*UPDATED REVIEW*
*UPDATED 11/8/17 from 3 to 5 stars! As it turns out, the Tumbleweed fire starter was the cause of the unpleasant taste! I fired up the Uuni for a pizza tonight and used the Traeger oak pellets and a kitchen torch to light. The pizza was delicious with NO unpleasant taste & burned quite well! I'll definitely be purchasing these pellets again! (Original/old review - Our experience with the Traeger Oak Pellets was less than appetizing. After trying them twice, in our Uuni pizza oven, both times resulted in a "chemical" taste to our pizza. They burned well, got the oven nice and hot, no smoke, just the awful taste. Incidentally, we tried a different brand this weekend...no "chemical" taste whatsoever. Might just be personal preference...but I just don't think they're a good fit for this oven.)

Tried another company's product that had good reviews and found the Traeger product to be superior ...
Tried another company's product that had good reviews and found the Traeger product to be superior in the amount of hickory flavor imparted and in its resistance to absorbing humidity while in the hopper. The latter is really important as the pellets can gum up and jam if too much moisture is absorbed. I store mine in a very large fiberglass tightly sealed dogfood container fro the pet store which works well.

The Mesquite is AWESOME with beef or Chicken
The Mesquite is AWESOME with beef or Chicken. With Turkey however, get Pecan. I keep my pellets in a plastic bin that holds 3 bags. I really enjoy cooking everything on my Traeger - the meats stay juicy, not burnt, and the different flavors of smoke just really make some amazing food.

Great for chicken and pork smoking!
These aren't the cheapest pellets I've ever bought, but they were delivered to my door without me having to hunt them down and lift them :) We particularly like Maple for smoking pork and chicken. Or just for blending with stronger woods to tame them a bit (hickory). Maple pellets give a distinct syrupy flavor to foods. They're good for some foods, but I'm not a huge fan of maple with beef. Maple is however wonderful for cooking bacon directly on the rack or your pellet grill (opt for a bacon that isn't already maple flavored or it will be overwhelmingly maple flavored).

Excellent smoke and flavor used in a smoke tube
I use these in a smoking tube that I bought on Amazon and they work great! For Chicken halves on my Weber grill, I fill the smoke tube about 1/4 of the way, light the pellets with a propane torch (don't bother with a lighter, use a small propane tank torch), let them burn for about 5 minutes, blow out the flame, place in the bottom of the grill right under the Chicken and cook on low heat (~250) for an hour and 20 minutes or until breast is at 165 degrees. These pellets provide more flavor than other brands I've used. If you want to smoke a brisket, you fill the tube up all the way and it will last about 4 - 5 hours with these pellets. They put out a LOT of smoke and it's a steady smoke. Will start buying only these from now on. BTW, the Cherry is my favorite flavor and can be used on a variety of proteins.

Superb for Brisket!
I've been using my Traeger for many years now, and this was my first time using this "Texas" blend for brisket. WOW - - highly recommended!! Gave the brisket a nice smoke ring and bark (I didn't wrap), taste was fantastic yet didn't have that sharp acidic smoke bite like I got in the past when doing long duration smokes of large cuts of beef. Definitely try the "Texas" blend for your next beef rib / brisket / tri-tip.

Great smokey flavor
Great smokey flavor. Works great with our Traeger. Our 'head chef' doesn't believe there's a huge difference in flavor between the different versions of pellets but, that being said, he does prefer the Apple for most Traeger cooking.

Gives a good, deep, rich, sweetish smoke.
We recently purchased a Traeger Tailgater and bought three bags of pellets--this hickory, apple and alder. We intend to use the Tailgater for chicken parts, thick pork butt slices and salmon fillets. We did a mixed grill over the weekend: Chicken thighs, fresh Alsatian sausage and nicely marbled pork butt slices. The fragrance and taste of these smoking hickory pellets was magnificent. We were used to smoking pecan, oak and mesquite on our big smoker in our back yard. We've downsized and no longer have a yard. Desperately missing our smoker, we bought a Traeger. It is definitely not the same, but not a bad smoking experience. The hickory is a bit gentler than the pecan, oak and mesquite, but it gives a good, deep, rich, sweetish smoke. (We did not appreciate the apple; have yet to try the alder.)

Great pellets - Traeger quality
Awesome Oak pellets for my Traeger smoker. Purchasing on Amazon with Prime shipping straight to my doorstep sure beats having to track these down at the hardware store. In this part of the world (Northwest), sometimes the Oak pellets can be difficult to find. The pellets are great quality - produce a decent quality smoke reminiscent of aged post-oak. I use these exclusively for briskets.

great pellets
Very pleased. So far, I have Maple cooked Chicken, Pork and Beef (Plus Corn on the cob) in my pellet smoker, and my favorite was the Chicken. Wow, it was good. I have not been able to slow smoke anything yet (due to timing) but I am sure that if i was able to slow smoke the pork, it would have been awesome. OH... and the corn was amazing,... it probably absorbed the smoke the best, and every bite gave off a great maple flavor bite.
