More secure than a pin hitch on small equipment

Just what I needed to convert the tongue on my Buffalo Turbine blower to a ball hitch instead of the pin hitch it came with. My yard is rather uneven in spots (ok, everywhere) and the pin hitch was getting bent and beat up constantly. Now that issue is a thing of the past and the blower is connected to the tractor far more securely. I used my angle grinder to remove the pin hitch, ground everything smooth, painted the bare metal with Rustoleum, then drilled & bolted the new hitch unto the trailer tongue with stainless steel bolts and self locking nuts. It ain't goin' anywhere now.

great receiver, easy operation

Simple product simple short and sweet review. I replaced my rusty old receiver which had a very hard to operate locking latch. After using a half dozen other trailers I have to say none felt as smooth as butter as this one. Once I get the receiver on the ball its a 1 hand 1 finger operation to lock the latch - no wiggling no fiddling no finessing its a dream. Manufacturing tolerances seem spot on, finish appears it would be durable and its made from heavy stock so it feels solid. Would recommend even if its just to replace a working finicky receiver.

A Nice Product. It’s a Work of Art.

Holes didn’t lineup, but that’s my deal. I’m sure where they’re at is an industry standard by now. I used various size bits to get the 7/16” holes (5) using a smaller drill. Used zinc hardware. This 2-2 coupler was an inch or so longer than the previous one which necessitated moving the security chain bolt further back on the tongue as well as the trailer jack/wheel. Keep that in mind if your trailer has a smaller tongue length or extra supports there which might be in the way when folding up the front wheel. *Fresh paint and new chain coming soon. Note: Side bolts are 3/8” x 3”, upper bolt is 3/8” x 1”.

Great coupler.

Although it took me a while to grind off the old 1 7/8" coupler off my old trailer, this new 2" fit perfectly. I'm not sure what the one review said, because it measures 2" inside to inside, or maybe even a fuzz bigger so that when you bolt it on it fit's perfect. Great product.

Must have if using 2x2 tongue

I upgraded the tongue on my harbor freight trailer to a 2x2 tongue and this fit great. Most in store couplers have a channel width of 2.5.

High quality

I used this to mount on some 2 in tube used to extend the tongue on my light duty camping trailer. It is sturdy and seems like it should last.

this was a good way to save myself time

I purchased this coupler to replace the original 1 7/8" coupler on a small trailer I have. The rest of my trailers all use a 2 inch coupler. I figured for the price, this was a good way to save myself time. Installation was very straightforward. Coupler works as it should. Very happy that I don't have to swap my balls around as often. Great price on this item as well.
