My Husband loves this boot!!
My husband has been using the CAT 2nd Shift boot for ages! Probably close to 20 years. Every time we pick up a new style boot for one reason or another he always goes back to this one. He usually always wears brown but he needed black dress shoes for work. Can't trust that most shoes will be comfortable so we we just bought black 2nd Shift boots! They looked great! This is his go to and they couldn't be any better!

Great boot!
EXCELLENT quality boot! My son is very hard on his work boots and shoes and once he tried the Caterpillar brand he has been sold on them. They are a fraction of the cost of some other name-brand boots, and they hold up just as well. They fit as expected (he wears a size 13) and are comfortable whether he is in the warehouse or in and out of the delivery trucks. He also likes the mid-rise height as it offers extra support for his bad ankle. Would suggest adding some extra waterproofing treatment if you are around a lot of water as he is here in the Pacific Northwest. Other than that, these are perfect (and affordable)!!

Great boots at a great price
I dont leave a lot of reviews but these boots are so great, I fet compelled to leave one. I have had them for almost 6 months now. I wear them everyday or at least 5-6 days a week. I work in construction and I put these boots through hell everyday. They step on nails, (never had a puncture), go through water puddles (never penetrates to my feet), kick heavy trash and debris and they hold up very solid. They are also comfortable. They broke in easy and they feel good on my feet. These are Great work boots at a great price. I highly reccomend them.

Excellant Service & Quality
I ordered wide width and the first order I got was in the correct box but were actually medium width. I figured it would be a week or so before I got the correct size BUT two days later I received my new boots, wide width! These are probably the most comfortable work boots I have worn right out of the box. No 'break in' period was needed and they look great. Time will tell on how they hold up but they appear to be well made and will stand up to the construction sites I work on. They are also easy to put on because of the lace hooks at the top of the boot. . I would highly recommend.

Hands-down, the BEST work boots ever!
I've worn these boots ever since I first found them probably 10 years ago. I used to do landscaping full time, so they would only last 8 months to a year or so, but that's pretty much to be expected with heavy use. One thing I have always LOVED about these is that they fit GREAT, and feel GREAT straight out of the box - EVERY TIME! Every other pair I've worn had a "break-in" period, where they would hurt for like the first few weeks. Not so with these. They're absolutely the best boots I've ever worn. My last pair lasted around 5 years, since I dropped down to only 2-3 days of outside work per week, so they are EXTREMELY durable. I honestly probably didn't "need" to replace them, but they were looking a little ragged and I just felt like a new pair. These didn't disappoint. Just as comfy and rugged as ever, and the same size I had always worn still worked great. Thank you Caterpillar for an AMAZING PAIR OF WORK BOOTS! I'll never look elsewhere, as long as these are still made. These are my boots for life.

After over a Decade of use and abuse, it's time for Round 2
After 10+ years, two continents, countless miles trekking on everything from 120+ degree desert, through rivers, over boulders the size of homes, digging my truck out of the snow and mud, stomping heads in the mosh pit, and working 10-12 hour shifts as a bartender/barback in Vegas casinos and strip clubs (OMG, the fluids that these have seen!). More than a few night running from jealous husbands, angry hookers, pissed off lovers, and some people that maybe couldn't take a joke. I'm finally retiring my old pair, only because, much like a few of my ex's, the soles are gone. I bought another pair, as I don't do nearly as much of that stuff as I use to (yaa Adulthood) so I am willing to bet the next pair I buy will be 20 years from now. See ya then.

Notice for Consideration
The exact size I purchased is the same exact size of my foot, fits great. I don't know why many are claiming to size down half a size, but I will tell you this, you can try on a pair of these at any $ears store to confirm it. What I did notice is that my exact fitting has a comfortable amount of wiggle room in it, about as much as if you needed to wear a pair of heavy socks for cold working conditions, which depending on where you work should be considered, but again not oversized. If you work in hot climates, the tiny bit of wiggle room can be considered breathing room, but it's definitely not even a half inch worth that make some people want to size down to a tight snug. Don't forget feet can swell too, so if you buy half size down, you're feet may become painfully constricted. And if you are wondering if the extra room makes the boots feel sloppy or like they are going to fall off your feet, the answer is no, again, it's not a half inch worth of room, at best it's maybe an 1/8 to a 1/4 or enough for a heavier pair of socks. My boots took about a full work week of general movement to break in. They seem durable and are very comfortable for the price range, I have no complaints. I did notice some of the stitching around some areas seemed shoddy, but it's holding up and not unraveling, it may just be a cosmetic blunder. I would by these again.

Maybe Sized For Thick Socks
Very comfortable. I wear 9.5 D, and these were a little too big so I ended up with the 9.0 D. Maybe they're a little large to account for thick socks? That occurred to me after I wearing my thick socks. The extra space would be great in a "cooler" LOL climate but here in State 48 I rarely wear the Power Socks. Had to Quick Grip the seam allowance where the tongue is attached to keep the allowance flat against the top of my foot. No big deal and worth the effort.

Good price with average comfort
It has been a year now and here is the good and bad: Good: I am a landscape installer and wear these everyday. I use my boots as a tool so they take a beating. The good: -price -the exterior lasted a full year of abuse. The bad: - the interior comfort was fine but not great. The lining and cushioning started to break down in the first few months. I ended up getting several new calluses. In the end I would buy them again because they were good enough and a good price. -

Great boots for the money
Great boots for the money. I use wolverines at work and love them. I decided to try and save a few bucks for home use. First 2 weeks were horrible, I started to regret my decision. But after they were broken in they are so comfortable I wear them more than my regular shoes. I'm just courious how long they will last I've had them 2 months and do quite a bit of work around the house. I've beat them up pretty good. I even took them to the snow and they held up good for a few hours they did start letting some water in after the 3 hour mark but they are not water proof so I'm happy they kept my feet dry for as long as they did. Overal good buy and depending on how long they last I will be buying more. Also they seem to run true to size i wear 13s and that's what I ordered and they fit great I did buy the soft toe ones
