New to painting miniatures? This cleaner is a must. Get some now and save yourself some headaches.
If you want to clean your brushes, this is the way to go. Keeps the bristles clean, soft and supple. Easy to use, no mess. I'm glad I finally bought some because I was trying to just clean my miniature brushes by rinsing them with water and letting them air dry, but that wasn't enough. As soon as I started using this cleaner, my brushes were much cleaner and the bristles kept that point nicer.

Love this
I like the small handy size, as it travels and stores well. This stuff really works well to clean my brushes from acrylic and watercolor paints. Lasts a long time if you don't wet it too much.

It works. I have this problem where I get too lazy after painting to clean my brushes so this soap is a life saver. Now I dont suggest leaving your brushes after using acrylic or oil, but I sometimes do that and this soap has helped me revive some- not all- of the brushes.

Best Cleaner and Conditioner Combo, this 'Cleaner' can also be a Brush Restorer and Shape Retainer
Best in the market for soft watercolor brushes and to preserve the shape and handling of expensive brushes. Low odor, easy transport, and resistant to extreme temperatures for plein air work. Far better than household soap or solvents. I had some issues cleaning acrylics and oils out of bristle brushes and I kept trying to use solvents to rinse them and get the softness back after acrylic had dried. This treatment was harder on the brushes than leaving them wet would have been. Like using an astringent on your hair without conditioner, they became frayed and hard. This brush cleaner restored the softness of most of my Escoda Prado brushes. I use this if I'm going to store a brush for a long time, want to shape the brushes before travel, or to clean between truly saturating painting sessions. Leaving the soap on the brushes creates a soft, dusty white film when dry. Two swishes in water prevents it from impacting delicate watercolor washes. For oils, I'm keeping brushes wet using a drying-oil brush dip - without solvents - and use the Master's Brush Cleaner to clean the pigment out or reshape the bristles. For acrylics, I'm going to use cheaper brushes and leave them in water more to ensure the paint doesn't dry while I'm working. This brush cleaner is indispensable as a gentle cleaning and reconditioning treatment. Would be nice if it could deal with dried acrylic, but I suppose that is asking too much! Just ordered a tub for use on my largest brushes and refill my smaller containers. Left three brushes: Restored with Master's Brush Cleaner - Escoda Prado Sintetico brushes, used in oils and acrylics Right two brushes: Three-year-old Conniseur Red Sable Wash and Escoda KolinskyTajmyr Reserva Round, used in watercolor only

This has saved my brushes
As a new acrylic painter with no guidance, I thought my brushes were trash as they became dry and stiff from use and abuse. This easily restored their use by softening the bristles again, and it's saved me from having to buy more brushes.

Effective cleaning and care for paint brushes
Since I recently caught the "painting bug", I've been looking at different supplies for my newest hobby. So.. I came across this brush cleaner, read the reviews and decided to try it. I normally wash my brushes with a mild soap, but I noticed that some of them had a stiff feel after this process, and most likely needed extra care. This cleaner is a thick white balm with a very light clean lemon scent. The cleaning process is quite easy and very effective. Instructions: * Rinse brush in warm water. * Swirl brush in compound and work into lather (repeat if necessary.) * Rinse thoroughly. My brushes were not only clean, but soft as well. This jar will last a long time, definitely a good value. Highly recommend.

Love it. Wish it were cheaper. Goes by fast.
I really like these soap. It cleans oil paints very well. I wish it were cheaper. Goes by fast. Ivory soap also works very well for cleaning oil paint brushes. But I like to have both the Ivory soap and these. The combination of both keeps my brushes very clean. Try Ivory soap as well. I discovered this in art class. It cleans very well. Get the hard soap not the liquid. They are cheap and you can get them from the grocery store or maybe even on Amazon. The Masters Brush Cleaners is also very good, more convenient and cleans brushes very well.

Even on makeup brushes!
I never realized that brushes loose hairs because they need to be conditioned with faint oils. Tremendous cleaner of oil and water based paints. Leaves brushes, even my makeup brushes silky clean!

Good stuff!
Wow this is good stuff! Works really well. I was able to make some older brushes with dried paint in them usable again. It took some scrubbing and a few different tries, but afterwords they really were like new. I also tried using it as a "conditioner" in one brush by leaving a little amount worked into the bristles overnight, and it definitely softened up one of my old hard brushes. For the price, which for me was <$7, this is great stuff! The amount will last years, I think.

Simply the best
I trust all of my brushes to this brush cleaner, as does every other painter that I know. Art supplies are expensive, and preserving them properly protects and extends that investment. This cleaner has pulled some of my formerly "ruined" brushes back from the edge. I had a brush that was stained purple for about 2 years. Each time I used and washed it, the fresh paint would come out and the purple would remain. As soon as I started washing it with this brush cleaner, the purple starting running right out. After a good 10 minutes of swirling and rinsing, my brush was back to its original condition. Cleaning well maintained brushes after painting with them takes much less time. I use this brush cleaner every single time I paint, and even the small tubs like this one last through a ton of use. I know painters who have had the same tubs for 10 years and counting. I've used this with gouache, watercolor, permanent inks, acrylic paints, metallic paints, oil paint, etc. With most paints, this brush cleaner does the trick on its own. If I've used ink on a brush, I'll wash it with a drop of dish soap in order to pull the ink from the ferrule before using this brush cleaner. With any other medium, this is the only product I use for cleaning my brushes. It cleans and conditions them to keep them like new.
