Know your child, smallest penguin is very small
My 1 year old daughter loves these guys! She loves to shake them and hear the noise and you never know when penguins will come flying out! She is finally getting the idea of trying to put them back together. They are cute to look at and easy to see when they are all apart and scattered on the floor. ***I did put the smallest penguin away for now because he is mouth sized,*** but there are still 5 others for her to stack and play.

A Great Hit with My Grandson
I was taking my almost 2 year old grandson to the beach and wanted to have a couple new toys that would be easy to pack. My mom has a set of nesting eggs that my grandson likes, so I thought the nesting penguins would be worth a try. My grandson loved them and played with them A LOT! I also bought a nuts and bolts play set, and they were hardly touched. The smallest nesting penguin could be a choking hazard. The package clearly states it is for ages 3+. So we just took the smallest penguin out. The penguins are easy for small hands to take apart and put back together. I highly recommend!

Great unique gift!
When you can't find something to give your weird, nerdy, but really cool nephew, this is what you get for him! He is eleven, and likes penguins too, so this was a win-win. He loves 'em, from what I hear, and has them displayed prominently. They are made of sturdy materials, so great for youngsters (including the younger brother who insists on playing with it too ;) ) and the packaging has facts on it too. If the kids are so inclined to read it (my nephews were not, but there you go.)

Great for small hands
I bought these for my 15 month old grandson who had become obsessed with my Russian nesting dolls. I was concerned that the paint would end up in his mouth or that he would get splinters (he's pretty tough on toys) so I looked for a child-friendly solution at a reasonable price. These adorable little penguins were just the thing: he loves the big eyes, and there are enough of them to keep him busy trying to put the individual birds together and then nest them. I don't expect them to last forever, but for now they are perfectly sturdy and enjoyable for his fat little hands and offer plenty of opportunity to build manual dexerity and fine motor skills.

Buy this toy! It's fun! And cute!
Best toy! The smallest penguin opens and you can put a jelly belly inside. My daughter adores this toy and plays with it daily! All the penguins open and close easily, look wonderful, match up and are perfect. Better than anticipated. This is great for a 2 year old to learn eye hand coordination skills, sizes, etc. the smallest penguin may be too small for a 2 year old so she only gets this when we are playing with her (choking hazard). She calls it the "baby" and if we only bought this toy for her birthday she would have been very happy. Best stacking toy!

Plastic and durable and adorable
Stinking adorable! They are hard plastic, not wood FYI. The smallest one actually opens up too surprisingly. They were packaged well and my kids already love them.

Best toy for my 22 months old girl
I noticed that my daughter was playing with 2 egg shell Toys that are similar to nesting dolls at a friend's house. so immidiately thought I had to get some sort of toys like that. And found this, and it's now her favorite toy. She won't stop playing with it unless I take it away. Today it went on a about solid 40 minutes only with this toy before I had to take it away for bed. I have never seen her playing with 1 single toy for that long. I am really happy i bought this :) and they are so cute!!!!

Good quality, kid loves it!
These penguins are made of nice plastic (fairly sturdy and not cheap looking). They are easier to pull apart than some of the wooden ones that can swell and get stuck together (and become difficult for a child to open). The child I bought them for loves them. When she plays with these, she is clearly thinking about and learning how to fit smaller sizes into larger sizes. It is simple but seems quite educational for her. The smallest penguin would probably be a choking hazard for a toddler, so I would recommend removing that one before giving it to a very young kid.

Cute and durable toy
Our three year old son LOVES this toy! He stacks them over and over and carries them everywhere. He also has the Marvel Avengers version and begged for this for his birthday when he saw it. He has slept with it every night since we got it. The video they have with their product description has been watched endless times and every time he points out how the smallest penguin has his eyes closed; it has a very cute design. This toy has already been dropped countless times in the street, on the tile, and even stepped on by us and has held up against it all. (The Marvel version has also been fantastic in case, like us, you want more than one) If you have a little one that likes holding on to small objects, likes taking things apart and putting them back together, then this is the toy for you. We highly recommend!!!

My toddlers love playing with these - ages 1-4
My toddlers love playing with these - ages 1-4. The 1 year olds did put the smallest in their mouth though. They are fun and cute. I used a pint glass and quarter to show size.
