had to set the FM band to 88.1 because the local FM stations were transmitting near to 107 frequency resulting to noise at 107.7. But at 88.1 I was getting crisp clear music. I never found a difference in music quality transmitted through the FM transmitter in car stereo compared to the CD player. This demonstrates the quality of product. The TeckNet F27 In Car Universal FM Transmitter also has an extra USB port for charging your phone. You can connect a data-cable/USB cable to the port with your Phone/iPad and charge your device while listening to your favorite playlist. Last but not the least, another deal breaker is the price at which it is sold. You can be confident while buying that you are paying the lowest price for the highest quality FM transmitter of this type. I have seen there are several other transmitters in the market offering Bluetooth connectivity, extra USB port for connecting USB drive but the end result has to be superior sound quality while transmitting FM signal to the car FM system and this F27 TeckNet FM Transmitter beats everyone out there. I will strongly suggest to go for it. Few pictures are posted below.

This device works great. It has a strong signal for the radio and has convenient features that makes it an ideal solution for listening to tunes from your phone or other music/sound device. The feel of the device is pretty sturdy. The cord is long but is good because it allows you to put your phone or device that is plugged in almost anywhere in the front of your car. The cord is thin and is not braided but has held up so far. The Plug in is snug and also has a USB socket on it. This enables you to charge your phone or power another USB device while the FM Transmitter is working. The Radio transmitter signal seems strong and it is easy to find a channel to transmit on. Even channels with a mild strength other than static can be used with this FM Transmitter. There is no guessing on how to use the frequency selection. The buttons are intuitive; just press the right button to go up or the left button to go down in frequency. If you want an inexpensive FM Transmitter, I would recommend this. It has moderate build quality but works very well for the price. Also, there is no battery to replace. Give it a shot.

This is an excellent product at this price point. Product arrived on time and in perfect condition. I especially appreciate the easy access packaging. This is a very simple product and works exactly as advertised. On a recent road trip I used this to connect my Ipod to an older FM receiver in my car. Again, the design is simple. I plugged it in to the power port in the car and then into the headphone jack on the Ipod. I tuned the FM receiver to an unused channel on the receiver, matched that frequency on the digital display on the device and had perfectly clear music on a long drive through the mountains, where radio is an issue. I also appreciate that this device also has a pass through port for the USB. This means that while the power port is occupied by the transmitter, I still have a USB port available for charging my mobile devices.

When a rebellious adapter melted its label, breaking my beloved car cassette player, I listened to the radio for all of 30 seconds before knowing I needed an alternative immediately. Several years ago, I'd used a clunky, shoddy iPod FM transmitter that only sometimes did the job. It didn't take long before the thing had to sit at an increasingly specific angle in order to work before giving up the ghost altogether. Needless to say, I could only hope the technology had improved despite an ever-shrinking need for such a device. I was pleased to find this product. It's the right price, very lightweight, straightforward, and the USB port allowing for charging is great. Before buying this or any other radio-based apparatus, do know that you are likely, if not guaranteed, to deal with occasional static from competing FM sources. This is not a fault of this particular product; it is part of the nature of these transmitters. The product arrived safely and quickly packed well in a little box. It needs no setup other than picking out and matching an available radio station, but I believe it came with an instructions/troubleshooting leaflet just in case one needs help. The company seems to genuinely care about its merchandise and customers, which is always nice to see. What else can I say? I preferred my cassette adapter but this lil' beaut saved me from the dregs of today's radio. I'm happy with my purchase.
