This is the best kinesiology tape that I have found. I have been able to leave it on for 4 days as long as it doesn't get caught on my clothes. I found that putting a little 3 inch strip of the tape over the end that got caught on my clothes solves the problem and lets the full strip stay on for 3 or 4 days with showering. I prefer the pro, but the original works well too. I did notice that the pro tape provides a little more support and sticks longer than the original tape. I definitely notice a lower level of pain and muscle spasms when I use the tape. My knee has not given out with this tape on and the frequency and intensity of migraines have decreased when I have this tape applied. It is easy to apply. The KT Tape website has instructions and videos to show you different applications for the tape. I also searched for instructions and found many more from different sources. This tape is my go to when I am in pain and increased my ability to function on a daily basis. I have used it for chronic pain and spasms as well as to help muscle injuries heal. It also comes in a nice plastic case. I have sensitive skin and this tape does not irritate my skin like other brands did.

I had the CMC joint anthroplasty reconstruction on my right thumb. Six weeks after the surgery, I was allowed to remove the post-surgical brace and begin using my right hand “with light force”. Well, that is difficult! Once the brace came off and I started using my hand, old, unconscious habits came back. I would reach for a mug of coffee, or I’d twist my hand to scratch an itch, or I’d pull a shoe off my foot without thinking about it ... until I got a jolt of pain in my hand. My physiotherapist put one strip of this tape across the back of my hand and my CMC joint to “reduce the mobility a little”. That helped a lot, but my arthritic hand still hurt in other places like the outside if my wrist, that had been stressed for months before the surgery. So I ordered a roll of this tape and used it to basically create a flexible brace that would lightly reinforce my hand where it tends to hurt without immobilizing it anywhere. The result was amazing! I can use my hand for everyday tasks without worrying that I’ll accidentally reinjure it if I bend or twist too far or use a bit too much force. And I can continue to exercise and strengthen it with the tape-brace in place.

I’m honestly surprised at how well this stays on. I get shin splints when I run more than 2 miles or so, if I forget my compression sleeves, and yesterday I ran a 5 miler with no support. By the end of the night I was in significant pain so I finally decided to open the KT Tape I’d bought a few weeks ago. Usually a bad case of shin splints takes me a few days to a week to get over, but by the next morning I felt 100%! I could’ve easily run again today but work didn’t permit. It also stayed on during the disgustingly hot, humid (93* and 80% humidity) day we had today in Georgia, despite me wearing skinny jeans. I was certain it would peel off when I took off my jeans but it didn’t budge. So then I took the hottest bath on record, and it STILL stayed put. So I am totally sold on KT Tape brand Keniesiology Tape. I won’t be without it again. It’s certainly cooler to run in than thick compression socks or sleeves in the summer as well. My only wish is that it came in larger rolls than 20 pieces, because just to tape shin splints takes 4 whole pieces, which means there’s is only 5 applications in a box. It was very easy to apply, I just went to their website and they showed me exactly what to do. I used rubbing alcohol to wipe down my legs first before I applied, just to remove any lotion etc... and help it stick better.

I can't even begin to tell you how much KT Tape has changed my life. After years of having a bad knee I had a full reconstruction. After a few weeks the swelling was still unbelievable and my physical therapist used KT Tape in, what I called Spider-Man pattern. In less than 2 hours the pain and swelling were gone! A year after surgery I was still having a lot of pain and some slipping of the kneecap. I ride horses and using a clunky brace is really hard in tall boots. I picked this up and did the full support brace I watched a YouTube video on. Seriously...pain frickin' free and wow did it offer support. I recently hurt my GOOD knee and this helps tremendously with the meniscus pain. I tape up both knees anytime I'm going to be doing activities and leave the tape on for a few days. It slowly starts to fall off and then I just pull off the rest. My really awesome knees sometimes swell up for no reason and a quick tape gets the swelling out within an hour. I have no idea how or why this works...but it WORKS! The support I get is superior to any brace I have tried...and I've tried them all! It doesn't inhibit me at all and relieves knee pain almost instantly. In the event of a zombie apocalypse this is the first thing I'm putting in my survival bag. Without it I'm zombie food for sure. With it...just try to catch me while I run away...pain free.

