Entertaining for 4 months on

I was interested in buying this after my infant son kept trying to lean forward to grab the cord for my phone charger, and I saw this and immediately made the connection of my wrapped charger to the connections between the wooden pieces on this toy. It sure is easy to grab for little hands and it is light weight, so it is easy to move around. My son likes to bang it up and down and can do so easily, where it will making small noises for the pieces moving around and also whatever noises that he decides to hit it against. My son was delayed with fine motor skills, so he had trouble holding bigger items, and the strings along this are so easy to hold, that it is a perfect toy for very young babies when they are just starting to hold onto objects and reach for them, the large size makes it an easy target to grab at. It is very durable and made of quality materials. This is an item I will buy for other parents with young infants.

My son has always loved this toy (he’s 9 months now and still loves it) it’s SO easy for him to hold/shake/squish. His cousin also loves it and they play together all the time. As he gets older I think he’ll probably use it more like a ball. Anyway, I 100% recommend this as a gift or for your own child. Would be perfect for a baby shower gift!

Love already! Love the quality, look, design, quiet sound it makes

I LOVE this toy! Baby hasn’t even arrived yet and this is one of my favorite purchases. I love the natural wood look! And honestly it has had me hooked. It makes noise but it’s so quiet- it’s calming almost like a rain stick or something. Bc you just want to keep turning it and making that noise. (Normally my husband and I steer clear of the toys that make noise- but this one is way different. Everyone needs one!) Since purchasing this I wish Manhattan toys had other toys in the same natural wood that I could purchase. Bc I would get them all if so!

Super cute!

I love this, but more importantly Baby loves it! She likes to chew it and rattle it around! Bonus it looks like art sitting on my coffee table. One con is she bonks herself pretty good with it so I’ll be putting it up until she gains a little bit better motor function.

Absolutely perfect toy

I love this toy so much. My daughter was so excited when she opened it at Christmas and played with it immediately. She likes that it rattles, but it's not an annoying sound to me. I love that it is natural wood so she can chew on it and I don't have to worry about paint. I hate ugly colorful plastic toys. This is something I can keep in the living room and it is not an eyesore. Would recommend gifting this to anyone with young kids. My daughter was 5 months when we gave it to her and still plays with it at 10 months.

I was afraid this might turn out to be one of those toys that is appealing to adults but babies won't play with. No worries, our little dude loves it. It's light weight and easy for his little hands to grasp and there's lots of smooth balls on the ends to stick in his mouth. The moving balls keep it interesting. He has been playing with it for a month now and still seems to enjoy it on a daily basis. I like that fact that it is sturdy, well made and natural wood.

I bought the natural color Skwish as a gift, because it is my 4-month-old’s favorite toy (we have the one with beautiful colors). The wood tones are beautiful! These are well made, and fun even for adults! I have a few Manhattan Toys and they are all great quality. Comes with the tag on in excellent condition (as it should, but you never know these days...) Just one warning is baby’s hand/arm can get stuck inside and they might not have the dexterity to get their hand out. My baby just fussed a little and I took it off her. It’s only happened once and she played with it hours each week. As with anything...supervise your baby!

3 month old and 3 year old love it

Really good toy. Bought for my 3 month old. It’s one of the few things he can actually grab and hold. When you shake it the beads slide up and down and make a rattle sound. The toy is large enough that my smaller baby can easily hold it but my 3 year old has also picked it up a few times and likes flattening it. You can squish it and make it go flat. So over all I really like this toy and it’s getting lots of use in our house

Beautifully made toy

I will buy quality wooden toys over plastic everytime. This toy is a gift for my grandson and cant wait until he opens it. High quality materials are used and the wood in smooth and just gorgeous. What I received is nicer than Pictured! Super beautiful , fun, natural, 2-tone. We love this toy! Made in Thailand. Timeless toy can be used for many years to come and also as a decor piece later down the road when kids are older. A small price to pay for a great investment.
