If you are a responsible driver like me who every once in a while will be ...
Incredible value for the price! I do not speed or drive hard; Yet on several occasions i was distracted and SAVED by this product!!! If you are a responsible driver like me who every once in a while will be driving downhill or too fast, then this is for you. The first time it GOES OFF, you brake, & THEN see the LEO (LawEnforcementOfficer) who radars you going the speed limit=It just paid for itself. Its a solid choice for such little cost.

Best Bang for the BUCK
I was considering a 200 or 300 detector based on some YT reviews, glad I stayed stingy and went for this instead. This detector does an EXCELLENT job. If you live in a rural area or even a smaller suburb you shouldn't need all of the filtering provided by a more expensive radar, this should do. It already saved me from one possible pullover/ticket, I was behind a slow driver and would have had to speed to get around, the device started going off so I waited and sure enough there was a LEO about a mile ahead running radar.

Excellent radar/laser detector on 4000 mile trip...
This is an excellent radar/laser detector. I used it on a trip in late 2015 on a trip from California to Colorado and then to Texas and reversed my route back again. Round trip approximately 4000 miles. I travelled through one of the biggest hot beds for tickets California to Las Vegas where law enforcement is always out in force on both sides of the state line. The unit worked great. No tickets or pullovers anywhere on this long trip. The majority of the time I had an alarm I would later spot the troopers or highway patrol either hiding on the side of the highway, at the bottom of a hill, behind a bush, in the process of pulling over a vehicle or parked behind a vehicle they had stopped. Just because there were times I didn't see a cruiser after the warning doesn't mean they weren't there. I think some drivers make the mistake of thinking that because they don't see a cruiser it isn't there. They start to ignore the warnings and that's when they get caught by law enforcement. I believe the unit gave very few false alarms. I did have to reset it once or twice by unplugging it and plugging it back in. But over all it was very accurate and gave me plenty of warning to slow down, usually a distance of a couple of miles or more. The straighter and more level the highway and the less obstacles the further the warning distance. I paid only $40.12 for the unit vs. the cost of a speeding ticket that can cost hundreds is worth it to me, plus a great arrival time to my destinations. A bonus is that its great for night driving as it often beeps and helps to keep you alert. Hope this review helps.

I'm either insane or this is a really good radar detector...
When I purchased this item, I thought it'd be similar to a Cobra brand unit, meaning every automatic door, radio frequency, security system, or home motion detector would set it off and also that it would have low range for the actual police... I was wrong. Works almost flawlessly, minus a couple 1 bar ka band interference beeps from passing trucks. Even detected a police radar around a bend through some woods. Caught the troopers laser on the freeway, about 20 seconds before I saw him behind the bridge. Was amazing. In town I had no annoying pickups from doors or alarm systems. Truely amazed by this cheap thing... It's almost as good as my old passport 8500, honestly. And that thing was truely expensive. Though that one didn't pick up the trucks... Either way. Worth every penny, and it's not very many. I vote buy it.

Great product! Bang for your buck!
I usually never leave reviews but I am making an exception. After debating which radar detector to get this one was perfect for budget and use. What a great product. Dont listen to negative reviews. This detector has already helped from getting tickets. I live in a tourist town which police take radar everyday. No it doesnt tell you where every cop is. Yes it does pick up some false alarms. No it will not keep you from getting pulled over by police. But it picks up great when cops are taking radar. Helps you monitor speed and keeps you alert for speed traps. Yes you can still hear it when radio is on probably not so much when its at full blast. I love it will buy another one for wifey since she get more speeding tickets than me.

I was surprised at the quality and performance of this detector.
For $19 this is a steal. I have owned multiple detectors ranging from the most expensive to the least (this one). But I was surprised at the quality and performance of this detector and I have only owned it a week. Even better, I believe it might have saved me from a ticket yesterday. With collision avoidance radar standard on many new cars, my previous detector false alarmed constantly. This XTR-130 occasionally gets fooled but less often. A road I often drive has a fixed K-band radar displaying speed and the XTR-130 starts alarming at the same spot my previous detector did so the sensitivity is the same. In summary, this was a great buy.

It works!
I was a little skeptical at first, but once I got it on the main road I drive on everyday, it did save me from a cop! Although I do feel embarrassed when I stop right next to a cop and they see my detector. This doesn’t have great rear detection, but it does detect radio and laser from a good distance away. And it is insanely inexpensive for what you get! Definitely worth buying and combining with veil.... they will never get you again! 😉

Excellent Radar Detector, right in the sweetspot for price and value
After driving a lot with this thing, I have no complaints. It picks up radar really well, around corners and over hills, and has never failed to alert me to a trooper or speedtrap. There have been maybe a couple times when ti has gone off without there being an officer nearby, however I would rather err on the side of false alarms than no alarms.

Lots of stupid reviews
I give 5 stars for the fact price/benefit. It's not the best one otherwise it wouldn't cost $40, but so far it has been way better than my cobra vedetta 500 that costs $99 and goes off every second no matter if it is in the city max mode or hwy. I have read some comments here and I can't believe how stupid ppl are ( I actually can), you can't buy a $40 and expect it to be similar to a $500 escort. And let me teach you guys few things, not all the police cars are equipped with radar, even the ones that are they have to be on and many times they are off, so if you pass by a cop or the sheriff department and it doesn't go off is because of those reasons. Stop being stupid and expect a Chevy to be a Mercedes!!! Learn how to use and it can be very helpful.
