measure first to determine correct pin size

Measure first to confirm correct pin size. I was unaware there were different sizes. There are 1/4 inch and 5/16 inch pins. The 1/4 inch pins will be a sloppy fit when used in a hitch hole designed for a 5/16 inch pin. You can find how well it will fit by inserting a 1/4 inch drill bit and then using a 5/16 inch drill bit into the hitch. That will indicate how good or bad the fit will be. Overall a fine pin. My experience with these pins is they usually surface rust after just a few years, other than that they function fine. The safety latch does securely hold the pin in place. If you need more security a padlock will prevent tampering.

Works Like a Charm

I bought this to replace the 3/8" Lynch Pin on the Swagman XTC2 Tilt bicycle rack. This one works much better than the original piece because it's easier to insert and remove to tilt the rack. Moreover, the company that sold the rack that this pin is being used in doesn't even know its own products well enough to send the correct part as they sent me a much larger replacement that doesn't even fit.

If you are looking for a pin to secure your 2 5/16" Atwood or similar Coupler this is the ticket. Fits the hole very well and you can not install it unless the coupler is fully engaged and once installed you can not release the coupler with the pin in the hole, exactly what you want it to do!!!!

Perfect pin for what I needed

I needed a pin to lock the handle of my fifth-wheel hitch and this fits perfectly. It's exactly what I needed, the guard locks it in place nicely, and it was here two days after I ordered it. The price was also an excellent value. Highly recommended!

Replaced the permanent pins in my back seats

I got these to make the back seats in my SUV (93 Pathfinder) easier to remove. While the back of the seat folds down flat the bottom lifts up and really gets in the way so I would have to remove the bolts. To use these I took out the permanent pins by grinding them out and replaced them with these. I figured if they work on a trailer hitch they'll hold the seat. Now it takes less time to remove the seat and I don't have to use tools. The size was a perfect fit!
