Good so far
Our month old son has colic and acid reflux. We bought these in hopes of reducing/getting rid of both. We haven’t had them for very long, but I wanted to comment on the pieces. I kept seeing reviews that said not to get them because of the number of pieces you have to put together and clean. There are 6 pieces per bottle if you include the cap and the bottle itself. Of course, you can’t put them together or wash them as quickly as others, but it doesn’t really bother me. I make 3-4 bottles before I go to bed each night so I don’t have to put them together when I’m half awake and my baby is crying for a bottle. I keep my sink full of soapy water and put them in it after our night feedings. They’re easy to clean in the morning. I wouldn’t let the amount of pieces keep you from buying Dr. Browns. Our son’s spit up does seem to be a little better, but he’s also been put on medication for it recently. It could be the meds, bottles, or both that are helping. We will learn more about how these bottles will work with time. He does seem to usually eat a little slower with these, which is great.

Have worked wonderfully
Cheaper that you are going to find them in most cases. Used correctly these bottles have actually helped to stop our grandchild's reflux and very audible belches (because he was sucking down so much air)! Have read reviews with people that feel they leaked. I have had problems with leaks due to going beyond the max fill line indicated on the bottle. You have to factor in formula. If you put four ounces in the smaller bottles and then add formula, you will go beyond the max fill line! This caused one bottle I made to leak. The only real issue I have experienced is cleaning. I suggest you not leave these bottles just sitting after you have finished using them. Dried formula in the stems can be a pain to get clean, if you do. Also, if you have an shaker cup with an agitator in it to break up formula clumps, use it. Trying to mix the formula in these bottles is not ideal. They have lots of little crevices for the powder to hide in and not mix completely. If you feel that your child is sucking down to much air and it is causing him to regurgitate. If your child has been diagnosed with reflux (like ours), Try these, I think you will happy with the purchase.

Not that hard to clean
I’ve now ordered 3 of these sets since my son was born in February. They are wonderful. My son loves them. Yes you have 2 extra pieces to clean but it’s really not hard and the little effort is completely worth it to have your baby be in less pain because of less gas. We did not have any issues with these bottles causing any nipple confusion while I was breastfeeding. Every baby is different but our baby loves these bottles and so do we! Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible. If my review has helped you in any way, please click the "helpful" button below so that I know! If you have any questions feel free to ask! Thank you!

Great for reflux if using the proper size nipples
We haven't taken care of a child with reflux that has done quite a bit of spitting up a. These bottles have worked very well. We initially had concern because they appeared not to be working with a newborn after we switched to Similac for spit up brand formula. We read other reviews on this and other sites and saw that the Similac for spit up is a thicker formula. Unfortunately this is the formula our foster daughter needs despite the fact that formulas primary ingredient is corn syrup. Once we learned to try the stage 2 nipples with this bottle it worked great for her as a newborn. At the age of 2 months she is still drinking without any difficulties out of these bottles with the stage 2 nipples. I would highly recommend and at this point we have purchased multiple sets and have Dr. Brown's bottles all over our house.

Excellent Feeding System - Does exactly what they claim!
I previously received a Dr. Brown's bottle in a free baby gift from Target. I had not planned on using it for our newborn son as we had been a Playtex Baby drop-ins family in the past. He had reflux and became uncomfortable after eating, having gotten a lot of air from the feeding. I had run out of clean nipples/rings and baby needed to eat, so I used the Dr. Brown's bottle and glad I did! It was a huge improvement after just one feeding! The feeding itself was longer and more controlled, less milk was lost, and my son wasn't taking big gulps as he had with the other brand. Once the feeding was over, he was more content and full! I ordered this set from Amazon as it was the BEST price and my son has been doing extremely well. The bottles do exactly what they say and I will continue to purchase from the Dr. Brown's line.

Dr browns bottles, nipples and accessories are the best.
I love these bottles!!! The bottles have five parts: bottle, blue tube thing, cap for the tube, nipple, nipple ring, and top. I was hesitant to buy these because I didn't want a bunch of little parts to clean but these bottles are awesome at reducing the air bubble and really worth it if your baby has reflux or excessive gas. They come with small pipes cleaners to clean in hard to reach areas. All the components can be wash in the dish washer. They don't leak if you pay attention to put completely the top in the tube and close well it. The set is a perfect gift for a new mom and a smart way to save money and have enough bottle for the whole day, so you can't lose time to wash them but put all in the washer

