This stuff is absolutely AMAZING!!! Our Boxer has terrible skin allergies. It effects the top of his head and inner and outer ears, it made him uncomfortable and miserable. We tried everything possible to help him find relief with very little success. The itching became so bad he had open soars on his face from digging and scratching at his ears. He was miserable and I felt horrible for not being able to find anything to give him relief. Then I came across this product and thought I would give a try... I’d already tried everything else, and for the price we had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Due to the amount of treatments we had tried our Boxer was not happy for us to try yet another product. After the first application the inflammation and redness in his ears had shown immediate improvement. After the first week his ears were almost completely back to normal, the psoriasis rash on his head was almost gone and the soars from digging were finally healing. After two weeks his ears were normal and his rash gone. He even was perfectly happy to let us apply the ointment because of the relief it gave him. I definitely recommend trying this product if your fur baby has skin condition. I will 100% buy this product again and again!!!!

My dog has had hot spots since she was about one year old. She'll be three next week. I've been searching for something to help her with her hotspots. I've had so many vet visits, so much antibiotics, and I finally said to myself "my dog is just going to have these and I'll have to deal with it". I bought this stuff from reading reviews on another product that suggested this. This stuff is amazing! My dogs hot spot was gone in a couple days. Usually it takes about 2-3 weeks for her to completely heal from them. Hope someone gets the relief I did from this.

This ointment is totally amazing, My mother has a 12 year old dog named Tia who has been under vet care for what they told my mother was similar to MRSA for almost a year. My mother was going broke paying for antibiotics that were doing nothing to heal the swollen, boil like thing on her dog's ear which was about 2 inches thick. I told my mother I would look around amazon and see if there was "some kind of ointment that might at least help with the pain and keep down infection." I read reviews for several products and decided on this. After only 3 days my mother's dogs ear was almost completely down to it's original size and she was no longer acting like she was in pain. We ordered 4 more tubes of ointment and she is still using it on Tia with amazing results. I also got one for my beagle who we think developed an allergy to something, she had lost almost all the hair on her back and was itching constantly. This is the 4th day of using it on my beagles back and the hair is already growing back. I gave my beagle a bath and then when she was dry I rubbed all the red, itchy spots down with this. The next morning all of the flaking skin was gone and it was no longer red and irritated. My only complaint I could think of for this ointment is that I wish is came in bigger tubes, but other than that my mother and I are singing the praises of this product. I wish I had a picture of my mother's dog ear before this ointment and what it looks like now because just looking at the photos would show everyone how wonderful this stuff is.

We got this for our newf with hot spots. I shaved and washed the rather large spot in his feathers and dried it before putting on the salve. It has a strong menthol smell like Vick's and I think that helped make our dog not want to lick it. One time and the problem was resolved but I put the ointment on one more time to be sure. I do think shaving is key to resolving a hot spot and combined with this salve, the results were truly impressive. So impressive, in fact, that my husband and I have starting using it on itchy insect bites on ourselves with great success!

This stuff is AMAZING. My GSP had a raised bump (maybe bug bite that she wouldn't leave alone, or maybe infected hair follicle), it was a pretty nice size and seemed to full of fluid. However I tried a couple of things and it wasn't getting any better so I decided to try this ointment and it is crazy how fast it healed up. I maybe had to use it 3 times before it was gone. I showed the vet and she agreed that this ointment was the perfect treatment. Plus, what a great price (:

Seriously one of the best products out there for humans and pets. I use this instead of Neosporin or petroleum jelly. Great for cuts, hot spots, yeast, insect bites, sore paws, or as a preventative layer. So great that when I lose this tube I'm on the internet buying another the same day. A little goes a long way. I thin layer on pretty much any skin ailment usually improves it nearly overnight. If this doesn't fix what ails you or your pet then a vet visit is in order to make sure it's not something more serious. But this will handle most everyday skin problems.

This ointment was a lifesaver. My black lab had been suffering from seasonal allergies and was pulling out the hair on her backside so bad that it was bleeding and we ended up having to put her in the cone of shame while we were not home so that she wouldn't rip her backside apart. I found the reviews of others to be in a similar situation and thought this product looked too inexpensive to work, but I was very surprised that it worked so well. We kept the cone on our lab, but after only a few days of using this, she began to heal and we were able to get her out of the cone. She healed up beautifully and her previously bald spot grew back nicely. I highly recommend it to those who are dealing with similar issues.

Works wonders!! Definitely helped and continues to help my dog. Helped heal his ear that he intensely scratched due to allergies. His ear was very bad but just one application and I could see he felt relief. The next day you could tell it was healing and see the difference.

After 18 months of watching my pit mix suffer from “hot spots”, “flea allergy”, and continual licking and scratching trying to help herself after her skin lost hair, and had tiny areas of blood and scabbing, I broke down and bought this to see if it made the difference because it seemed we needed the “numbness” that the product brought on after applying. Yes, it smells medicinal as soon as you open the cap, and I was concerned that it would initially cause a burning over the open would area before it would numb. But PB loved every minute of the ointment application turned into a massage. (Which helps for stress, anxiety, and blood flow/healing). She originally had begun with a half inch area in circumference that was losing hair, minor scabbing and since it was on her back rear area she could easily get to it. After trying many things including antibiotics that the vet gave us, and antifungal Creams, her half inch are over time became at least 7 inches long and about 2 inches wide and was hairless. Her constant And incessant scratching and rubbing her back on the floor drove both dog and us crazy. We tried antibiotic ointments, and essential oils with massage that definitely seemed to help but it was counterproductive with her being able to get back at it with her tongue and teeth when the solution wore off. A come over her head did not work, she is a Ninja and slipped it every time or would hurt herself trying which causes her more trauma than it’s worth. After 72 hours of applying this creme generously once per day and massaging the area and area around it, the red flare ups were gone and hair growing back. She finally stopped throwing herself on the ground trying to soothe herself. No more licking nor scratching it open again. Why had I not heard of this before??? Do yourself a favor. Stop searching for products right now. I’ve already spent so much money trying to help her find comfort. The vet wanted to put her on medication and it didn’t even help let alone the cost. Yes there are underlying causes for hot spots so you need to know why your dog is getting them? In our case, our dog is an anxious dog. And is allergic to fleas. So the least little itch she has she cannot leave alone. She focuses on it and cannot leave it alone which creates the hot spot. I am so thankful I found this product. And of course it is a brand name that has been around for years.

I got this for my dog who was obsessed with licking the base of his tail. He is a white dog that is allergic to everything. I am assuming it was allergies that were bothering him. I googled and read reviews and came across this product. It really seems to have worked. It calmed down the area after about three applications and he is now no longer licking his tail. It is an ointment. It was easy to apply/rub in. A little goes a long way. I was happy with the fact that this is Ok to be used on open skin. When looking for a product, I wanted to find one that would not hurt when applied. This one does not appear to have hurt even on his red inflamed skin. This will be a staple medical treatment in our home for our dogs as needed. Thanks to everyone else for writing a review that was helpful to me in finding this great product. I hope I can do the same for you!
