Had issue on my 2004 GMC Sierra with the wipers only working on high and the washer fluid spray wouldn't work either. This was a relatively simple fix. You may need a windshield wiper puller to get the wiper arms off - I did on mine. There was no room to maneuver a flat head screwdriver - but the small wiper pullers available on Amazon work well. Take the wiper arms off (mark wiper position before removing), and disconnect washer fluid hoses at the base of each wiper arm. Then the front cowl removes easily with a couple torx head screws on each side. These screws are underneath some plastic covers on each corner of the windshield that easily pop off (pass side requires removal of antenna). Then you should be able to slide the cowl forward (toward engine) to release the metal retaining clips that hold it to the body and then lift up and out of the way. From there, just 4 screws hold the wiper motor cover on that are easy to remove.

My wipers on my 04 silverado would work but wouldn't shut off or change speeds. After some research this is a common problem and this part is the usually the cause.Took me longer to remove everything to get to it than to replace it but worked like a charm. 4 torx screws and clip in the harness. Pretty easy fix just time consuming. 2hrs work and $75 on this is much better than hundreds at the dealership.

Similar issue on 2004 GMC Yukon with the wipers only working on high or low but won't turn off unless key is turned off. This was a pretty easy job and took me about an hour taking my time. You should use a windshield wiper puller to get the wiper arms off (many available)after removing nut covers and (13mm) nuts. Take the wiper arms off, disconnect washer fluid hoses at the base of each wiper arm. Then the front cowl removes easily with a T-10 torx head screw on each side. These screws are underneath side plastic covers on each corner of the windshield that lift off snap base. Release the 4 metal retaining clips and slide the cowl forward (toward engine) to release and then lift up and out of the way. From there, just 4 T-20 screws hold the wiper motor cover on that are easy to remove. I didn't attempt to disconnect wire harness until cover was off as is hard to release weather tight retaining clip underneath. I installed in reverse order and works like a charm. Problem solved. Amazon of course had the best price on this part.

After investigating why my wipers only worked on high on my 2004 Duramax, I came to the conclusion it had to be this. Not sure what was wrong with my original control board. I took them out and compared the two, they looked exactly the same. The original did not have any burn marks or bulging resistors, but it was definitely the problem. As soon as I plugged the new one up, all wiper functions worked. I would also recommend buying either the wiper puller it suggests to purchase with it, or some PB blaster. The hardest part was getting the wipers off and out of the way.

Saved the day!! When I owned my silverado the wipers would work sporadically sometime not turning off, sometime no intermittent feature. This worked wonders and fixed all my wiper issues. Easy to replace, pull off the wiper cowl and unscrew the top of the wiper motor and swap this guy in, put the cowl back and tada, working wipers!!

Worked great on my 04 Silverado. If I turned my wipers on for any reason, they would not turn off unless I turned the ignition off. This fixed my problem.

2004 GMC Yukon Denali. Wipers were constantly on, no intermittent, only fast and regular speed and only turned off when the ignition was turned off. 1 hour methodical but easy install and now it's back to working perfectly.

Perfect fit and identical replacement to the original equipment (OEM) part for 2004 Tahoe Z71 Flex Fuel. My wiper blades would not turn off once I started them. Weirdest thing. This was the fix as other reviewers have mentioned.

The wipers on my 2004 Tahoe would only work when on the highest setting. Purchased this and put it in and it fixed my issue. I also replaced my wiper stalk before this and it did not fix my issue so this was my next thing to try and it fixed my wiper issue.

My 2004 Tahoe wipers would only work on high. Low, intermittent, and washer functions would not work. Replaced the module and they worked great on the first try. Perfect fit. Definitely spend the $10 and get a wiper removal tool. The hardest part is removing the cowling from under the windshield to access the module.
