Dorman 42694 wiper arm works well on the passenger side of my 2003 GMC truck. The original wiper spring bracket broke and it would not press on the windshield. Removing it was the most difficult task but not really an issue. A small amount of penetrating oil and a moderate bit of hand force and the old one was off. Removed the wiper blade from the old and put it on the new. Then the new arm was pressed onto the shaft and the nut was tightened. Since the 42694 has the spray nozzle in the arm body a small plug must be pressed into a hose fitting. The new arm with old wiper worked great. At first the washer did not spay out but after about 1 minutes spray was equal from both wipers. Lingering smell of the penetrating oil was gone the next day.

Quality replacement part.

Some people have said this was cheaply made but I found it to be of the same quality as the factory arm that I replaced. I have had it on for a week and used it with no problems or issues. Installation was what you expect, getting the old arm off was difficult and required a little WD-40 but installation of the new arm only took a minute.

Good Stuff

Used this to replace the passenger side wiper arm on my 2006 Silverado 2500HD. Works good, has a hinge, so that's a bonus. The angle that the blade sits against the windshield is a little different than OEM, but does not seem to impact functionality.

This product was just as when brand new, when I installed it I was working for about 5 minutes and it was done. Dorman has great products and I by dorman when I get the chance.

Better than OEM

You couldn't flip the wipers up to change the blades on the stock arms. These allow you to do that. I recommend these wiper arms.

The wiper arm fit perfect. You will need a puller to remove the old arm. I replaced the other side with a Dorman arm 9 months ago and it is working great. The paint is a little thin but it is smooth. Recommend.
