I ALMOST didn’t purchase this due to the reviews of it melting & collapsibility. But I did anyway and I LOVE it! It says in the directions not to boil on high and other remedial instructions. As I wouldn’t let a toddler boil water due to a mishap, I would never boil water in ANYTHING unattended for a ridiculous amount of time. Worth every penny, cute design, & perfect if you’re making tea for two. I suppose if you need to be reminded you’re boiling something on a stove at scalding temperatures, set yourself an alarm.

Vibrant
Purchased this item because I plan on doing my kitchen in a lemon theme and thought this would fit perfectly. I was correct! The color of this matches my other decor items perfectly. Came in perfect condition (no chips, scratches or rust) and feels sturdy. Body is metal and the handle is a thick plastic. I will admit I only plan on using this for decoration so I cannot attest to how it actually works, this item was purchased strictly to sit around looking pretty. Can’t wait to fully decorate to get the full view!

Great purchase
Super cute, just like the picture. Boils water pretty fast. I use it on low heat to avoid any scorching of the bottom, as other reviewers advised. Used probably a dozen times and still looks brand new.

Bright, Nice and RED
Excellent packing, timely arrival! It's what I was looking for after leaving my previous (red) kettle on the stove to boil dry (yes, there are people who can't even boil water.) It has a whistle, in which I usually kept a spoon so it would not whistle when I used it simply to put moisture into the air in winter. So I looked for a non-whistler, and this is exactly what I needed. Also, my previous kettle did not have a handle that's hinged, and it was difficult to remove the lid with hot water underneath. I keep thinking that these evaluations should really appear after a month or two of use of things because one could then report on longer-term experience, which I have not had since I just put water into it the first time yesterday. But I expect to love it and get the expected use out of it.

Had concerns
I had read other reviews and they were not all good...However I have used alot of enamelware through the years so I tried this Teakettle...I really like it...But you have to remember enamelware is not indistructable...It does need care and needs to be handled with some care and respect to its value...The size of this is perfect for what I needed it for...I do find if I fill it too full the liquid does flow from around the lid...It is because of the design of the pour spout...So be careful will boiling water...The lid has a good tight fit with its pressure "bump" and it stays on and fits snug..The handle stays up and stays cooler to the touch...This was a good value for the money...I did have a shipping problem with it because it should have been in a bigger box with more bubble wrap or peanuts..My fist one came with a dent in it...However my replacement was done quickly and with out any difficulty at all..

Handy Basic Teapot!
I was just looking for a super basic teapot to boil water in for hot chocolate and instant oatmeal because our oven hood microwave broke. This one is perfect for that, easy to clean, and the handle stays cool as long as you tilt it to the side while heating up so the steam doesn't make it too hot to handle as it exits the spout when it begins to boil rapidly.

Such a cute teapot!
I have to admit that I bought this teakettle more for fashion than function, because really, how hard is it to boil water? After daily use for a month, I haven't had any problems. Several of the reviewers commented on the handle getting hot. I leave the handle up when boiling and keep the temperature around medium and have no experienced any issues. It's a non whistling teapot, but even from the other room, I can hear the water start to boil. I also haven't had any issues with spillage while pouring. I really a fan of this teakettle.

Pretty, solid, and functional.
I love this teakettle. It looks very pretty and does its job. I saw some reviews about the lid rusting, but mine hasn't developed rust on the lid even though I've been using it almost daily for a couple months now. I thought the plastic handle might be a problem with the intense heat, but it doesn't seem to be affected at all. I like that there is friction in the bending of the handle, because I turn the handle to the side and hold onto it to fill it with water so I don't have to hold the bottom of the kettle.

Exposed edges and rust
I fell in love with this tea kettle as soon as I saw it. I think it's not been 2 months since I got it and I can't take the lid off, if i do I cut my fingers with the edges of the handle, that are exposed. It's already showing signs of rust around the neck. When I want to add water I do it through the spout. It's so beautiful, but these issues haven't been addressed properly by designer/manufacturer.

I don’t like tea kettles that whistle so this is perfect
I don’t like tea kettles that whistle so this is perfect. If you listen though it’s easy to tell when the water is boiling. It hasn’t melted or scratched like the other reviews say. But I also don’t keep it on the stove for prolonged time and I have an electric top stove as welll. The only thing I wish was different was the top of the kettle. It’s very hard to get on and off, so I usually just leave it ajar.
