• High strength spring steel fish tapes are stiff for long runs and are great for heavy duty wire pulls
  • Laser etched markings in 1-foot (0.3 m) increments allow you to more accurately measure the depth of conduit runs and determine the amount of tape left to pay out
  • Polypropylene case and handle offer the maximum in impact resistance
  • Full grip-style handle gives you a firm, steady grip as you pull tape from the case
  • Raised fingergrips transfer 100-percent of the winding power from your hand and fingers

Small, compact, beefy, and quality made sums it up. Easy to roll and unroll. The outside case is a high quality polymer that seems very strong. With a little care this should last many years. This is the same size roll as the 25 foot version. Highly recommended.

Now that I am older, I need to work smarter. While putting in a security system, this "snake" was ideal for me. Lot less climbing in the attic. Pretty much sure it will work for your electrical needs and other projects. Maybe not for the professional electrician...but for most of us...I give it the 5 Stars. Ken in Idaho

i used this to pull out old Coax TV cable and replace with new coax and CAT6 where the old cable jammed and had to be cut out. No issue with flexibility or strength and did the job perfectly. Only issue i had was when I was rolling up and I didn't follow the directions on the unit completely - wasn't rolling tight enough so had to pull out completely and re-roll as per instructions. Read the directions so you don't get a user error.

I purchased this to hang 2 flatscreen TV's - needed to fish a few feet of romex and some hdmi cables to mount new AV plates. This works great! I've been able to bend the lead to get around tough curves and corners (takes a little while to get used to). I've found that the wire can be controlled and unravelled easily as needed but also clamped securely. Taping the wire to the tip of the wire is an easy way to minimize snags. Have used this for wiring, tv's and other general renovation around the house. Looks good works great.

I've been "getting by" with a jumble of wire coat hangers that I had straightened, twisted and taped together. Finally, I stuck a crowbar in my wallet and bought this fish tape. The first time I used it, I knew it was worth every penny I spent on it. I had the coax cable fished from the basement up through an exterior wall (complete with fiberglass insulation) in less than a minute. As they say in Australia, "no dramas". If I never use it again (and I most certainly will), this is one purchase that has already paid for itself based on the frustrating experience I didn't have. Get one, and you'll never regret it! To address the issues some other purchasers mentioned, I had no problems either unrolling it or rolling it back up. It was a little stiff as I would expect from a brand new item, but not excessively so. This is a quality product.

I have been doing a project in my house running wires for some speakers through existing walls. I'm running four overhead speakers and 6 speakers for the surround sound. The walls have insulation, so it has been especially challenging. This fish tape has been fantastic! It has enough rigidity to push it through difficult areas while staying straight, but also enough flexibility to get around corners or other obstacles. I also bought a fish rod to run wires, but I have found that the tape is way better for what I'm using it for. I tried using the rod but eventually just switched to the tape. I have ran many cables with this thing so far with little problem. Some people are complaining about it getting jammed up when retracting/releasing. There have been times where it feels a little tight, but I just followed the directions and I haven't had a problem. I've had it fully unwound and rewound multiple times without an issue.

I love this tool. Ran thick ethernet cable through 6 feet of buried plastic pipe with two 90 degree turns without the slightest issue. Read the instructions on how to rewind the tape and you will not be cussing it like some other reviewers - the obvious direction is not the right direction to rewind.

I used this 50' fish today for the first time and found it to be a great product. I had to run 11 Cat 5 cables through conduit. The fish tape housing is much smaller (7") and easier to work with than the last one I had (13"). Tape was easy to extend and retract, and I had to use almost all 50' on one particular run.

I should have bought one of these a long time ago. This was relatively cheap compared to the grief I have been through trying to use tie wire to cheat my way around one. I used this to fish speaker wires through my ceiling. Nothing is perfect but this certainly beats the bailing wire. Also, I bound this thing up a couple of times before I finally read the instructions. I suggest reading before you use it so you don't bind up the spring. It is easy enough to fix but you have to feed the whole thing out and then reel it back in the right way.

It's been great. Often just to short for what I need and I should have got a longer one. But nevertheless I still find myself using it several times a week. Did brake the end off pulling wire but I just used my pliers to bend a new end on it. For the price it's worth it.
