Bought a fire pit and needed the extended version of a poker. Works very well.

Just right for my fireplace insert. Not too big or small. Now my go to tool for general fire maintenance. With the square end you can push, pull, or move logs sideways. More versatile than a poker. Well made. Heavy duty. Nice loop at the end for hanging and grabbing onto.

This tool is well made made and looks and works just like the description. I have a Regency insert and the only size available when I purchases was the 28 inch model. That length seems to be just fine. Not too short to reach the back of the fire box, but easier to store than a longer one.

Needed new fireplace brush & didn't want the normal black broom. This looks much nicer & it works.

We bought 2... one for camping and one for the home fire pit and my husband loves them! They're very sturdy and the handle doesn't get too hot to handle. I love that this is all one piece of metal so no loose handles or broken/worn pieces. We ordered long length and it's perfect for our large fire pit and for the camping site fire pits we're familiar with. We would definitely buy this again but I don't think we'll need to :) Excellent product and well-worth the money!

While a poker is not much to get excited about, this one still exceeded my expectations on quality for the price. While the item's titled describes it as "extra long", I can't imagine working with anything shorter. This length of 3-feet is a minimum requirement in my opinion, not an extra. With anything shorter, it would get very uncomfortable very quickly working with a hot fire. It is also very solidly constructed. If were shopping again, I would buy this same item without hesitation.

I bought this because we replaced our biomass (wood burning) stove. The new one has a much bigger firebox and burns at a much higher temp because it is a soapstone stove. These two qualities mean that after an over-night burn of a full firebox of wood there is a large amount of red-hot coals with some ash. Before you can kindle another fire you need to rake those coals to get rid of most of the ash. In my old stove we just used an old BBQ spatula but it was too weak and wasn't up to the higher temps of the new stove. Luckily I came across Minuteman International. This tool is quality - the handle is smooth with no rough spots or burns. It is a beautiful work of art if you take a moment to appreciate it. The blade is set at a 90 degree angle to the handle which gives maximum leverage in use. The weld where the blade and handle come together is impressively done - I don't see that failing anytime soon. With this tool I can rake down a firebox half full of coals in no time and neither the tool nor me are any the worse off by it! ;) I truly recommend not only this product but it's makers - I'm very impressed.

I have been using this for more than a year in our Regency fireplace insert. In Wisconsin. In the winter. The insert has a depth of 13", which makes the hoe just the right size (plus room to spare) to rake embers and moving logs safely. Although I was initially concerned that the metal of the front part was too thin, it is still holding up well without chips or bends. It is a heavy piece of metal which handles well and has replaced all of the fireplace tools I used before.

This is really the only fire tool I need to take with me when I go camping. So I'm glad they sell them like this and not as a set with a bunch of other stuff that I don't really need. It's very heavyweight and I think I'll have it for a very long time

Perfect length and weight. It was a birthday gift for my husband and he was thrilled with it.
