Monarch 1131 vs 1110

So, I have owned a Monarch 1110 for my family liquor store business. I've replaced several of them before because the ink pad numbering would come off after heavy use. Clarity: My very first generation 1110 had very clear prints; however, I the replacements seem to be fuzzy and do not look very clean. I returned that one, it may have just been that one lemon. The 1131 prints look very clean and professional. I also noticed that the 1110s do not have "+tax" print; however, the 1131 does. My first gen 1110 had the "+tax" which I use quite often. Winner: 1131 Build Quality: The 1110 is a bit lighter than the 1131. The 1131 label loading mechanism is much less confusing than the 1110. Winner: 1131 Cost: It seems that there is not much of a price difference between the two models. As of 11/25/2012, looking around the Monarch 1110 is around 5 dollars cheaper than the 1131. Winner: 1110 (marginal) Overal, I am very happy with the 1131. I would recommend this product if you need a one line pricing gun. TIPS: You can find label loading tips on youtube. Just search for "loading 1131".

Great cheap labels.

The labels work great in my Monarch 1131 pricing gun. They're a much better deal than buying them in the individual packs at the office supply store. And the savings really adds up if you price every item in a busy store like I do. They're fairly well identical to the office supply store brand.
