This fit perfectly on my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins Diesel. The construction of the water pump is very solid. The fins are made of metal (the stock pump I took off had plastic fins). There was no wobble or play in the bearing. It was definitely heavier and better built than the original. A few tips if you plan to replace yourself: 1. Have a friend help with the belt tensioner while you take off the serpentine belt. 2. Don’t forget to drain your engine coolant before removing the water pump. You will fill a 5 gallon bucket. 3. Be sure to clean around the edge of where you remove the old water pump before installing the new one. I used a light grit sand paper and some break cleaner to help clean the dirt off. 4. Don’t forget to put the new gasket in place and apply a light bit of oil on the gasket before putting the new water pump in place. 5. Check the other pulleys for wobble. I ended up replacing my belt tensioner as well (also Gates).

I'm supprised you can buy this for what it costs! This part seems very heavy duty. I don't know if it will last 100k or not, but so far it is performing like it should. It's the belt that you have to replace that is a bugger!. BTW, when i checked to have this replaced by a repair shop it was over $500.00 for the punp, belt and labor. I think I have less that $90.00 for this part and a new belt.

I have a 2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 5.9 and the first time I had a leak from the water pump I brought it to a dealer and walked out with an $800 repair bill. But this is a relatively easy repair. Just pull the air filter box (very easy) and you'll see you have plenty of room to work. At the same time, change the lower hose, the thermostat and the serpentine belt. The hardest part is the serpentine belt, just because it's confusing to my old brain how it works (watch a couple YouTube videos) and it took me many minutes to get it done. Or skip installing the belt, just put the new one under the front driver's seat for when it breaks. That way you do just the water pump. The Mopar one is crazy expensive, just buy the Gates, but don't skimp on not also doing the thermostat (my original one wasn't opening all the way and only by putting the new one on the stove with the old one did I determine this). Same with the lower hose, you have the coolant out, so just do it.

Nice looking pump, smooth bearings, the unit feels tight. Been through two Cummins OEM water pumps in 100K, I bet this Gates pump is a better use of money given the price difference. Pump has a good finish on it, bolted right up with zero issues. Can't beat the price.

Worked great in my 2003 3500. Really easy to swap out. Took about 15 minutes and there are you tube videos on how to replace but it is as easy as draining coolant, loosen serpentine belt, remove two bolts, remove old pump, and put this one in. saved a little over 250 doing this myself

the 5.9 Cummins engine is awesome. Installing this water pump was a breeze. After I drained my antifreeze, and removed the tension on the belt, and slid it to the side, I had the old water pump off and the new one installed in 18 minutes. NOTE, if you're replacing your serpentine belt at the same time, (and I recommend you do), I found it much easier to install the belt while the water pump was not installed. Remove the two 10mm bolts, tap the pump with an 18" wood 2x4, clean the mating surface of grease and dirt, then install the new pump.

Perfect replacement for my Cummin's 5.9 engine. Good finish. Fit perfectly and actually appeared more heavily built than the factory pump I was replacing. Shipped quickly. I can see why the Geno's Garage site recommends this pump.

The water pump on my 04 Dodge Ram 2500 kept going. I was forced to buy one at auto zone because the pump went out while I was driving. fast forward 2 years the coolant started leaking really bad again so when I figured it was the water pump I bought this one on amazon. When I put the two side by side there was a large difference between the pumps internal fins. I would suggest buying this one vs the store one. The price is about half and the fit is much better. The old pump had large temperature fluctuations when driving and no fluctuation in temp with this new one.

The O.E.M. water pump that this replaces (24 valve Cummins 5.9 Diesel / Dodge RAM 2500) is somewhat notorious for being short lived. This pump looks good, fits perfectly, and is priced right, so I went with it. I was surprised to see that it had a high quality graphite /ceramic shaft seal. Works fine so far.

Fit and finish was great. Fit on my 2007 5.9 Cummins perfectly. Have put 10,000 miles on the water pump and no problems yet! Everything appears to be working as it should - no leaks, weeps, or other bad things happening.
