Used to wear this same mascara when I was in high school (1970's) - loved the dark blue color that looked black except when you were in the sun. Well, I ran across it here on Amazon and had to get it, and I STILL LOVE IT!!! Just adds a little drama to your eyes and it's a good color of blue. Goes on easily without clumps and really extends the length of your lashes. Hope Amazon keeps it, it's hard to find (if at all) in the local drug stores.

I absolutely love this brow gel! In my opinion, a brow gel is a brow gel. There really isn't much that differs, if anything, between the drugstore level and high end level when it comes to brow gel. I've used this one for years and it has never disappointed me. It keeps my brows in place and is easily removable at the end of the day. Wouldn't dream of using anything else!

I use this to set my eyebrows - my eyebrow hairs grow in at funny angles, so once I trim them to the proper length I end up with some patchy areas and some where the hair still just refuses to stay in the right shape. I fill in the patchy areas with a bit of brow color using my Ardell duo brow brush (which I now love!) and then set it all with a smidgen of this clear mascara. It lasts all day and keeps my brows looking natural rather than drawn on. Very happy with my purchase!

Best waterproof mascara there is!

This is the ONLY waterproof mascara I've tried that can stay put even at the beach! I LOVE this mascara. I wear it every day. It will stay put during swimming, sports, even a good cry! Waterproof mascara remover will take it off easily but not all brands are alike; I have tried several that leave some mascara behind but have found one mineral oil-based remover that takes it off really easily at night. If you are looking for a mascara that isn't going to run (not even a little bit) this is the one!

Pretty good, definitely waterproof

Got this to replace my old mascara that was constantly smudging and getting everywhere. This one is nice, brush is good and doesn't make my eyelashes clumpy or smudge. Also absolutely waterproof, I had to deal with an emotional family situation the other day and I didn't get the mascara tear streaks which I was grateful for considering the situation. Would buy again.

Perfect for a natural but enhanced look

I've been using clear mascara for decades, and I'm so glad it's still made and now sold as a Subscribe and Save Item on Amazon for a good value. I don't like to wear true (tinted) mascara. I don't find it comfortable or natural-looking on me, and I don't know how to apply it without clumping. I just want something that highlights my lashes without too much buildup. This mascara is perfect for that. I can definitely see a difference (I will do one eye first and then compare) in that they make my lashes darker and more defined, and so my eye looks more "dressed up". They are so easy to apply and to remove, and are very gentle. They won't give you the effect of dark mascara, of course. I should also add that my lashes are of average fullness and length, and very dark brown. Results might be different for people with different kinds of lashes. I also used these to keep my eyebrows in place!

Two thumbs way up for this excellent product!

This is it, if you have naturally thick, dense & downward lashes. I curl my lashes & apply 2 layers of this mascara, and that is all. I can go out during damp weather, even raining, even to the beach, and everything stays exactly the way I set it earlier. I use it just once a day, with no retouching whatsoever. I've been using it for more than 10 years & it's been consistent in quality. It is a real waterproof mascara. A couple of weeks ago I ran out of it & decided to try a different brand. Bought at a local store "Scandal Eyes Retro Glam Waterproof Mascara": what a huge mistake (& a huge, fat, awkward & hard to maneuver brush). As soon as I applied it, my lashes went immediately & helplessly south. Tried it once more in a different day with exactly the same result. That is why I went back to my tried & true old favourite "MAYBELLINE GREAT LASH WATERPROOF MASCARA" which doesn't need any changes or improvements to be my best ever. The small brush works wonders & it is much better than the ridiculously big fat brushes of other mascara tubes. Two thumbs way up for this excellent product!

Timeless classic for a reason

A mascara classic. I've been wearing this one for decades. Seriously, it was the first piece of make-up I ever owned. Bought my first tube when I was 12 years old. I've tried other brands. Fancier ones. Newer ones. And I keep coming back to this one. The waterproofing works as well as any waterproof one I've tried. (I recommend using an eye makeup remover liquid with it. Neutrogena makeup remover cloths do a great job taking it off,too. Water alone won't do it and soap and water still is challenged by it. ) The color looks as good as any brand of the same color I've tried. The brush is your classic old school straight little brush with little bristles on it. No huge brush, no wild curved shape, etc. But it works fine. I didn't seem to get any better results from any of the other fancier brands or newer styles. None of them gave me the huge lashes and invisible lift and curl and separation or whatever they promised. None of them worked so well that I didn't also have to use an eyelash curler for optimum results. So it doesn't bother me at all to use this one and an eyelash curler like women have been since your mama started wearing makeup.

ABC Good Morning America (recommended this)

First off, I started using this product back in the 70s, but ended up over the the years buying all the new and greatest brands, but ultimately came back to this old stand-by, because I happened to be watching ABC's Good Morning America news show one morning, and they had a beauty consultant on which had gone through all the top rated mascara brands including this one. Ultimately, their tests couldn't prove any of the other more expensive brands were any better than this old stand-by. And the reported indicated that it was more feasible to use this brand. So, I will start using this product again, and stop wasting my money on the other brands which I personally couldn't see any improvement over this one.

Excellent!!!! Blue goes with brown eyes. Looking straight on you cannot see that it’s blue. However, from the side, it’s brilliant!!
