I’m a nursing student and I needed a stethoscope for my clinicals. I was unsure of which stethoscope to purchase, but I’m glad I got this one. I purchased it in a lilac color. It is really lightweight and easy to use. It fits perfectly in my ears without any irritation from the earpiece, which I worried about. It sounds clear and I like how you’re able to adjust the setting. It really worked well during clinicals, glad I purchased it.

I bought these for my vet techs in my veterinary clinic for getting heart rates on patients. They're super lightweight, easy to learn on, and provide good clarity with auscultation. They're not as good as the Littmann Cardio III or Master Cardiology, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend these for doctors that depend on auscultation. For support staff that are running around like crazy and just need to get vitals, these are perfect.

My ears aren't great and that's the main reason I bought these. You really can hear so much better. If you go from these to the standard cheapo version it's like night and day. I can have these in and the patient will be talking to me and I can't hear what the patient is saying- just what's coming from the stethoscope. They are designed well and easy to clean. They are light and not bulky, which you will appreciate towards the end of a 12-hour day. Don't be cheap. Get these. You will thank yourself later.

Great bang for the buck, light weight and nice head shape for sticking under the cuff for a BP. The light construction might be an issue for audio interference, but for the most part for what I do as an EMT I just need to listen to rate, quality and presence and even in a noisy ambulance it is more than adequate.

Some people said this isn't a real Littman, I just wanted to let people know that even though it doesn't have a serial number, it is for sure a real Littman. On Littman's website, they addressed this concerned w/ the lightweight model: "The Lightweight II S.E. Stethoscope does not come with a traditional serial number. There is however a number and letter combination on the chestpiece that functions as the serial number if you need to activate your warranty. If you would like to access the Littmann Learning Institute app, please call us at 1-800-228-3957 Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 6 PM CST to receive a code. Thanks." I bought this stethescope for nursing school and I was amazed at how much clearer I can hear sounds for physical assessments. Also I love how light it is.

I am a nurse who floats around the hospital I work at, so I use this stethoscope for a variety of patients. I have owned a Littman Cardiology stethoscope in the past, but after (more than) a few years of use that one decided to either grow legs and walk away, or I left it someplace. While I may never know the answer to this (or see my Littman Cardiology again), I decided I needed to stop borrowing other's stethoscopes and buy a new one. I hate to spend money on things I already own, so I'd been avoiding the situation (but again, that means I was borrowing and that is super annoying). That being said, this stethoscope is proving it's well worth the price! Breath sounds, cardiac sounds, all clear as a bell. Physicians and co-workers have always bummed my stethoscope off of me (as I had begun doing when I lost mine), so I decided to go with the bright pink color and further glam it up with stethoscope charms and bling. Now I am at least guaranteed a good giggle even on the worst of days when some of the more stoic physicians and colleagues need to borrow my equipment. :) Worth it!

Love my littman lightweight stethoscopes! Not super expensive, and definitely not cheaply made! I hear what I need to hear and it doesn’t weigh me down. Very comfortable. I recommend these to nursing students and any nurses in general! Unless you’re in a specialty department and need to hear more

My old favorite. Just replaced the identical scope that was 20 years old. The plastic broke at the tubing connection to the bell when dropped on a hard surface. Other than that there was absolutely no wear and tear. Good sound. Can hear well even though clothing. Only down side I can see is there isn't any possibility of repairing it, then again my first one lasted a full 20+ years of daily work use and no doubt it's been dropped plenty of times. Light weight if you wear your's around your neck as I do. No danger of clunking a patient with a hard metal head.

I tried this stethoscope out on cardiac patients right after getting it and thought it was immensely clear and sensitive enough to pick up subtle murmurs. It shouldn't be expected to be as good as a cardiology stethoscope but is great if you wear it around your next for 12 hours at a time. A remarkable product for the price. If you have trouble auscultations with this you should get your hearing checked.

I'm a veterinary student and I've been pretty much using a littmann cardiology III for all of my small animal stuff and loved it. However, as I've started equine labs I've found that my old stethoscope was a bit difficult to maneuver up in to certain places (like auscilation of the tricuspid valve in the armpit area) and this stethoscope was recommended to me by one of my equine professors. I used it today on some exams and I was happy with the quality of the sound, it was very light weight and seems durable to use for large animal, and the shape worked really well to help me get in to the places I struggled with before. This will probably become my preferred stethoscope for large animal and it makes a great backup to have for other uses as well.
