Kaytee Forti Diet Pro Health Bird Food for.

I have a Blue Crown and she eats anything really, but her favorite is the salfour and the larger bird food doesn't have as much in the bag. She does love everything in the bag, but she is happier with salfour. So I got this kind. It doesn't hurt to mix in between with the larger bird food. Blue Crowns are larger than regular Conures and my Sally has a big appetite. She has a very active day every day for an older bird. Kaytee is the best bird food out there. One person pointed out the hot pepper. Yes, even peppers are nutritious and do we really know if they are that hot to a bird. Well, mine just tosses it ;-) Guess she doesn't care for it, but I'm sure some do. I like the idea of the variety. I just have a spoiled bird. Eventually exposed to it enough times they will try it and maybe eat it. Growing up we weren't exposed to lots of different foods and we are all fussy eaters, so I value variety and seeings my bird is like a child to me, that is what she gets. I questioned it the first time myself, but after thinking about it, I don't now. The food is always fresh, I have never seen an expired date and the bag doesn't most times 90% of the time look like you got the last bag ??? Bottom of the grain bin bag. Whenever I buy parrot food, it is always Kaytee, for a mixed cocktail it's VitaKraft and I just get unsalted peanuts at the grocery store for my bird. My bird always gets the best. My husband once told me after looking into the fridge and saying that my bird eats better than we do. I asked him if he would like a bowl of seed ;-) Case Closed.

Better than the Conure version

I switched to this when the Kaytee Conure food started adding large pieces of what looks like dog kibble in the bags. (I suspect to add weight so they can place less seeds that the birds actually eat inside to save them money and cheat the customers. Boo.) This cockatiel version has much less of that useless dry kibble and more of what my sun conure eats. It has pretty much exactly what the conure food contains and my bird is happy with it. So i'm sticking to this now. It also doesn't have the full size in shell peanuts that the conure version has, but I just go to the nearby Bulk Nation store and scoop up a pound of peanuts there for a couple bucks. If you have a sun conure, this is much better than the actual conure version of Kaytee Forti Diet....you get more food in the bag that the bird actually eats which saves you money in the long run.

Smells Fresh and Fruity

I watched my mother-in-law's cockatiel for only a few weeks and had to buy him food. The food she had was cheap and the bird picked through it. I bought this and the difference was noticeable. I am not a "bird person" but when I put my nose in the bag to smell this, it smells like fresh fruit! When I compared it with the prior food, I was shocked. When I smelled inside the bag of cheap bird food, it smelled like dirt! The bird liked this better too.

I've been feeding my birds this particular brand for years. My cockatiel is in his 20s. He sometimes only wants the small seeds and doesn't eat the sunflowers and I've found that switching to canary seedsm

I haven't tried it yet, but my birds seem to love it. Id ask them, but they only know to sing the Addams family theme song back and say quack. Either answer doesn't apply sadly....

I give this to my love bird,and of course seed is just a small part of diet,veges sprouts ect and i use kaytee cockatiel pellets also small like a seed and my bird will eat them,give pellets on top of bird mash in the morning then other seed at knight dinner,i don't believe in a all pellet diet,do your research.

Birds ear it up

Birds eat it up great combination of healthy seeds. Best if you add a diet with a mixed fresh veggies and fruits. Don't foget those all important dark greens.

Purchased this product because it was inexpensive compared to what I normally feed my bird and it contains a lot of the same stuff. It turns out my bird loves this stuff. He almost never finishes the food I feed him, but this was gone fast. If the bird approves then I must approve as well.
