Home for the Masons
I like it but the mason bees have been indifferent to it so far. I wanted something that would allow me to collect the cocoons easily in the fall and this seemed perfect. Tearing those paper tubes open is hard on the hands and doesn't really protect the bees from the parasitic wasp. Perhaps the hole size wasn't right for the early spring bees and this will be used by the summer batch. The house is well made and easy to assemble.

Highly recommend as teaching tool
Well constructed, trays are easily cleaned or stored, design is perfect for use as a teaching tool.

I love that I can take it apart and clean it ...
Very well made. I love that I can take it apart and clean it as needed or even replace sections. Really good design.

Entertaining
We mounted the Mason Bee house on our gazebo and within a week, 8 of the holes were already sealed with Alabama red clay. We can sit in the gazebo and watch the bees fly back and forth working hard to fill the cavities. Eventually we’ll get the nerve to gently open the layers to see how the work was done. If you’re wondering, the bee house is very high quality construction. This would make a wonderful gift for our grandchildren when they’re a little older.

Well Constructed and Easy to Clean
I'm happy that I chose this mason bee house. It is well made and will easily come apart for cleaning. The mason bees in my yard starting filling it within a few days of hanging it. With all of the holes filled already , I wish I would have purchased two.

I wrote before that I really liked this masons new home
I wrote before that I really liked this masons new home, but the bees rather flew to the old ones that are not even closer to this one, that sits in the middle of the best food around. They came but never entered, tried a couple of times and couldn't make it in so that was that. I was going to try and enlarge the openings but I didn't want to started now. So they went back inside, and as I was taking them apart it occurred to me that if did a bit of upside down maybe it will work. I took them apart, I made sure everything was clean and then one went up and the next came down. I took it back outside and the ones that didn't bothered since it is right next to their favorite plums, started to get closer, and even a male came about. I left to get something done on the raised beds where the others are, and they were happy going in and out. By the time I got back to the new house a handful of them were going from the flowers to the new house. Our masons are rather bigger than the ones I grew up with, I don't know why, but they need a bigger place. Since I am sure no one is going to understand what I am talking about I got a couple of photos and I think I will leave it like that from now on. For as long as my bees are happy, there is no reason to do anything.

I GOT BEES, HOORAY!
Great. Very well made. I put it up a little late in the season but I still have several holes filled up with bees for next year. Came with good instructions, Made in England. Easy opening to avoid parasites next year after they are out in the world. Should last many years and since this is my first venture in to helping with pollination I am delighted. Also attractive. I bought another brand at the same time and the bees disdained it.

Great little hive.
Great little bee hive. They took right to it. We had a warm November, so we lost our mason bees this year and had to buy more. Now I can remove them from the hive and put them in the fridge till it's the right time. Just ordered two more.

High-quality, and wish I needed more!
Beautifully made, well worth any additional cost over other similar items. The roof peak is covered by a metal strip to keep the rain from entering the top. Each section is removeable. The item is held together with screws, instead of nails. The wood appears to be heavy and well-machined. The bottom is ready for a post without much additional work. The item comes boxed, with an informational insert showing you how to care for your house, and your bees. Very high-quality item, and after the other let-downs in today's 'think-spring' delivery, it was a breath of fresh air.

Excellent construction and quality materials
Excellent construction and quality materials. I just put it in the yard last week and it is still a little cool for the bee's to arrive. No doubt it will be used by the end of summer and even if it is ignored by the bees it still looks great in the garden. A little pricey but if you compare it to other similar items it is probably worth it based on the quality and looks alone. I will probably buy another one if this one is occupied this summer.
