This stuff is brilliant. An artist friend recommended it--I had a number of expensive brushes that the kids had let paint dry on...they were totally saturated and stiff, and had been like that for months. This brush cleaner fixed them right up--the worst one took 2 treatments, but most only needed one! I will keep this on hand from now on. I am so glad I didn't throw out those brushes!

Small little Wonder!!! (Will Buy Again)
Never used this before and love it. I had a oil painting brush that was really paint stuck and I thought well I'll give this a try. From the minute I opened it I was surprised on how it had a nice clean smell to it. The consistency reminded me of car wax. I put some water on the brush and rubbed it about 3 times in the brush soap and worked out the paint. It worked like a charm. Got the whole brush un-stuck!! that was a nice nice surprise. I was then so happy with it and the way it felt on my skin it was nice. Really a nice product. You can't go wrong for the price or even the soap. It does a nice job without being harsh. I put some photos so you can see it. Its a small container but easy to store and doesn't take up a lot of space. Nice to use. I'll certainly buy this again.

*MakeUp Update* **beauty blenders** Miracle Soap!
*See MakeUp Update at bottom!* Bought this brush soap & conditioner at the recommendation of a painting friend/mentor. He had an enormous tub of it; I wasn't sure I was ready for that kind of investment and got this little size instead. I paint in spurts, so it sat around for months before I started using it this week. Holy Crap!! This stuff is Amazing! I suppose they teach you all this in art school, but as a hobbyist I've been just figuring things out as I go, and people seem to assume you just inherently know how to take care of that $40 brush they had you buy... you know? So I had been cleaning my brushes like they taught me in ... elementary? Rinse, soap, rinse, when the water runs clear, it's clean, lay flat to dry. Sometimes subbing shampoo for hand soap. Well this soap has step by step instructions on the tub and packaging, and it's Super easy to use. I'm finding that it works better on natural brushes than synthetic brushes, though it will clean both. And not just fresh cleaning- it will clean old dried paint that's been there for months. My Amaze moment was with this one natural hair 2in flat brush (like a super fancy soft chip brush) that I had used with black gesso about a year ago. Even after the usual washing that naturally white brush was stained dark grey. I grabbed this brush when I went to start washing this week, and immediately the paint in it started breaking down- when I was done it was nearly white again. Incredible. So that's my experience. If you're like me and only paint occasionally, this small size may be just fine. If you have lots of brushes to restore or you paint daily, you might crank through this fairly quickly. It is perfect for a travel size regardless of your workload though. (The soap is solid inside the tub, so removing a small amount from a larger size for travel would be questionably valuable for the effort.) If you paint at all I would recommend this soap. If you use any natural brushes, I would extremely recommend this soap. I'll definitely be keeping this around. It would probably do well on MakeUp brushes too. *MakeUp Update!!* Exciting News: I tried it with my MakeUp Brushes, and it was Amazing!!! Seriously. I'm going to have to buy another one for the art studio, bc this one isn't leaving the bathroom. I pulled out all the MakeUp Brushes I could find, old ones I haven't used in years, cheapy ones, expensive ones, and the ones I use on the daily. This unbelievable soap tackled them All. I watched as old foundation, powder, and eye shadow just poured down the drain like it was nothing. Remember I said how well this soap works on natural hair brushes? Well this took a surprising amount of dye out of a few of my older ones. I was shocked by how quickly the ones I normally use got clean. (I typically alternate between shampooing them monthlyish and using alcohol as I use them) When I wash them it's generally an ordeal, but this brush cleaner made very quick work of it, rinsing out easily. It really was shocking. From fluffy powder brushes, to flat foundation brushes, to a variety of eye brushes... they all did extremely well with the soap, lathering well, and rinsing just as easily. **beauty blenders** So of course I had to try my **beauty blenders** (Sephora branded) I had one that had been out of commission bc of silicon foundation. No matter what soap I tried with it, foundation just Kept Coming Out like the tube was stuck inside it or something. It was nuts. And then I had my current use one (mutisided) with a CC type product on it as well as a variety of cream products (highlight, blush, etc). All I can say is WoW. Masters Brush Cleaner puts Every youTube comparison video about blender cleaning products to Shame. No Joke. It's like a 1 swipe Wonder. And just like with the brushes, it rinsed out so Easily. The product is finally all out of my old sponge! And my new one was like nothing even though it had so many different products on it. It was all just Astounding how simple and easy it was. If you own a blender, or have used silicon based foundation, you understand what can be the nightmare of attempting to clean that sponge. I'll never be able to use my blenders without this soap again. And as it strips out dyes so well, any new brushes or sponges I invest in will definitely be dye free. This certainly makes the prospect of playing with cream MakeUp options this summer more enticing. With the blenders so ridiculously easy to clean, it's time to play! New Recommendation: if you wear or do MakeUp as well as paint, buy 2! Also, this would make an Excellent gift for any of your friends who wear or do MakeUp. Rating: 10/5 for exceeding expectations, flexibility of use, adaptability, and all around amazingness.

