Great
Awesome puppet, my only complaint would be I thought it was a boy from the photo but he didn’t care.

Cutest Puppets Ever!
My 11, 9, and 6 year old girls LOVE these puppets they received from their Grandma for Christmas! They had seen them in a toy shop at the mall and played FOREVER with them there. I suggested to my mom she get them for the girls for Christmas and she did and they were so excited! The wooden dowel that moves their hand can be moved from right to left...that's a plus, too! The price here was great, as well.

Adorable.
These puppets are just so cute. I bought the chef and doctor for my two granddaughters (sisters) since they love playing restaurant and hospital pretend games. I have no doubt they'll love these Christmas gifts.

Awesome Surgeon Puppet with long black hair
At first, you may think this is a regular stereotyped surgeon puppet (man of course), but this puppet has long black hair and brown skin. I first bought this puppet to take to Guatemala on a Habitat for Humanity build trip and was pleasantly surprised when it appeared to be a woman. I asked some local women to wrap her hair up in the traditional, local Guatemalan headdress, and took her to our build sites and did puppet shows. Each year I return, I take several to leave behind because they are so awesome.

Good quality for a good price.
I use this for research and had to give the puppet neutral clothes, so I was glad that the doctor outfit is removable. I was worried that a human-like puppet would scare young children, but the preschoolers I do research with have enjoyed it. (5 stars)

Great Despite Design Flaws
My whole family loves this puppet. She has been dubbed "Dr. Pepper" by my daughter, and we have all spent some time playing with her (grandparents included). Even a 3 year-old can figure out how to move the mouth and the hands to "make her talk." I give this puppet all the credit in obliterating my daughter's fear of doctor visits. As a matter of fact, she insisted on taking Dr. Pepper with us to her 3 year checkup so Dr. Pepper could meet my daughter's "other doctor." She acts out bizarre medical dramas with her other toys, constantly wants Dr. Pepper to take the pulse of every human and pet in the household, and this is four months after she received the toy. Clearly, we are very pleased with the puppet - there are a few tiny areas for improvement, though. The hair is held back in a ponytail by a piece of yarn that cannot be replaced if it comes out. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that Dr. Pepper only had a tonsure-like ring of hair around a bald head since her hair was in a ponytail, so after lots of strands had fallen out and were looking sloppy, I took out the yarn pony-tail holder to fix it only to find that her hair can only be worn in a ponytail due to the tonsure construction. It worked out okay - we just put it back with a regular rubber band, but it doesn't look quite as nice as it did originally after being redone. The other small thing to be aware of is the mask over the puppet's mouth doesn't work very well with a puppet whose raison d'etre is to speak. We tried putting it up in her hair as a surgery cap and pushing it down around her neck, but it wasn't very long before the surgical mask was just another piece of flotsam in the bottom of the toy box. Other than that, the puppet is terrific and of incredibly good quality considering its affordable price.

Cute, well-made, did the trick!
Took this to Thailand to assist me in doing physicals on over 50 non-English speaking children at several orphanages and a hill tribe... was a great ice-breaker! Well made, fun to use. It really did the trick! I left it in Thailand for them to continue to play with...

Is there a doctor in the house?
My grand daughter love it! She jumps up and down whenever she gets something she likes, even with pretty clothes. Her and her brother kept playing together. I was amazed how well they were able to maneuver the stick! The size was age appropriate for ages 6 and 7. I assume a 5 year old could do the same. I laugh as they put a stage together from a toy stand and covered it over with a blanket. I have to see how long they continue to play with the puppets in the future. In general, I am happy with this purchase and will consider purchasing more of Melissa & Doug puppets for Christmas gifts.

The hair is very long and there is no hair in the middle.
I love this puppet so much it fits me very good the hair is made out of yarn and her hair is very long and I love the wooden stick and you can take her town by cutting the string but she does not have hair in the middle only around her head.

Best doctor puppet I've met!
Love this wonderful little surgeon, one of my puppet favorites! Bought three - one for a neurosurgeon leading a difficult brain surgery, others for a healthy grade school child and toddler. The neurosurgeon enjoys his puppet consultant, a reminder to retain humor and lightheartedness even in dire circumstances. The toddler's parents tell me she loves to interact with "Doctor Puppet' and that they do, too! There's a meet and greet daily with this dark-haired, big-lashed friend with the expressive face and the fun green scrubs. A smart and empathic doctor puppet adds a different dimension to the repertoire of individual characters in the care and supervision of the grade school puppeteer. She talks about becoming a veterinarian. She uses the doc as both a "human" doctor puppet and as a vet puppet for other puppets, dolls and stuffed animals. Love Melissa and Doug puppets as they are simple, friendly, easy care, and inexpensive. Memorable gift. Was able to get this puppet with nice gift packaging in a two day order.
