A real greenhouse for only ~100 bucks! I love homegrown tomatoes, but here in coastal CA the average summer daytime temperature is about 70F. My plants usually do well, but the fruits they produce tend to be small and dry, and I have often thought of using a small greenhouse to raise the ambient temp and cut the chilly winds that blow across our peninsula, and the low price and simplicity of the Quictent has made it easy to try this year. It came packed with the barest of instructions (just a diagram and parts list really), but a search on YouTube brought me to a video of a much larger model being assembled by three or four kids under the age of 10, so how difficult can it be? The frame snapped together easily, but one word of advice - don't stake down the legs until you have the cover over the frame. If you angle the legs toward each other a bit, the cover will slide over much more easily and the doors will zip closed without trouble. Once the cover is fully on and the velcro ties that attach it to the frame secured, then you can stake the frame to the ground to keep everything in place for the season (I hammered in two-foot pieces of rebar inside at each of the legs then used nylon zip ties to bind them together). The tomato plants inside the Quictent greenhouse are growing quickly and I've got my fingers crossed for a bountiful harvest later this summer.

This was a great little greenhouse for the money. We have used it for a year now and it held up pretty well. One side of the entry door zipper went bad fairly quickly, and wouldn't zip shut all the way but we just stopped using that side and it wasn't a big deal. I had this little greenhouse in a slightly protected area with a few cedars surrounding it...this guy held up when everything else in the yard was blowing away. We had some hellacious storms last winter but no problems with this unit. One small disappointment, i recently noticed a tear in the fabric on the roof. ( I am not complaining, nothing really holds up in this Texas heat, sun or wind) I patched with clear Gorilla tape to get a few more miles out of it, if I end up replacing this unit next year I will buy another again.

It seemed a bit flimsy when we unpacked it but it has withstood some pretty tough weather so far. I am pleased with how this has performed. The one thing I did not like was that the weather flaps only have small pieces of Velcro as closures. I was really needing it to be less drafty. Tried to tape it but the tape did not hold. So far that has not presented a real problem, just disappointed about that aspect. I would recommend this to a friend with the previous warning about the flaps.

Everything was there in the shipping box and this was very easy to assemble. Now pay attention! With this item's exposure area to wind, you MUST properly stake it, and I'm not talking about cheap tent pegs! I used very high quality anchors of 3 types. 1) Each corner with "screw-in" type anchor. 2) 3 on each side of large (12") x-shaped tent peg with upper hole for lashing to frame. 3) Standard landscaping stakes to hold down the overlapped fabric on the ground. DO NOT SLACK on this- high winds and gusts create hundreds of pounds force against the upwind side! ALSO- these frame pieces do not lock together. True, the structure "holds things together" but I wrapped each joint with one wrap of white duct tape to ensure it doesn't rattle apart in the wind. This is not rocket science! Just do it! Also, spray the zippers thoroughly with silicone spray. Yesterday we had all-day winds averaging between 20 & 30 MPH. (Yes, I DO have a nice anemometer with peak hold.) Also, there were several gusts up to 45 MPH and the temperature dropped into the 40s. NO PROBLEMS! I was worried about a blowing stick puncture but got lucky- the wind did not hurt this greenhouse at all, and the zippered end was upwind! It's all in how you steak it!!! I added a star!

Basically Im happy with the Greenhouse. WHAT I'm NOT happy with are the crappy Instructions. For one older folks can't see micro print. hat is so tiny and horribly vage also. The box was damaged also, may not be there fault but none the less not happy with paying that much and box not being secure. Step 1 2 and 3 are an all time joke. I'm sure once it is up I will be happy with the product. Now that it is UP Im happy with the greenhouse. I would buy another. AN update 3/11/2019 We just had some winds at 35mph, greenhouse did fine. Ido have to say it was because of the extra green fence posts had 3 - 3' post at each corner and wore tired with HD ties in 4 places and on the mid section. Winds started as I was still securing the middle ones on the right side even with all fur corners in place it lifted it off the ground...as I put in the last one. it did not move. Now on the outside the flap at the ground I had stacks of landscape bricks three high and they still came out from under that. I had bags of mulch that I put against it and it did fine after that. THESE HOUSES DO NOT LIKE WIND SO IF YOU LIVE IN THE North...secure it the very best you can. Happy planting.

Met expectations. This is the second portable we have purchased. Needed protection for plants we brought from Hawaii and did not want a permanent structure. This fit the bill. Cover is sturdy and protects well. Added a small portable heater with a thermostat and a reporting thermometer which we can monitor in-house. I like the portability aspect because of my changing landscape ideas...annually, it seems.

The Greenhouse arrived earlier than expected. The packaging was undamaged and all parts were there. Took me about 10 minutes to erect the frame and another 30 to pull the cover over and fasten all ties. The frame is an easy one-man job but the cover takes at least 2 and preferably 3 people, to do it properly. I had read all the reviews before my purchase and was aware that the house had no anchors so I was prepared. I used about 30 blocks of broken cement driveway to place on the apron all the way around. We had a strong cold front move thru late this afternoon with 25 to 30 mph winds and nothing moved so I am well satisfied with my purchase. The only drawback is that the side flaps do not seal so I will have to tape them down for the winter but that is a small chore for such a fine, large greenhouse for the price. In central Mississippi we can expect lows in the mid teens at least two or three times this winter so I will heat it using a 1500w oil radiator that worked very well last year.

For the price this product is well worth it. If I need to, I can always strengthen the frame for water or snow load. They do say that it is not meant to be used during heavy rainfall or snow events. Other than that the skin looks durable, and everything set up easily. I will use a heater set on low to keep it above freezing as it is supposed to get down to 27F by next week. ps...This product is working out very well. Although, it is necessary to add extra support for durability. I used a heavy twine to lash the frame together. The first time it rained, I went into it to see how it was holding up. It was passing drops of water through the breathable skin. Not good as I have an electric heater on low that sits inside. So I bought a 4mm thick transparent plastic sheet 10' by 15'. I used that to cover the domed roof and part way down the sides, plus the entire length draped over the ends. It functions excellent. One night temps dropped down to around 10F and my lime tree held perfect which is the reason I purchased this item. The lime tree is now too big to bring inside for the winter. I keep a large 30 gallon ice chest filled with water inside plus a few 5 gallon containers of water. This gives the greenhouse added heat protection through a cold night. So far the water has not froze over so the heater on low and the water containers do a great job. Finally, I added poles to support the roof as it will eventually get snowed on in a few days.

SO happy I bought this greenhouse! I was nervous about assembling it but it was so simple and easy. Putting on the green sheet was also very easy. Our only concern is it staying down during a summer thunder storm. As instructed by the seller, we got "heavy duty stakes" aka round weight plates that normally go on barbells for weight lifting. The poles that stick into the ground actually fit perfectly to the weights, and we added additional weights to hold down the green sheet and to prevent rabbits and other critters. The greenhouse is the perfect size for our garden. We fit 6 tomato plants and 4 green pepper plants with plenty of room to walk around. Can't wait to see how our garden does this year without having to worry about the deer digging in. Would definitely purchase again!

So assembly was simple, and it’s exactly as we expected. We are a bit disappointed that a weld broke, but I sent an email about that and got an immediate response that they would replace that T bracket that failed, so I’m happy. It arrived in great shape, much better than the one from Lowes which I had to return because of damage (it was also way more expensive). We already built shelves and have this one almost all set up. Love it I will update once I get those replacement parts. Update: they sent me two replacement “r” pieces quickly. The greenhouse is up fixed and we are really happy with it!!
