like that it fits inside window channel and not taped to truck body. Start and stop your auto window twice then bump it the rest of the way and the window will close

Very happy with these. Yes, I've like many people had problems with the auto window feature. But it seems to have cleared up as I've used it more. I don't see that being the ventshade's problem though, they do exactly what they're supposed to do.

Needed to install the tabs on my back windows (but not the front) as the window would push up on the visor and made a few dents in the visor but didn't stop them from functioning properly. Otherwise they look good. Don't get the ones that stick on the side of your car. If you do that... might as well get Spinning Hub caps while you're at it.

I purchased these for a 2013 Ford F-150 with automatic up / down power windows. Yes, these work flawlessly for me NOW. And I will let you know HOW. After reading relentless reviews about how bad these vent shades performed in-channel for Ford Vehicles I became skeptical about buying these or any other brand until I learned more. 1. Ford Motor Company DOES NOT RECOMMEND IN-CHANNEL vent visors, only stick on outside channel visors. 2. I do not like stick on vent visors and I was determined to make mine work. This is for the front windows only, rear windows have no problem. If your vent visors come packaged with channel clips, throw them away. Install the vent visors following the directions for wiping the channels and inserting the vent visor. Be absolutely sure to push the front visors all the way into place then raise the window all the way up to the top. But it will not go all the way, now what? When the window automatically goes down and stops, IMMEDIATELY HOLD THE BUTTON IN THE UP position until the window raises fully into the channel forcing the vent shade tight into the channel. You may have to push slightly on the shade if it window wants to catch on the lower edge of the vent shade. DO NOT OPEN the front windows for three days. Yes three days. Why three days? The window channel rubber needs that time to stretch and conform to the vent visor. What if I need to use a toll road or bank teller? If you must, then do the same routine with the window, if it fails to go completely closed, IMMEDIATELY HOLD THE BUTTON IN THE UP position closing the window fully into the track. Do this as soon as the window has automatically lowered itself. After three days, you may still have problems with the window catching and lowering automatically. It took mine three weeks to finally start working right each time. If you live in a cold climate your installation may take longer. I did mine in 25c / 75F degree sun and left it closed tor three days.

These fit good. I read a lot of reviews saying the window won't go all the way up. They do go all the way up but like another person said, it is good if you leave the windows up for an extended period of time. They do go back down sometimes if you use the automatic function. Not a big deal for me. You will probably have the same issues with others. They have a good look.

Just installed this set on my 2012 F-150. Installation was easy, but had some trouble with the auto windows too. I LOVE the way they look, I replaced the surface mount ventshades with these and I like these way better. I'm going to let them sit in the track fully closed for a few days and see how the windows close then. I may update this rating depending on how they work. UPDATE: Several years later and these are still awesome. After some time in the tracks, the windows worked fine... took a few weeks. Highly recommended.

Perfect fit and easy to install. I agree with other reviewers throw away the silly little plastic clips. clean the mounting surface very well lineup carefully and install. carefully put the window back up and leave the windows up for at least a full day in the sun and you will have no problems. My wife loves them because she is short and says having the little bit of shade keeps the sun out of her eyes. Happy wife happy life.

My wife has a set of in channels on her 13 escape and they caused problems with the auto up windows, but once I filed down the sharp edges where it goes into the window channel, they work fine now. Take the time (about 2 minutes) and file off the sharp edges before installing them and you will be fine. It's been too cold here in northern Ohio, so I'm going to wait to install these on my 13 F150 supercrew. I will update after I get them on. Update (12/19/13) had an above freezing day today and installed the vent visors on my truck. I filed down the sharp edges and installed them, and my auto up windows work perfectly, I even used all 4 clips. I noticed when I opened the package that I have the revised version, the leading edge where it contacts the window glass is about 60% as thick as the rest of the visor. Apparently the thinner leading edge combined with my filing modification did the trick.

I got these for my 2013 F150 Crew Cab, being a little apprehensive about the auto up feature on the front windows causing problems. They were very easy to install, taking more time to get them unpackaged and ready to install than the actual install. After I got them installed the auto up feature on the front windows was a little hard to work with, although when I finally got them up I left them there for a few days. Then they worked fine. I guess they had to get 'set' into the channel. The shades arrived with one clip missing. I called the 800 number for Lund International and they sent two clips to me that I received in a couple of days. A week later I received a call from them wanting to know if I received the clips and if everything was working fine. EXCELLANT product from a great company that backs up what they sell. HIGHLY recommended!

Works great. Be prepared to have an issue with automatic windows. Your system will learn over time. Mine did after only a few tries. Place the provided clips in the window channel halfway over the visor as instructed. This opens the channel more to accomodate the visor. When the autowindow goes down automatically, let it continue to the bottom, and then manually raise it. Your window will learn. Believe me. The rear windows may grab the plastic visors if you don't have the clips. One of my rear clips fell out, and disappeared, twice. I took the clips from the front and glued it on. It too works great. Keep trying and don't quit on it.
