Maybe I need a new dishwasher but all my ceramic mugs stain badly from the tea we drink. I even tried using twice the amount of dishwasher detergent (an expensive option) but those darn mugs still came out stained. Since my dishwasher cleans everything else properly I wondered if I could solve the problem by using glass tea holders the way they do in some parts of Europe. When I googled glass tea mugs these came right up. I read the reviews, some favorable, some not, and contacted reviewers about how these came out of the dishwasher. Armed with positive responses I purchased these mugs. No more ceramic hanging around on the counter waiting for a stiff scrub or bleach. Yeah! No problem with rough seams either.

I love ANCHOR HOCKING SO MUCH!!! As a young latino gay, we are so loyal to brands my manager recommended me this brand. I started with their mixing bowls, now glass cups, and now mugs! It just lasts! You won't regret it! I bought this for my "mom" for her birthday. She has a lot of company over and she loves to pull these out for coffee. Its so classy. I had to buy her a second set because she has one for display and one for use. NEXT IM BUYING HER THOSE LARGE JARS!

Anchor is a fine old maker of glass products. Same quality evident with these mugs. I bought these mugs to make hot tea. They work well for iced tea and coffee also. Orange juice too. No issues with breaking glass . Two mugs stack nicely for storage. Seeing through the glass is very nice for many drinks! Keep the beverages hot or cold. Easy to hold if you have issues with your hands. These glass mugs match everything and look nice with patterned dishes, etc. Very versatile! Highly recommend.

I opened the box and all were intact. I did have one that had a little extra glass at the handle top and it sanded down easily. We really like the shape especially the rim shape. Obviously the glass does not add any insulating properties. After reading other reviews of shattered mugs when hot water added/heated, I took them straight from the shipping box and filled them all with boiling water sitting in the sink to see if they had any weak spots and all were just fine. I have microwaved a couple to reheat and both heated up just fine, they actually heated up pretty fast compared to another mug I have used. The only thing that is a little annoying is if you put them in the dishwasher inverted flat, the base will fill up with water. I just tip them slightly 45 deg angle, (actually raises mug rim off rack for more complete cleaning of rim) propping handle up on the top rack sides. Will update if we have any problems.

First of all, these were packaged so well...that I "packaged my Christmas glasses" in the same box! And it was a box within a box - super packaging, and the boxes were clean as well!! Second, over other brands, we have been fans of Anchor Hocking for years. We have had this set of coffee mugs for years...this order...more comfortable handle...so we were thrilled - the base is just a tad "shorter" which actually is better suited for the balance...all the way around, these are winners, and not expensive either! They look EXACTLY like the photo - highly recommend!

After looking for quite a while, I finally chose this mug for my daily Cafe' con leche. I particularly needed this size cup to accommodate the amount of coffee produced by my 2-cup machineta and the hot milk which I froth with an immersion blender. I like the curve of the lip which is also fairly thin and similar to the ceramic mug I had been using. The handle is very comfortable and easy to manage. I just got them, so I don't know well they will hold up. They are actually quite beautiful, though, and would be ideal for tea, hot cider, hot chocolate, mulled wine, Irish coffee, etc. I don't think they would be good for soup, however, unless it was something drinkable because use of a spoon would not be easy. For $5.00 each, when you buy six, you get free shipping. I think these are the same mugs they sell at Williams Sonoma, though they wouldn't confirm who their manufacturer is. They are the same price there, if you have a store near you. Otherwise, this is a good value because you save the $7.50 shipping charge! They claim to be made in the U.S.A., so that is another reason to buy them.

Generic version of Princess House coffee mugs, my mother wondered what she would do if hers ever broke. I found these and surprised her, she LOVED it. Best coffee mugs ever, and great price! Arrived alive! Princess House was 149.99$ for set of 6. This was <20$ shipped for set of 6 (with Prime). One very very very happy retired mother = priceless. AWESOME! The mower blew up 7~8 days later and she doesn't even CARE (not my fault anyways).

I've used these Anchor Hocking mugs for 8 years. Every time I break one, which is rare, I buy another. Buying them in this set made for an unbeatable bargain! Timeless design. Moderate quality. Goes with any contemporary pattern of dishware. Highly recommended! Be advised! These are not perfect and the price reflects the basic quality. If you're looking for identical quality between units, look elsewhere. You will encounter quality individual differences between these mugs. These mugs are restaurant quality, everyday, beat it up, who cares if you break one, usage. They're pressed glass, not crystal. And with ANY pressed glass construction, you're taking a risk. And yes, these are the same units sold by Crate and Barrel and I don't have the time to go to a bricks and mortar store to 'shop' for everyday mugs. If you're looking for a high quality mug, look at Lenox or Wedgewood. For a medium price, try Forteluxe Super White.

These are my favorite coffee cups. I've bought them a couple of times because my husband loves them so much he leaves the house with them when he visits our relatives that live very close by. Our relatives, who now all have full sets, also love them. I've never had one break or chip, only disappear.

They did have rough spots right out of the box - so bad that I thought only three of the six cups were usable - but after a couple weeks of use, they're all smoothed out and nice! Every visitor we've had since getting these cups has commented on them. They look like hot toddy mugs and there's just something special about them. We drink three times as much hot chocolate as we used to, just because using these mugs feels so nice, especially around the holidays. Definitely recommended! And give them a few runs through the dishwasher if they come out of the box feeling rough or sharp.
