This sketchbook is the perfect size for doodling! I wouldn’t recommend it for markers because they do bleed through the paper, but ink works just fine!

Perfect for regular old journaling, let your mind wander

I tried several Strathmore sketchbooks for journaling and none of them really worked well. The paper was too thick, the spirals were too small, the paper tore, or the pages were too dark yellowish brown. This pad works wonderfully for sketching or for journaling (pen or pencil). Cons: 1. The front cover is basically thick card stock, not hardboard. 2. The back cover is hardboard, but not as hard as the Strathmore sketchbooks. Pros: 1. Paper is the perfect thickness and it's eggshell or off white. 2. The spirals work perfectly to keep the paper in the book without ripping the holes. 3. Lots of pages. There are 100 pages, not 50 pages with 2 sides. Must be good, because my 12 year old took it before I could use it! The paper was nice, not too toothy, not too smooth, and the book looks great.

I do not draw art

I have never used one of these notebooks for art, I take math notes in them because math is more beautiful than modern art. Modern art is full of despair and the soul of society is tainted because of this. Math is cool though I like integrals.

Love this thing! Perfect for an average sketcher. I just started to sketch to hone in my skills and this is everything I hoped it would be.

Great sketch pad

Great sketch pad. The papers themselves are sturdy but the cardboard cover is a bit thin and flimsy. It isn't a problem at all if you're doing your art at home, but my kids bring them everywhere in their backpacks so the covers have gotten really bent up. Overall I would definitely recommend this product, the price is great and I'll absolutely buy them again.