Even cleans makeup brushes!
Brought this after a friend recommended for makeup brushes. I thought what?!? How can it be used for artists brushes and makeup that doesn't sound right! Oh was I wrong! This product Cleans my makeup brushes throughly! I have felt them that clean since I first ordered them. I Love it!! Other makeup brush cleaners were very harsh and smelled bad. This is not harsh at all to the brushes and even smells like lemon. It's great!

This stuff is a miracle worker!
This already has over 300 5-star reviews, but I’ll add to it. I’m a beginning painter and I tried oil paint for the first time recently - on some brand new, really nice brushes. I finished up late at night, so I left everything to be destroyed by the paint...for 3 weeks. I’d kinda given up hope on recovering my hardened brushes, but this has gotten such high reviews I decided to try it. Holy cats, this stuff worked well & fast! I scraped some onto the paint-hardened brushes, massaged it in a tiny bit then placed them in a cup of hot water. I let them sit for a bit, then agitated the brushes in the soapy mixture on the bottom of the cup. Already a ton of paint had come out & the bristles has softened. Next, I manually washed each brush individually, rubbing some soap in & rinsing until water ran clear from them. It didn’t make them look completely new, but it got them 90-95% of the way there, which was much better results than I expected, having thought I’d destroyed them. I bet if I used a rubber/silicone brush cleaning mat that would have gotten them even cleaner. This stuff is incredible. As long as I paint, I will be sure to have this brush cleaner on hand!

This works wonderfully.
I have never used a product like this and I am very glad I bought it. I recently realised I have not been taking good enough care of my brushes so I purchased this to try it out. It works wonders. It cleans up dried paint as well as stubborn bristles. I had some brushes that look brand new because of it. It is also great at returning them to their natural shape. Very good product.

Great for Makeup Brushes
Holy smokes! I've never in my life had such an easy time cleaning my foundation brush. This stuff is a miracle for the price. It has a very natural citrusy smell, but can border on smelling like cleaner. I'm giving my brushes an extra scrub with baby shampoo just because I'm sure the manufacturers weren't intending that it should be safe for being rubbed all over someone'a face, but it works miracles. I'm going to see if it cleans beauty blenders equally as well.

I'm sold in a minute!
I just got and opened the package and ran and got my big #18 acrylic that has been petrified solid for years, I never had the heart to throw it out... Some kind of red paint in there hard as stone. So I followed the directions and with very hot water and some massage I got some cracks to open up and let some of this soap-ish product get into the brush. After soap+massage then rinse 3rd time, some color started coming out, and by the 6th is was pretty soft, and by the 10th repeat it was like new! Incredible! Baby soft again! I am now lining up a lot of my favorite #1's and #0's to get some points re-formed by letting some soap dry into shape.

Exceeds my expectations
I cant tell you how many brushes I have thrown out over the years that this product possibly could have saved. Which in turn would have saved me a lot of money on new ones. I have only used this with acrylic paint, so I can't say anything about other mediums, but the photos of the before and after for my brushes speak for themselves. They were in much worse condition before I remembered to photograph them as well. I cleaned every brush I owned afterwards as well, because they felt totally different. So I cleaned some I didnt feel needed to be and let me just say the difference in those brushes was immediate as well. This product is like conditioner for the fibers, making them soft and smooth to the touch. Once I run out of this product I will buy it again, because I now see it as a necessity when it's time to clean them.

This has pretty much been a must in my art supplies since ...
This has pretty much been a must in my art supplies since I was a teen. Great for all paint types. I keep 2 or three around. I it on my watercolor brushes to keep them conditioned and it's excellent for cleaning the last bit of pigment and binder left from my oils (note: always clean as much oil paint out of your brushes first with a solvent of your choice before using this). It's also great at restoring brushes that have had oil paint partially dry into, just lather it up wrap it in plastic and let it sit for a while. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
