It has worked wonderfully from the start. I have not had any problems with it. So much better than my last surger which caused me so much trouble. I like Janome products. I also have a Janome sewing machine which works very well also.

I bought this one as a present for my mom. She is a professional tailor and always preferred industrial type machines, but wanted a small one for home use. Two years later she still happy, it has all metal parts inside and works flawless a real workhorse. If you need one don’t look further, this is the best.

Wonderful machine !!!!

This item was super reasonable for a Janome brand & free shipping made it even better. Item gives me the versatility I wanted with a serger. Love it!!

I just bought this machine at a certified Janome dealer. Their list price was higher, but they gave it to me for basically the same price that I see it here. I have had a serger before, and NO serger is easy to thread so that doesn't bother me. I do the pull through method if I can. I will say that it sews great for what I use it for. I took it out of the box and with a few adjustments to make it do a rolled hem, it was ready to use. I was using it for rolled hems and they were beautiful! I used it for almost 2 hours straight and never had a hiccup. As far as the pedal being difficult, I had very little issues with that. It might start out a bit fast, but once I got used to the feel, I was ok with it.

This machine is great! I've had mine for 10 months and used it for countless projects and it is still running smoothly. I use it primarily for sewing knit fabrics. It has been great for everything from thick sweatshirt material to thin tissue knits. Threading it isn't the easiest thing ever, I guess, but really with a bit of patience it is definitely doable, and gets easier every time you do it. I would suggest practicing a couple of times right off the bat to make sure you're comfortable with it and don't spend your sewing time worrying about potentially needing to re-thread it. The directions in the manual are reasonably intuitive, and after using them a couple of times I can now just follow the diagram on the machine. It takes about 5 minutes.

I am no serger expert. I mainly use it to finish raw edges. However, this machine is very versatile. It comes pre-threaded which is awesome because it looks insane to thread it. The only thing I would say you should take into consideration is what you plan to do with it. It doesn't do thick hems or multiplelayers of fabric very well. It is definitely not an industrial machine, but if you are using it for home, it should be all you need.

This machine is perfect. I had a Janome years ago. It is a great quality machine for my hobby in sewing
