Easy to use and reliable

Purchased 4 years ago. Let it sit for a few years after the tank ran out and recently picked up a refill at BBB for $30. With all of the water flavors out there it is less expensive alternative and more convenient than carrying around 12 packs of soda. Unsure why some users seem to be flustered. Very simple concept and a large tank lasts a LONG time.

Use this every day. Went from drinking a lot of soda or ice tea to drinking only carbonated water. Love it! I've had it over a year now, go through about 2 cartridges a month. Recycle cartridges at Staples for half the cost of new.

We like sugar free soda and fizzy water but found the price of canned/bottled soda was getting to be too expensive. So we decided to try this. We love it! At first, it was sort of like making the transition from regular soda to sugar free--tasted different, but OK. Now, I wouldn't go back to canned/bottled sugar free soda. I love having fresh, always fizzy drinks whenever I want them. I really like having different flavors whenever I want. I LOVE not hauling around the heavy containers. I like using tap water as a base. I was having tooth sensitivity--getting older I guess. It got to the point where I stopped drinking carbonated beverages of all types. I would re-introduce them into my diet and my teeth would hurt a bit. So I just stopped. We got this SodaStream at Christmas and my teeth have not hurt once. So it make me wonder, what in the world is in the canned/bottled soda? Yuck! Our favorite flavors are all sugar free: ginger-ale, "gold" cola, orange, and root beer. We highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my sister who likes sparkling water. I am the shopper in our house and really hated buying so much plastic to support her habit. Well.. my sister loves this thing. Water when ever she wants and no extra plastic bottles. It easy and the water is delicious. We got a sample pack of flavors and they are all better than their counterparts. Really good. The essence flavors are a clean spritzy water flavor--lemon, lime or raspberry. Also very good. The system is easy and the water is fizzy even after a week or more in the fridge. Really convenient, really easy to use. I found the refill cartridge at Staples for 29.92. When I bring a cartridge back for refill--should be cheaper with exchange. I bought an extra pack of bottles so we can have different flavors and the water does need to be refrigerated before adding the co2. We keep the plain water chilling ready to go when we want to add spritz. I could not say enough about how many plastic bottles we are not bringing into our house and a product that is truly yummy.

fantastic fresh seltzer

OK- here's the tricky thing- you MUST use the bottle that sodastream makes if you don't want to make a mess on your counter. It's a little tricky to attach the bottle properly to the machine, because you really do have to screw it on tightly. If you accomplish that, you will love it. I do about 4 presses on the button for a perfect fizz.

Fresh carbonation is the best carbonation

This has encouraged me to drink more water. I don't really use this to create soft drinks. I have tried some of additives. I really like the grapefruit, and the sugarless drops that give various citrus tastes. However, I purchased this because I've found that just a spot of carbonation "spices" up the water so I drink more water-- the most healthy drink.

Great addition to the kitchen

Took a little trial and error to figure out the easiest way to get the bottle in place. I enjoy having sparkling water always available and no more lugging bottles home just to throw them away

Best purchase I have made in a while

I was skeptical about this after reading all of the reviews, but I am glad I did. I use this every day. It is simple to operate and makes very fizzy water. I drink carbonated water with lemons, or limes, or orange slices, or strawberries. It is a great way to get enough water in our Texas heat. I also make seltzer for drink mixers. You can control the level of fizziness. The water stays bubbly in the refrigerator for several days. I now longer have to buy six bottles of club soda at the grocery every week. It looks good on the countertop as well. I highly recommend it.

Sodastream is AWESOME!

I absolutely LOVE my Sodastream. I immediately carbonated my first bottle of seltzer and continued refilling it for a week. I drink a LOT of seltzer so I went ahead and order an extra two-pack of 1 liter bottles so that I could always have two bottles of seltzer on hand. I also bought diet cola and diet rootbeer syrup for the occasional flavored soda...I also mix juices in with my seltzer. Delicious! I love that it helps the environment and I don't have to lug heavy bottles or constantly be packing them up to put out. The only thing I regret is that my bottles helped people in the neighborhood who cash them in for deposit but I would rather not be putting all of that plastic out there so...In a nutshell-Sodastream is AWESOME! Delicious soda, easy to use, conveniently small, no electricity required and everything you could possibly need right at your fingertips on Amazon. A Five Star Purchase!

I have had this for years and am totally obsessed. I only drink sparkling water, and this helps me cut costs and waste. I literally could not live without my Sodastream.
