This grill is so good. I've had George Foreman grills before
This grill is so good. I've had George Foreman grills before, but I like this one better. I love that you can control the temperature. Also, since there are plates on the top and bottom, it makes for faster and even cooking. It's not that hard to clean - I use a grill brush when the plates are still hot and then I'll wipe down with a damp paper towel before I put the grill away. Definitely a great purchase!

Hamilton Beach 25331 Super Sear Grill
After using a Rocket Grill with parchment paper envelopes for years decided to purchase Hamilton Beach Super Sear Grill. Very glad I did because it grills hamburgers, chicken and steaks and is much better at sealing in the juices. It is also very easy to clean and you do not need a brush. Wet paper towel and tongs is all you need. Great grill for two people and excellent for apartment size counters. Have grilled daily since March 31st delivery and it has been a great experience. A wonderful buy at $38.69 and worth every penny even at regular price.

This is a very good (excellent) grill - it produces a well cooked-seared steak or hamburger with minimum fuss. I also have a GF grill but it does not have any temp or time display but performs as well as it can with watching. I also own a Tfal-Optigrill this is the Cadillac (and most expensive) of grills. However I found it was overkill for me (Hamburgers and Steak man). The HB steak lovers grill is the ideal machine for me and does an excellent job of searing and cooking a steak or hamburger. Its drawbacks are it doesn't have removable plates for cleaning but it is relatively easy to clean. It also has the grease catcher in a strange position. It would have been improved with a timer that started after the sear. Stan Graham Hamilton Beach Hb Steak Lover's Grill (25331) -.

Quality - Great Price and Grills Perfectly
After spending a loooong time reviewing these indoor grills, I must say I’m very happy with my purchase. First time using it today I grilled a tri tip steak. It was done in about 10 minutes to perfection. I can’t comment about any smoke because the steak grilled was very lean. I suppose a meat with a higher fat content would obviously lend itself to smoke issues. Clean up was super easy. Turn it off, lay a damp paper towel on it and close the lid for approximately 30 seconds. Use your tongs on the paper towel to easily remove any residue. Cleaned up absolutely spotless. I mean seriously, you can’t beat the quality for under 50.00.

Great for quick daily grilling - use parchment paper for easy clean-up!
I am avid fan of charcoal grilling, so when I moved into a condo where any sort of real grill is against regulations, I did a ton of research trying to find an indoor appliance that would give me a convenient way to get a good sear on meat without setting off the smoke alarm. Happy to report after a few months living with it, that this little grill is awesome - whether you're in a place where a real grill is prohibited or just want a quick way to cook during the week without all the fuss and hassle of outdoor grilling. I've cooked steak, shrimp, salmon, and even paninis on my Super Sear - everything turns out great. Pro tips: Use parchment paper on the grill to minimize clean-up and know that you'll have to get dialed-in on how long to cook your favorite meats to keep from over-cooking to your liking. All in all, very happy with this grill!

This Grill is Amazing
I don't normally write reviews for any product however I needed to for this grill. We literally use this EVERYDAY!! It staying on our counter in the kitchen and never gets put anyway. You can just about cook anything on it, we have done quesadilla, sandwiches, heated up soft tacos. What I love best on this grill is the Sear Function it really does seal in all of the juices. Of course with anything new you do need to figure out what temperature works best for all meats, as everyone is different. We basically keep everything between 375 and 425 and I just started with the chart that came in the book. Clean is really easy, the trick is to read the instructions. As soon as you are done take two paper towels fold at the dotted line and bet the entire double sheet. Place the wet sheet on the grill and close the top. Let it sit that way until it cools down and most of the time I can almost wipe away the rest. This is the best kitchen appliance that we have every bought. My husband was completely against the purchase but now raves about this grill all the time and uses it everyday as well.

Super easy and consistent
I love to grill, but live in a condo so I had to come up with another option. This is by far the best indoor electric grill I've ever used. The searing capability and ease of setting temperature far exceeds the low price point for this grill. TBH I was a little apprehensive at first because the plates didn't come off, but now that I have mastered cleaning it I actually like it more because there are less creases to clean. I throw a wet dish town on it for about 30 seconds when I turn the grill off. This steams the food right off and you can just rinse the towel before throwing it in the washing machine. I use this grill about twice a week to meal prep.

I don't cook meat without this anymore!
I should just throw out my frying pan!! I am absolutely delighted with this product. I've made salmon, chicken, turkey burgers. asparagus, peppers & fajitas with this grill. Food comes out deliciously and extremely fast! Plus it's healthy! I would definitely recommend this product. It's well worth the price.

Best indoor grill.
I am writing this review specifically because it was due to an Amazon review on a George Foreman grill that I was looking for that I bought this grill instead. After having for it 2 months, all I can say is that it is a WAY BETTER grill than any GF I have owned on used. Major Pros: Sear button - the food (burgers, chicken cutlets, steaks) gets excellent uniform char marks on all areas of the cooking surface as opposed to just in certain places on a GF grill. This is definitely due to the design not being a "clam shell", but more of a panini press in a tilted configuration. Temperature control is excellent, even if it doesn't go over 425 except to sear. You should follow the instruction guide for cooking and make notes on what you cook and the times involved to help you master cooking with it. Major Con: No timer. This is is probably the only thing I would add to this appliance. It would be a nice feature not to have to watch it so closely. The temperature alarm signal is plenty loud and would work well as a timer alarm if it was an installed feature. Non-issue: Cleaning. The only thing that made me hesitant to purchase this grill at first was that some reviews said it was hard to clean compared to a GF grill that had removable plates (my last GF grill that this one replaced had that feature). If you follow the instructions correctly on how to clean this grill, it is no problem. While it would be easier with removable plates, in my opinion, that should not discourage you from purchasing this grill which I have found to be far superior in cooking performance to the GF grill.

Great quality, great price, does what it promises.
This grill is LEGIT. It does what it says, and it gets WAY hotter than most of the others in this price range. It sears at 500 degrees, and cooks at up to 425. Takes a few minutes to preheat, but then a yummy crispy quesadilla is 5-7 minutes in your future! I was looking for a grill with flat plates to make quesadillas, the Foreman grills I have had just didn’t do well for this. They left too much space between top and bottom plates when closed. But this grill, even with the raised lines, closes almost flat. So you get a good even toasty cook all the way across. It is a bit of a hassle to clean. This is all one piece like my basic Foreman, I am used to the awkward cleaning routine. It doesn’t bother me at all. This grill also does NOT open flat to use like a griddle. If you need that feature, choose something else. I bought this mainly for the higher heat, and the fact that it closes flat. I made steak fajitas from marinated sirloin, they turned out very good. Cooked the steak on SEAR for 90 seconds then at 425 til it reached 150 on a meat thermometer. Then grilled some sliced onions and peppers while the steak rested. Even my charcoal loving husband was impressed. That being said, it’s an indoor grill. It’s NEVER going to give you the taste of fire no matter how hot it gets. But for hassle free weekday dinners, I can see using this thing ALOT.
