Switched from a 2011 Nissan frontier to a 2012 Pathfinder. Knew I would lose some payload support going from a truck to a SUV. But these vehicles are very similar yet the Pathfinder is extremely bad supporting the added weight of towing a boat. After reading several forums it looks like the pathfinder has a known squat issue and cannot support the rear weight of the vehicle properly and for towing it's ridiculous. Forums suggested switching to biltstein shocks, Moog spring coils and air lift 1000. I started with the shocks which helped but not much. I then decided to do the moog springs and air lifts at the same time. Air lift directions state you can deflate them and insert them between the coils on the springs. This may be true with the stock coils which are thinner, have less coils and more space between them. But with the aftermarket coils there is alot less space and I couldn't squeeze them in. Not a big deal since I had to disassemble the suspension to put the moogs it. If you plan on upgrading the springs do them along with the coils else you may find you have to remove the coils to add the air lifts later on. My pathfinder used to bottom out when hitting bumps, potholes or railroad tracks resulting in a bounce/jarring effect. After adding these air lifts and inflating to 30 psi that has been eliminated. Rear sits a bit higher and absorbs the shock. Biggest relief is now when I connect my 22' boat the rear suspension only drops about 1" allowing me to more easily connect the weight distribution support/sway bars. Now that the vehicle and boat are more level and even both acceleration and braking has improved. The back no longer bounces up and down and no longer bottom outs with the large bump. Anyone who tows a large vehicle with a SUV should add these to their SUV. Trucks may handle towing weight alot better but passenger SUV's seem to be really bad at handling the extra weight. I ended up adding a weight distribution hitch, heavy duty shocks and springs. Even though I did the springs and air lifts at the same time when the air lifts had no pressure the coils helped but not vastly. Based on this if I ever have to go back and improve the suspension on another vehicle I think I would start with the air lifts first. Think they would have fixed the problems without changing out the other parts as I have seen the biggest improvement since adding the air lifts.

So.. I purchased this because my rear end already had a slight sag and I'm going to be towing a loaded down uhaul trailer at the beginning of this coming year *good riddance 2020*.. And it has helped not just my ride height in the back but the ride in general! It was super easy to install, seems like it will last a good bit of time and hey.. It keeps me from having to buy new springs/shocks for the rear (2012 Pathfinder). I installed the air valves separately because I don't really trust in the plastic T that was sent. I'm sure it would work fine but I just wanted it to be independent. Also for those folks out there where their bags did blow, this comes with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer so.. Unless you did something dumb with them, you should be able to get them replaced. I'll be buying Bilstein's and Moogs for the back in the next couple of years but for now? Hey I'm happy. I'll update this review once I make the 1900 mile tow.

I have owned these for 2 years. They are on a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. I kept each air spring independent of the other (meaning I ran an air hose from each bag to the back of the truck to it's own Schrader valve. If you use the T included air can shift from one air spring to the other as the load shifts. It helped stiffen the ride and helps with any weight carried in the truck. When I ran the hoses I put them in 1/4" corrugated conduit and then routed them. Be aware that the conduit wants to twist so over time it may twist the hose inside and want to kink it. After time it will confirm. I did have to deflate one of the airbags and turn in within the coil spring to alleviate a kink that had developed. Once I did that everything is fine and I don't worry about the air hoses wearing through somewhere. The install was simple. Put the hoses on the bags before inserting into the coil spring. There are small clamps that secure the hose on the bag. Installing and then trying to assure you have the hose on properly after installing in the coil would be a pain in the derriere. A simple install maybe takes 30 minutes. I'm a type A personality and like everything perfect so I spent extra time protecting hoses, routing hoses, making a custom bracket for the Schrader valves, etc. I check the pressure occasionally and there are never any leaks. Temperature changes can effect the pressure. The bags show no wear from rubbing on the coils. Follow the advice of the directions and online youtube video instruction from Air Lift. I run anywhere from 15 to 25 lbs in them.

These Air Springs work great on my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder! The kit came with everything I needed. I did make a little custom plate to have the air valves on the rear of the vehicle on my hitch. Also I did set it up with a dual air line instead of using the line-T. I rather have all the air in each individual air bag. If I used the T I heard that the air can travel from each side. Lastly very easy to install. It took me about 1 hour total. Also I have been keeping mine at 13 PSI in each bag for everyday driving.

I wanted something that wouldn't break the bank and give my Pathfinder a little support. It did exactly that! They weren't fun to install since you need to shove them between the springs but, it was worth it. I only have 10psi (36psi is max) and it made a huge difference. No sag and stiffer ride as this was mainly for support when towing. A little tip, remove cap on bag, sit on bag to get it flat and reinstall cap. Getting the bag flat is key to installing between springs! Otherwise, you are fighting it.

I got these for my 2010 pathfinder to assist towing my 5200lb trailer. Stock springs just were far to weak for the load. I also installed new coil springs which raised the back about 1 inch and don't compress as much. . Along with an equalizer hitch it tows perfect. The ride unloaded is not too harsh. If towing a lighter trailer you probably don't need all the stuff I did. Took about 4 hours to install, I removed the coils to put them in.

Installed on the Nissan Pathfinder 2014 Classic Excellent product, easy to install, and the rear of the car has become more stable . There is no swing as before . Upon the load, the vehicle level will not go down . Thank the seller for communicating and shipping the product despite the presence of the Covid 19 virus pandemic

I put these on my 2011 Pathfinder LE and install took less than an hour, I installed these while I was replacing my rear shocks and had plenty of room in the spring to stuff them once the truck was on jacks. I ran the air hose out the top of the spring, through the frame and out the back with the schrader valves coming out of each side of my lower bumper, I did not use the T fitting. I ran them through the frame to ensure there would be no binding or chaffing on the hoses, the section that ran through the hole in the frame I added Teflon tape just in case. I run 15psi in both bags for every day driving and it's like night and day compared to before install. I have not hauled anything yet but I'm sure these will work great.

I bought these to help out the rear suspension of my wife's 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. She is always running around with our two kids and their associated gear which caused the extremely soft suspension to bottom out on even the smallest of bumps. Not to mention that the Pathfinder had a lot of body roll in the turns and swayed quite a bit at highway speeds. These airbags were very easy to install and I ended up mounting each fill line individually rather than using the supplied T fitting. Allowing air to travel from one bag to the other can contribute to body roll, especially while cornering.

While Air Lift will say they do not make the product for the 2008 Nissan Pathfinder 4x2, I believe this is a misconception on their part. After talking to their customer service they said that the 4x2's have leaf springs as opposed to coil springs. So, after trying to order on Amazon and getting the "part does not fit your car" message, I decided to check out the Nissan Pathfinder coil springs for the 4x4s vs the 4x2. According to the Nissan parts website, they use exactly the same coil spring. With that information, I ordered the product regardless of what Amazon told me. Just installed them today without any issues. Pathy rides a lot better and the install only took me two hours. The only hole I had to drill was to mount the air valve. Easy job with great results.