The only set of bottles you need!!
Mom of two whose tried many bottles~ This is the only bottle set my kids have needed. I have two kids under 2. Both have used Dr. Brown bottles with no problems. Many folks recommend buying several types of bottles for your newborn and testing each of them out. I say if they fail Dr. Brown, then try the other types. Reflux: My first child had a huge issue with reflux/burping/throwing up. She’s two now and it is still not fully resolved. She has used Dr. Brown bottles and they seem to be the best out of the several that we tried. With my second child, reflux was never an issue. This bottle was simply her preference. She seemed to drink more out of the Dr. Brown bottles compared to the generics. For most of the generics, the flow was too fast. With Dr. Brown the flow was good, she used the original level 1 nipple until 3-4 months, then transitioned to 2 around 5 months and is now at level 3 at 7 months. There was limited air going into her. I would always burp her after every feed. Sometimes she’ll burp, other times she won’t. The burping is a lot less when I use the Dr. Brown bottles compared to the generic bottles you get at Walmart/Kroger. Sizes: I love that the set comes with several size options. We used the 4 oz bottles for a very long time. With my first child, I only transitioned to the 8 oz bottles at 8 or 9 months. With my second we transitioned to the 8 oz bottles at around 6 months. My kids are smaller compared to other children. Cleaning: Dr. Brown bottles are never easy to clean. They come with a small brush which has come handy for several things. I put them in the dish washer almost every other day and have had no issues. The plastic is still in good condition. I attached a video of the different parts. Leaking: We used this bottle for >6 months and have had very minimal issues with leaks. Of course it will leak with vigorous shaking or if something is not properly connected. However, 99% of the time everything is simple and there is no leaking Markings: easy to see and clear!! Pumping: connects easily to the pump!! This is a great way to save time Overall: I highly recommend this set!

Worth every peny
I was skeptical of these bottles. Never used them with my first 3 kids because I didn't find the price to be worth it and the Drop In bottles worked fine. But my 4th son suffers from colic, gas, and milk allergies, and no bottle offered any relief. He would sleep for barley an hour because of this. So we took the plunge. They are amazing! On the very first use, he slept for 3 hours! He's now happier. He is so much more comfortable, he doesn't need to be held all the time because of it. Because of his colic and gas, if we put him down, he'd scream. Now, he's happy to sit and watch us do things! Even when he needs to burp, the burps come easier. He barely spits up! They are truly worth the price tag.

GAME CHANGER for our GERD preemie
We're first-time parents who originally purchased another brand's 4oz glass bottle set. Our daughter took to them right away, but was often gassy, spit-up, etc. As a physician (who only sees adults), I figured that this was "normal" reflux for our IUGR preemie as she was overall a happy baby. By week 2, however, her gas and reflux were so bad she couldn't be put down without constantly regurgitating and writhing around in pain... Soon, she was screaming 21 hours/day, feeds became impossible (it would take 1 hr just to get her to take 1 oz), bowel movements involved hours of torture, and she started losing weight. We tried every behavioral change imaginable, different bottles, and over-the-counter remedies... NOTHING worked aside from us holding her upright 24/7. At that point, our doc prescribed her ranitidine. I hated the idea of giving her a prescription at 3 weeks of age, so as a last resort, I bought these bottles... and oh my goodness, she became a different child within minutes!! In her first feed, she polished off 5.5 ounces and instantly fell asleep in her crib (which we have on an incline). Before then, the most she ever had was 2 oz and the second I'd put her down in the crib, she's start hiccuping, refluxing, screaming, etc. Since then, she is feeding like a champ, sleeping well, and is one low-key happy baby despite having the occasional bought of reflux. We never ended up giving her the prescription med, as these bottles and a few behavioral modifications have really helped. Finally, we have our sanity back and are sleeping again! CONS: They are difficult to clean if you don't do so right away as there are many small parts. I also really dislike having to put the extra insert to prevent leaking when you take the bottle somewhere. You also can't mix the formula in the bottle, but that's a simple fix as we mix a batch in another container and then fill these bottles up. Finally, they are not made of glass (my personal preference). However, given that our lives were a NIGHTMARE before these bottles, I'd gladly take these inconveniences any day. In short, if you are in the same boat as we were, might as well give them a try before throwing prescription meds at your kiddo.

baby likes it!
We have a 2 month old baby girl and exclusively breastfeed. My wife pumps once or twice a day when I give her a break and that's when we use a bottle. We first tried Philips Avent premie flow wide but the baby was fussing too much on it. We then tried Dr. Brown and she really liked it better. We started her at 3 weeks and used the premie nipple. Currently using nipple 1. We realised Avent's flow was way too slow for her so level 1 is a happy place right now. We like Dr. Brown although as it says on the bottle, do not fill up over the line because it does leak - a lot!