Both of my parents are in their mid 80's and have shoulder injuries and issues. My mother could not play the piano, knit, crochet or even put a puzzle together because it hurt her to raise her arm for any length of time. I tried this because I wanted an alternative to more medication. The first time I put it on her, she was able to knit on an afghan for 2 hours straight with no pain. Every 4 to 5 five days I go over and reapply it on her. This is worth it's weight in gold as far as we are concerned.

I've used a few different tapes and this one is the best. I have carpal tunnel and I use this tape when I do any workout (strength training / weight lifting, rowing). The tape is durable and sweat proof. It's very, very important to follow the directions for good taping. It works if you follow the directions. I do have sensitive skin, so the adhesive (which works excellently) can be a tiny bit irritating - it sticks well so when you go to take it off, it does take a bit of effort. If you have an adhesive allergy, I'd be very careful. I've repurchased and will continue to use. It's also helpful that there are different sizes. Highly recommend. Update: follow the directions and activate the tape by gently rubbing into skin. The warming activates the tape to bind to your skin. I washed my hands frequently and even showered with the tape on and it stayed perfectly on.

This stuff is magic...still not clear on exactly how it works - but it works!!! Like most 50+ folks, I have a few new aches & pains every month. I discovered KT TAPE when my Achilles & lower knee started really acting up. There are pretty good directions in the pkg on how to tape most common problem areas of you can YouTube it if you need to. Maybe it's like a pressure point thing or I was also told it draws fluids away from the problem area... don't know- just know it works. Precut strip are great & you can cut them down if needed. Really sweat & waterproof, mine stay on 3-5 days. Lightweight, non-restrictive, you do not even know it'a there. Magic!!!

Bought this for a Spartan Race. I taped up my knees and my elbows and was able to finish the race pain free in my knees and only felt a little pain in my elbows after trying to climb the rope a 2nd time to avoid burpees. The tape stayed on for the whole race even after going through multiple mud pits. The support to my knees was great. Recommendations for use: I removed the tape on my elbows that same night and it appears to have taken the top layer of skin with it. I have some weird stripes on my arm where the adhesive was more than a week later. I waited another 20 hours before removing it from my knees and it came off a lot easier, even though it was over leg hair. The package says it will stay on for 1-2 days. I recommend waiting to remove until closer to the 2 days to avoid removing skin.

I Love this stuff, and great price!, Easy to use, might take a little getting used to apply, but great videos at their website..... I have used both cotton, and the blend one, that is supposed to be water resistant.Living in Florida (humid), I find the cotton is as good or better, It stays on thru a shower, holds up better while sleeping... the other seems to come loose. I apply the blend one everyday, I can do 2 days with this, probably longer, I just want to wash skin even if it is still sticking. I am also older and not as toned in the thigh area, this is MUCH better than trying to find a knee brace that either doesn't roll down because of thigh or cut into back of knee. I get great support for knee, and allows me to rest up and restrengthen.... I have used for plantar fasciitis, ( first experience) then used for couple of knee strains. ( tendonitis) probably biggest mistake people make is to stretch tape too much, do as it suggests, hard to believe a bit of tape will make you feel better1

I have been quite impressed with how these "simple" looking tapes can take pain away so quickly and effectively. I have 4 very bad discs in my back and my doctor did not recommend that I have any surgical intervention, so periodically, without doing anything strenuous (I am partially disabled), my back "goes out" and then I'm out of commission for anywhere from a few days to weeks. After trying so many treatments, meds, OTC creams, etc., I went online to see what others were trying. I came across a testimony which sounded promising, and it was using KT taping techniques, so I didn't have anything to lose. I couldn't get the tape quickly enough as my back had been out and with spasms and muscular pain for over a month (I was having to stand up in the classroom as I couldn't even sit for any length of time. It came with instructions but I chose to watch a video (they offer through their website) and had my husband watch it with me. After about 25 minutes after he applied the tape, I couldn't believe it; I was free of pain, no pain at all. I was skeptical at first, but then after several days of being able to be in any position, I still was free of pain. Amazing! I decided to use it on my feet (I have RSD of my left foot) and a "fasciitis" and neuropathic pain to my other foot. I can't believe how it's helped me even with that. I ordered some for my sister, who also has neuropathy (also, from a bad back). She was quite skeptical herself as she had tried so many things, but couldn't believe she was pain free. I have told other family members about this and they, too, have been amazed as how well this tape works. Thanks for this tape. It works!
