It’s a little intimidating at first when putting it back together after washing it and the directions are not great. But after using it and seeing how much time I saved by doing a big batch instead of individual bottles, I’m sold! I definitely recommend to parents that are wanting a simpler and faster way to make formula. Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible. I use this pitcher for pumped breastmilk. I exclusively pump for my son and this makes bottle washing a little easier! As I pump throughout the day, I just add all extra milk that doesn't go to his next bottle into the pitcher. The next morning, I bag all the milk in the pitcher to be frozen and fill it back up with the current days breastmilk. This has cut down on my morning bottle washing so much! It's also very easy to prep bottles for the day right out of the pitcher. The mixer portion mixes the fat layer back into the milk very nicely.

The only formula my son tolerates is Similac Sensitive. Unfortunately, it's extremely foamy and stirring/swirling it gently rather than shaking doesn't reliably mix the formula. I tried making the bottles ahead of time and storing them in the fridge, but they'd still be foamy hours later. Enter the Dr. Brown's Formula Mixing Pitcher. The pitcher enables me to make perfect premade bottles without the foam. It's also extremely simple to use. For example, I make 4 premade bottles at 4 ounces each. To do this, I simply add 16 ounces of water and 8 scoops of Similac Sensitive. After that, I insert the pitcher lid, twist to lock, and gently mix the formula. To pour, I twist the locked lid until the opening lines up with the spout. At this point, any excess foam (significantly less than mixing in the bottles themselves) gets trapped in the mixer rather than the bottles so I don't have to worry about my son drinking foamy formula and getting gassy. While the price is fantastic I do wish the ounce markers were colored in rather than just raised, and I also wish the plastic material of the pitcher was thicker (kind of like the material of bottles), as it can feel a bit thin when full of water/formula. However, those are minor issues. All in all the Dr. Brown's Formula Mixing Pitcher is a must-have item for all formula feeding moms. Especially if you use foamy formulas like Similac Sensitive!

This pitcher makes it really convenient to mix up multiple bottles ahead of time so you can grab a bottle quickly when baby is hungry. It mixes quickly, and gets rid of clumps. My tip: use a digital kitchen scale to measure out the formula powder. It is faster than measuring out the scoops and you don't have to worry about losing count if you get distracted (was that 15 or 16 scoops?!). Plus weight measurements are more accurate than volume. The weight of each scoop is listed on the formula package, so just multiply that by the number of scoops you need. I put a post it on our scale with the number so I don't have to calculate it every time. We mix up 32 ounces of formula at a time then pour into bottles and store the bottles in the fridge. If you want to store the pitcher in the fridge, the lid can be rotated to a closed position. The volume markings on the pitcher are easy to see. It is marked in ounces and ml. The markings are imprinted into the plastic not printed on so they will not come off in the dishwasher. The pitcher is easy to take apart to put in the dishwasher.

This product is simply amazing! we spent so much money buying the ready to feed similac 32 oz. bottles to avoid the powder, because it was giving my baby colic. She was constantly crying when we would give her the powder after hand mixing which seemed impossible to do without clumps left behind no matter how much you would shake it. We were about to break down and fork up the $250.00 dollars to buy a formula mixer and warmer to assure we were getting the correct mixture to not make her sick when I stumbled across this on amazon and thought for $8.95 Id give it a try first. And to my amazement it worked instantly! No clumps less bubbles in the milk and an overall better consistency that looks just like the ready to feed formula. To all parents going through the nightmare of converting there infant from liquid to powder this is your saving grace! As a parent there's nothing harder than soothing a screaming infant and there's no worse feeling than knowing that what you fed them caused it. So I would STRONGLY suggest purchasing this product before you little bundle arrives so that when you leave the hospital after they have been fed nothing but ready to feed bottles supplied by the hospital for there first days of life and then need to be converted to powder you don't have the added stress of possibly causing your baby pain by feeding them an improperly mixed formula. IT IS A LIFE SAVER!

