First Rate Quality at a bargain Price. Anytime you can beat Walmart for price and have the same or better quality of any auto parts store you know you have a winner. This style of connector is the most secure for use on any car, truck, bus, trailer etc. Better fit than any flat 4 prong unit and you have the option of using 7 or more contacts. What can be better?

I bought this to use with my detachable motorcycle truck, now for use with an RV. Very solid. The color coding molded into the shell didn't match the downloaded color coding for my motorcycle trunk, so I just created my own wiring diagram and followed that for both this female member and the associated male member.

Like this model, because you can wire it yourself and not have to purchase a harness. I have put 7 Male plugs on all my 12 volt items (note only used two connections needed, negative and positive of 7 pin) like 12 volt compressor, so I can access power from Truck's 7 pin. This will be connected to my RV batteries, mounted to RV, and provide an access port for my 12 accessories.

Seems to be a well built, quality piece of equipment. Wire lugs were easy to connect to, housing seems to be solid, and easily connected to both of my trailers male side plugs.

I needed a cheap socket. This is a cheap socket. I use it to plug in my trailer lights at night. I would not use it for towing personal

I used this to make a horse trailer battery charger. I wired this socket to hot/neutral and at the end put round clips with bolts. I then connected the plug from the horse trailer into it and a standard 12v 6A charger (with auto sensing capacity) clipped onto the bolts. I then had a way to recharge the trailer battery when it is unused for longer periods of time. Worked perfectly.

Good value here at the rain forest for the Curt brand name while the local retail places want 2-3 times as much. Installed several of these and no problems.

It is all good hard plastic, with solid brass connector ends, and very clear and concise instructions . Does not come with the mounting bracket, but they are very inexpensive to get here on Amazon .

A solid brand and most importantly the spring is strong and keeps the plug from collecting debris, snow and rain. Easy to install and mount. The only thing that needs improvement is if it had a tighter more flexible grommet for the wiring loom. However the one it has works.

It works. No mounting screws were included but none were advertised. Like others have mentioned, wiring diagram/colors may be different than your vehicle. I don't think this is a fault of the connector, the industry standard is not so standard especially when you get in to the home-built trailers and repairs.
