What Fun

I bought a couple of the Alex craft packages to take with me when I was fortunate enough to get a call requesting that I watch my grand-darling for a week. She will be 3 in Feb. and we had a great time working on these together. I approached these as a bonding experience and had no expectations that she would be able to put them together perfectly without a great deal of help from me..she was able to identify the pieces we needed and where to place them but the actual assembling of the item was a little harder to accomplish (she loved the glue stick). Buying the glue dots is a must for these crafts...it allows you complete the project without waiting for the glue to dry...I let her use the glue and I put down the glue dots for reinforcement. The quality of this item was outstanding..each craft was individually packaged, well made and colorful....would buy again without hesitation.

Hours of Fun!!

We love Alex Toy Little Hands Crafts. We added multiples of them into our craft box. My 5 yr old has enjoyed not only making them but playing with them as well. It's great quality fun with kids when they have to be indoors. The box includes everything you need. It has the paper plates, large glue stick, easy pop out pieces and stickers. There are 5 different ones included. The instructions are easy to follow with picture type instructions. My 5 yr old was able to follow the instructions on his own just by looking at the pictures. I highly recommend any of the Alex brand craft sets. Whole lotta fun in this box!

Purchased for my 4 year-old grandson who is right now big into crafting things. This box kept us busy for a whole week! The materials included are nice quality, and just the right amount, which is to say we didn't run out of anything and we didn't have too many leftovers. The instructions were fairly easy, but we could have used some more coaching on how to use the adhesive strips provided. We didn't understand the difference between stickers and sticky adhesive strips and dots right away, so ended up using some of our own tape in places, and we probably would not have had to. BUT, the results were big and bright and bold and beautiful! 4 year-old could do almost everything by himself, but Grandma hovered so his 2 year-old sister could help do a few things too, and because the projects were just plain fun! These were great to display because they turned out so well. They would make a wonderful activity for a kids' party. Definitely recommend!

We love Alex art packs

We love Alex art packs. Tried multiple sets, and this one - like the rest- is very nice. One of the best ways to spend afternoons with my 3-years-old twin girls. The one thing that could be improved is the glue stick. It does not really work and does not make anything stick, which is frustrating for both the kid and the parent. We ended up using a different glue to avoid dramas, but this should be improved by the vendor going forward.

The only thing I would have liked was a stronger glue

I got this for my two year old who is into crafts and it was a little old for her but could get through it with mom and dad. Worth five stars simply for the packaging. You open the box and it has each of the five crafts in a separate bag with the appropriate materials. The only thing I would have liked was a stronger glue. It includes a stick glue but the materials were a little heavy so it required more assistance from us parents for her to get through the project. Maybe use your own glue and you are set!

Engaging

I bought this product to use in my speech therapy sessions to promote receptive/expressive language skills; what a great buy! My clients are extremely engaged and get something to take home at the end. They enjoy creating their bugs and giving them names. Great purchase!

Perfect for rainy days!

Anyone stuck in the house on a rainy day with toddlers knows the importance of having crafts on hand to pass the time! These are my favorite brand. They have 5 projects per box and the $7 investment buys me 6 hours of occupied toddler time! And here's a little FYI- the completed project makes excellent coasters for wine glasses cause recycling is important.

Recommend this for children who like to do crafts.

This was given as a gift to two girls, 5 and 7. They both like doing crafts. It seems it was a good choice. They enjoyed the doing the projects and have them proudly displayed on a wall. We did take other reviewers advice and provide a separate bottle of white glue. It seemed to help make the items easier to make. They did these projects with very little help, though the seven year old did help the five year old. The paper plate bugs, which were given at the same time, will get the same review. Their mother said they have received other Alex crafts and enjoyed doing those also.

Best craft ever!

This is a great craft for my 3 year old grand daughter. She is not easily pleased with craft type activities. She likes this. It has several different choices to do. Everything is included. Each craft idea is individually wrapped.. We've done 3 of the 5 adorable insects. They are detailed and take a good 30 minutes to complete. Easy to do. This is probably the best craft item I've ever purchased. Although I got it for my 3 yr old, it is good for my 7 8.and 12 yr old too. P

Wow, was amazed at how much was included with the kit and it came with a glue stick that really works!

Super awesome craft kit. I got this out one day after Christmas and was thinking I hope I have some glue around the house. I was amazed when I opened the box how much was included and it came with a glue stick that of greater quality (thicker). The glue actually works. So far, we've made two paper plate bugs. The designs shown are great and easy to do or you can be creative and come up with your own. Lots and lots of items included to make different designs.
