Great scissors for creative toddler

Great scissors for toddlers. My child can use these scissors for hours. It has a nice grip. Blades are blunt at the end but cuts perfectly. Price is good as well.

Big enough for adults too.

Even though the title says kids scissors, they are big enough for adults to use also. I teach high school and bought these as extra scissors for the Westcott School Scissor Caddy.

Nice trade off between cutting ability and safety -- but take the 5+ recommendation seriously

These are great kids' scissors that really cut paper, threads and other things well. At the same time, they are well designed from a safety point of view -- the blades are not really sharp and they have a blunt tip to minimize the chance of injuries. However, I would say only that it would be difficult for children to cut themselves with these scissors -- not at all impossible. These are real scissors. A kid would almost need to try to cut himself or herself with these, but they could do it. Take the age recommendation seriously. These are five-and-up scissors. The trade off between safety and the ability to cut things well has been managed with skill in this product. I believe they are pretty safe, but still caution is warranted especially with littler kids.

We bought these scissors for my son to start 1st grade with. They are just as described, and we got the color red. I wish there was a way tho you could know what color you are going to get when you are buying, I don't think my son would have been tickled pink if i sent him to start school with purple scissors! ;)
