Love It On My New Tires!

I really like that deep, black, glossy look on tires but most products seemed to hurt my tires in the long run. In terms of browning/dry rot, etc. (Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max). Given that this is a water based product it is safer to use on tires. It does not give that really wet, black look I like but it does give a a noticeably clean look. It's not messy either and I have not experienced any sling. I just bought new Pirelli tires that arrived at my house looking beat up. After cleaning the tires, the silk shine did a good job at making the tires actually look as they should, brand new. You don't have to clean the tires before applying, but I definitely recommend it. There is a difference in terms of how it will adhere to the tires and how long it will last.

Best Tire Dressing In The World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best tire dressing on the market and i have tried them all over the !ast 40yrs. This dressing does exactly what is says it wont do which is sling dressing throwback on you car. It dries instantly after application and your tires look amazing I will be buying a case of these before they go out of business. This is what i have been looking for for many many years and I have finally found it. Trust me it works as advertised no gimics no if and but or maybees this stuff is legit!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!

Great finish and protection

Was looking for a protectant that had low gloss to replace the (now discontinued) Meguiars Dash and Trim Foam I'd been using for years. This fits the bill perfectly - great protection and glossy but not shiny. Only suggestion when applying this is to keep it away from other dash trim (e.g. carbon fiber) as it will leave a film on it. Suggest spraying on a cloth when pointed outside the car, then applying from the wet cloth.

Good stuff

I really like this stuff. Chemical guys detailing products has become the only products i use on my cars because of the selection and the quality of solutions they make. The Silk Shine and the Natural Shine are my go to dressings from chemical guys. The Silk shine leaves a slightly glossier finish than the natural shine. The one thing this stuff has over the Natural shine dressing is that the silk shine can be used safely on stearing wheels as it doesnt leave behind a greasy residue and it dries to the touch. I love to use this stuff on tonneu covers, tires, and exterior plastic trim because it moisturizes them and brings them back to life and its a lasting dressing. This stuff actually repels dust better than the natural shine. Chemical guys does make a dressing with a high gloss finish call vrp but its just way to glossy for my taste. The silk shine and natural shine are more my flavor and they are both great on interior and exteriors. I tend to use the Natural shine on my interior because i like the natural finish and i keep the silk shine for exteriors because its a little glossier and it holds up better to outside conditions.

Wow... This stuff is perfect. Not greasy or sticky - looks great!

This stuff is the best! I like my dash to shine a bit but I usually hate the sticky/greasy feel of the stuff you get in the store... In fact, I had stopped using a dash spray for a couple of years because I got sick of the way it worked. I tried this product on a friend's recommendation in my '14 Mustang. It made the dash and the interior doors look fantastic - but not only that, it was not greasy or sticky, so I got brave and tried it on the leather steering wheel - amazing. I was prepared the steering wheel to be a possible mistake, but it was perfect - looks richer, darker, but not sticky or greasy AT ALL. I also put it on the black exterior plastic moldings that surround the windows - it brought them to life and long lasting, too! Follow the instructions and spray it on a cloth to apply - don't spray it directly on or you'll use too much - it goes a long way. After an application a week ago, dust and other stuff floating around in the air is not sticking to it - a quick hit with a clean terry cloth and it looked just like I applied a fresh coat again. I can't recommend this enough. Another win in my growing arsenal of Chemical Guys products in my garage.

It works,,, it just works, I was very happy.

I have a 8 month old truck. This summer we have abused it by many dirt roads. After using another widely known product as a dressing on my Weathertech floor matts did not return them to new condition I started researching interior dressings. I came up on the Chemical Guys site and decided this might be my answer. Upon getting Silk Shine in the mail I took my floor mats back out and washed them again. Anxious to try the Silk Shine I used my leaf blower to dry them quicker. Applying the Silk Shine was easy quick and completely restored my mats to a new look. I wiped down my interior from all the dust collected and used the Silk and Shine again.... I love riding in my truck again as it's like new again. I'm sold on this product and have ordered some of the Chemical Guys "Nonsense" cleaner. I think I've ended countless trips to Walmarts for detailing products that just have not worked well for me in the past.... This is just my opinion and I have no connection to the Chemical Guys.... This product made my jaw drop at it's results...

Perfect tire dressing

I was looking for a tire dressing that wasn’t greasy and shiny. This fit the bill perfectly. It doesn’t last as long as some solvent based dressings but it’s safer on the rubber. It gives the tires a nice satin look which is best described as a brand new clean tire. It lasts about a month for me (pretty clean roads and environment) before the sheen starts to fade. It may last longer but I wash my wheels and tires by then so it works great for me. One huge plus is that month or so the tires stay cleaner longer. Either dust/grime doesn’t stick as easily or it’s not as apparent visually than other dressings. My wheels (dark bronze) usually look dirtier than the tire sidewall by the time they are washed.

My car loves this stuff!

I love this dressing. We purchased a new car two weeks ago and the dealer wanted to apply Silk Shine for just an extra $100.00. I said: No thank you! I purchased the 16oz bottle for $8.97 and it only took 30min to do the interior of the car. Big savings! I also used it on our 12yr old car and the interior looks like new. It did not give the old car a "new car smell", but it is not an unpleasant aroma. It doesn't feel oily or greasy to the touch, but it does shine. If the dealer had not offered Silk Shine, I never would have found it, so I am grateful to them. I am happy with my purchase, it should last a long time and extend the life of my cars.

Very good product for moderate shine and doesn't fling!

I wanted to try this out as an alternative to the Meguires tire gel and foam sprays. This product spreads nicely and provides a nice natural shine. This product does not sling all over the car and not a thick gel that attracts dirty. This is my new favorite tire shine. You can use this in an engine bay and other black pieces but there are other better products for interior shining.

Excellent Product - Just What I was Looking For.

I bought this mainly for my 4x4 truck tires. I used to utilize a product made by DuPont called Teflon Tire Shine. I loved that stuff because it would dry to a satiny finish, and remain slippery (no dirt or dust sticking to it), with no greasy residue. So I tried CG Silk Shine as an alternative. Frankly I can't tell any difference between the two, except perhaps that the Silk Shine is slightly more glossy - to me, it's just the right amount of shine, and it doesn't leave a greasy mess. It holds up pretty well for me on the tires as well - takes at least a few decent rain events to wash it away. Overall, very happy with the product and would recommend it to others looking for a nice shine (but not crazy greasy shine) that doesn't leave behind a mess. The stuff is water based as well, so no worries about dry-rotting your tires.
