Broke two toilet seats on the boat so far- this one seems to stand up to a beating so far (when you're pounding thru 10-15 foot waves maybe a seatbelt would be a good idea?!!)

We have been looking for nearly two decades for the correct replacement for our tiny tiny extra powder room toilet. The first time we needed to replace the seat we realized that the toilet must have originally been for a trailer or mobile home because the average replacement was always too big. We just made due because the powder room is too small to fit a regular toilet. Anyway, this fits PERFECT and it is really well made and sturdy too! Persistence and patience and we finally have the perfect fit! :)

Size matters.

Good product. I would have kept it. BUT.... it was too small for our marine toilet / 459 Meridian. Check your toilet size. Apparently, there are a few sized for a marine toilet seat. We needed 14" x 14".

Bought this for less than a third the cost of marine store brands and its a lot more robust than the cheaply built plastic seats they sell. I'm a big guy and feel a lot more secure on this solid seat. I do plan to add side blocks to make sure it doesn't slide around in heavy seas (a good idea for home seats as well). I expect it to last a long time.

WOW!

How lucky can a Skipper get? I've owned 10 boats along my way both power and sail. My current boat is a 42' Marine Trader with twin cabins and adjoining heads. You'd think that I'd just pluck down the big bucks for a couple of new toilet seats at my local West Marine but nope; I took a chance and saved about 60% off retail. The seats are identical to those that they replaced. Same craftsmanship, same size. Same, same all but the price. 5 stars.

Exact replacement. Perfect.

This was the exact same seat as was in my 1985 Boston Whaler full Cabin. Fit perfectly. The photo in the ad makes this look more oval...it's not and is more round, like the original toilet seat. Also, it looks beige in the photo, however is delivered in white. Perfect!

Perfect replacement for the boat's forward head...

A passage from Honolulu to San Francisco took its toll on the boat, including the toilet seat in the forward head (Raritan PHE--ii). I called Bemis and asked whether they provided replacement hinges (they don't) but the customer service person told me that Amazon sells the entire seat for around $13. With Prime, no shipping charges!! So how does one rate a toilet seat anyway? It opens, closes, and fits, and that's all I want.

It is a toilet seat. It fits my old Groco HF manual head just like the old, broken seat did. It arrived several days sooner than predicted. It was the same quality as the seat for sale at West Marine for $62.99, but it only cost $12.70 and shipping was free (with the standard Amazon $35.00 minimum purchase). There was nothing not to like about this deal.
