Easy install, great for allergies. Also, here's the steps to reset service indicator in BMW.
Super easy install saves money - helps keep allergies at bay .. resetting service indicator steps I used for a 2006 BMW 330i Step 1 Insert key into slot Step 2 Press start/stop button without depressing clutch/brake and wait for the service reminder to dissapear. Step 3 Immediately after service reminder goes out, press and hold the odometer reset. After 3 secs a warning triangle will appear, keep the odo. button pressed and after another 2-3 secs the Oil can will appear. I f you hold it too long (10 secs in total) you will overshoot the runway and some German writing will appear giving the software level/ can bus etc. of the car. Go back to the beginning and start again. Step 4 You are now in the service menu, use the toggle switch on indicator stalk to scroll up/down through the various service items. Step 5 When you have the item you want to reset showing, press the BC button on end of indicator stalk. Reset should now appear in the display. Press in and hold the BC button for 2-3 secs and a clock will start whirling around and hey presto, its done Step 6 You can now either scroll up/down to select another item (as in step 4) or you can press the start/stop button to exit.

Check your cabin filter and change it, it's easy
I can't say whether the air quality is improved or not from installing this filter. It seems the same. The filter I took out was dirty though, so the filter should be changed on a regular basis, and your shop might not do it for you or suggest it. This was the correct filter for my 2010 BMW 328i XDrive Wagon. This filter was easy to change, fit well and seems well made. The price was reasonable, no complaints

Replacement Microfilter for 2006 BMW E90
Ordered this Mann filter for a 2006 BMW E90 and it fits perfectly. It took no more than 10 minutes to replace the microfilter on this car and to reset the service light. To do the install, you only need an 8mm socket and driver to remove the microfilter housing. Once the microfilter housing is off, release the microfilter from the tabs that are holding it in place. Then reverse the process (you may need to use a little force to insert the microfilter back into the housing). To reset your service light, insert your fob key and press the start button (do not depress the brake pedal). Wait for the warning lights to go away and the temp and time to show in the instrument panel, then press and hold the odometer trip reset until the oil can appears. Now, you're in the service menu. On your turn signal stalk, use the up/down toggle to cycle through the different services until the microfilter service indicator comes on. To reset the service interval, press the BC button on your turn signal stalk to get the reset option and then press and hold the BC button until you see a timer icon. Done!

What hasn't already been said?
The price is unbeatable and the filter fits my '06 330xi perfectly. I replace it about once a year, before the service indicator goes off, but this year I had to replace it twice because there was so much road salt dust in the air that the service indicator came on a lot sooner than usual. The biggest tip I can offer is to make absolutely sure that you put the housing back in place perfectly, otherwise you'll have water leak into the cabin, through the blower motor, and into the carpet on the passenger's side... I know from experience.

2008 BMW 328xi Coupe Cabin Air (Microfilter) replacement,
I purchased the Mann CUK 8430 Cabin Filter with Activated Charcoal for my 2008 BMW 328xi Coupe, installed it myself, and saved about a hundred dollars over having the dealer do it. This filter is very easy to replace and comes with instructions in the box. The Amazon price is half what the dealer charges and the Mann filter is the same one used by the dealers. BMW recommends changing this filter every two years. Mine was replaced under the original four year BMW free maintenance plan just two years ago. It was very dirty and I've only drive about 7000 miles since that replacement. It took me just ten minutes to do this myself. There are just six 8mm hex bolts holding down the upper microfilter cover (in which the filter is installed, It is held in place with three built-in plastic clips. I should be able to do this in about five minutes or less next time.

Perfect OEM Replacement
Great replacement for OEM BMW 3 Series filters (2006-2011). Don't get ripped off by a BMW dealer that will charge you ~$80 for the part and labor, order this and do it yourself. There are plenty of Youtube videos explaining how to do so if you aren't mechanically inclined. Took me 8-10min to install and fit perfectly in my 2008 335xi. Completely eliminated the slightly "musty" smell that occured when running the A/C on higher settings. I recommend cleaning the filter housing with an all-purpose cleaner before screwing the new one back in, especially if you haven't had yours replaced in a while.

Good Replacement Filter
OEM replacement filter. I had hoped that this filter would solve the funky moldy odor coming from the Air Conditioning system, but this filter is not the root cause. Mold can grow inside the AC condenser module whenever the car is shut off for an extended time with condensation in the module. The best fix, is to use the AC system judiciously, turning it off with the fan running at high speed, 5 minutes before reaching your destination. This allows fresh air to blow through the condenser to dry it out after each trip.

Make Sure It Fits Prior To Purchase
2013 BMW 128i.....perfect fit. Easy install. Very happy. I think BMW changes this part 1x a year so for under $20.00 you can ensure your breathing good air and your a/c unit will last longer not under strain of a dirty cabin filter. To top it off, Mann Filters are used in Germany for BMW's....quality 3 layer filtration they say...

Perfect fit for my 2007 BMW 335i
I just purchased a 2007 BMW 335i sedan and started to go through it and replace the filters and fluids. The car had a cellar smell to it and I thought I'd change out the cabin air filter. I found a DIY video on how to change the cabin filter and it looked really easy so I attempted it. All you have to do is remove the screws that hold the filter housing and pull out the old one. The old one was dark grey and full of dirt. So I cleaned up the filter housing and sprayed Lysol disinfectant spray into the vent openings where the air flows into the car. Apparently, moisture gets in there and over time mold can grow on the blower fins causing a musty smell. A good dose of Lysol on the filter and I installed it back in the car. This filter fit perfectly and shipped quickly. I saved a bunch of money by doing this myself versus having the dealer charge me a fortune.

Fits 2013 BMW X1 perfectly. Save yourself over $100!
The filter fit my 2013 BMW X1 perfectly. The local dealer wants about $130.00 to replace this filter. You can change this filter in minutes by removing 6 screws. Save yourself over $100.00 and change it yourself! The replacement filter looks exactly like the one I took out of my car which was installed previously by the dealer prior to me purchasing the BMW.