My twins are on formula only. They are about 4 months old and go through almost two pitchers of formula per day. This is an absolute must for those with twins - it saves a ton of time. We put a black line on it with a sharpie marker to show how far to fill it and then use large measuring cups (1/2 cup) to measure formula. If you add 32 ounces of water and add 1.5 cups of formula, it saves you the time of having to constantly measure the water and the formula. We then take a dry erase marker and write the day and time that we made the pitcher on it and stick it in the fridge. Formula is good for 24 hours after you mix it if you keep it in the fridge, so you need to know when you made it (although it rarely lasts that long in our house). The mixing mechanism mixes the powder in really well and it's so easy to use. I would recommend getting two of these, so that you can always have one in use and one being washed (after using this, it will seem like a real pain to make formula bottles the old way, one small scoop at a time). The sharpie marker will stay on for about 15 cycles through the dishwasher and then you have to reapply it. The dry erase marker will come off each time (and easily wipes off with a finger or a paper towel) so that it's easy to change the day and time.

There are a few items that you absolutely have to have in your baby arsenal. If you formula feed this is one of those items. It holds 32 ounces, but I find that you get better results if you keep it to 28 oz. We use Similac pro-sensitive and this mixer does a really nice job of mixing the formula with no clumping. The only pro-tips I have to make this a five star vs. four is to limit batches to 28 oz, add about 8oz of water to the mixer first then add formula and finally the rest of the water. That'll keep your batch clump free and at least appears to help limit the bubbles. Finally, if you have a few extra minutes using room temp or slightly warm water also helps with smooth mixes.

If you formula feed, this is a must have! Firstly, the construction of this is solid and well made. Price is reasonable considering it's more than just a pitcher but also has the spiral mixer. Yes you will have to pump it quite a few times to mix fully, but the trick is the spiral mixing design keeps bubbles out. What little might be left dissipate as it sits also. I use ours with 30 ounces of water at a time, which when adding 15 scoops of Alimentum brings the total ounces produced to the 34 ounce mark. Making this much in one shot means I have enough for eight 4oz. bottles (we pour a little above the 4 ounce line in our Avent bottles because that's where it ends up when we measure 4 ounces of water and then add the two scoops.)Do we over complicate things? Maybe. But does this save time? Absolutely. Can you sterilize it? Absolutely. But what is the ABSOLUTE best part of this product? You make it in one single container. Why is that important? Bevahse if your baby wants just ounce once to "top of a meal" or as a "snack" bevahse we all know sometimes they act starving but don't take 2 ounces sometimes, well, you can pour just one into a bottle from this without worrying about your main batch being contaminated. Baby wants 2 ounces? Pour 2. Wants 4? Pour 4. The beauty is, this container eliminates wasted formula down the drain by enabling you two pour 2 ounces twice if needed rather than pouring 4 ounces at once only to find he was full after 2 and now you just wasted 2 ounces for nothing. When you feed omentuk like me and are paying over $300 a month on formula, this is a SERIOUSLY BIG DEAL.

It works as described so I gave it 5 stars, but we kind of wished we hadn't bought it now. We realized after buying this that it takes quite a lot longer to warm refrigerated formula than it does to warm formula fresh made at room temperature. So much longer in fact that it is actually quicker to make room temp formula fresh at the time, warm it and then still save about a minute. Not to mention the savings in not wasting unused formula, when you guess in the morning and make a picture sometime you have left over that can't be used after a certain time frame. Would recommend saving your money and just making it at the time, unless you have other stuff to do while the formula is warming by itself..... then I guess this may be a good option for you.

I actually got this pitcher to used for pumped breast milk after reading reviews and I am so glad I did. I work night shift and I wanted something easy for my husband to be able to pour a small amount and then add and ounce at a time to baby's bottle so that it wouldn't go to waste if he didnt drink it. We all know pumped milk is liquid gold. I pump my milk and then when I get home put it in this container for him to use. We really like it because when breast milk sits in the fridge, the fat separates to the top. Because this has a stirrer, it helps gently mix the fat back in before it gets poured into the bottle. When I get home from work I freeze what was not used and then repeat. It is easy to put together. It does have a few parts to clean but not bad. And the price is on point. I totally recommend this to all formula or breastfeeding moms.
