Very heavy amp, but has plenty of steady power.

Alright to start off this amp weighs a ton, so if weight is an issue I wouldn't mess with it because its one of the heaviest amps I've messed with. It does seem to push out a lot of steady power, I ran it pretty hard for about 5 hours non stop and it didn't over heat or skip a beat doing a DJ party. It did have a little bit of a smell when I first powered it on but that went away quickly. The fan system for this amp seems a little strange but it works so far. I will probably be buying another.

I've been using this amp for about 2 years now in my home theater to power 4 - 15" Dayton High Output subwoofers. The amp has performed flawlessly during this time, so I think this speaks well for its durability. I have this rack mounted in a Middle Atlantic Slim 5 rack and looks great with the other components in the rack. This amp does not skip a beat, even with action movie soundtracks played at reference levels.One work of caution, though - the stock fan is very loud and unsuitable for use in a home theater if you want to keep the floor noise in the room to a minimum. To remedy this situation, I replaced the stock fan with a near silent fan from Digikey. The result is near silent operation.

This thing is no slouch

I bought this due to my dads recommendation and couldn't be happier. Crisp, clean and very powerful. The fan is kind of noisy but i wont deduct for something that was designed to be pushed to max and yet still be conservative while making some noise. The amp runs cool at least even after pushing it for 8 hours straight.

Great Price for 2K watt amp. Easy repairs. Lots of inputs.

For the cost this is a great amplifier. I replaced a Peavy 2000 Watt with it. The new Peavys are made in China and have a one peice board but this has a separate power supply, preamp, and 2 amplifier boards(one for each channel). This makes it much easier to repair if needed. It is noisy because the fan cooling runs all the time, but that could be modified if you needed it for a home theater setup. I was using it to run the PA/Music system for a College stadium. I would say the real power is closer to 2000 watts.

This will be the same review for all the europower amps. I own 16 of these amps 8p4000 6ep2000 1 ep1500 1 ep2500 I use these in my "club" PA system. So power wasn't main focus. Price was ONLY factor in buying these amps. So I didn't expect much. So if one stopped working so what I'll buy a new one. That's the problem! I never had one blow up! Working 5 nights a week and constantly being abused by rolling around racks by rough roadies. Spend hot days in trailers, even survived downpours at outdoor festivals. A rack of 3 Survived a fall down 3 flights of steps. I only had one go bad. And it was bought second hand from a fellow who shorted it out. I always buy any when I seem thme go up on sale. Or second hand on craigslist.

What’s not to love. Highly recommended

Use this amp strapped driving a custom 18” sub. Fan is a bit loud, but my amp is in a cabinet. Built a DIY inlet filter. Air filter at front doesn’t make much sense. All this power, and 2ohm stable. For $300?? What’s not to love. Highly recommended.
