I've been looking at this mixer for a few years before I was finally ready to buy it. The reason I was interested in it was the fact that it was a ~$100 mixer with 5 mic inputs and level faders in lieu of knobs. (I like Faders.) I was actually pleasantly surprised by how solid and substantial it was when I unpacked it from the box. I mean, it's a basic mixer, not many bells and whistles... but for the price, layout, i/o... I like it FAR more than the 402, the 802, or even the 1002 (minus the B). The battery option is a nice add on that sadly, I'll likely never use or get excited about, but I can appreciate it for those who would.

I purchased this mixer solely for in-ear monitoring for live performance. I run XLR splitter boxes for each channel or returns from the stage snake into the mixer and it sounds great. I also run my click track into the last channel. Most small mixers don't have faders on each channel, instead opting for rotary knobs, so that's one reason why I bought this model. It also has a power switch! I used to have other Behringer mixers that didn't have power switches so that was a nice addition.

Starting to use it more and more. I wanted a mixer with portability, flexibility, and NOT COMPLICATED. This is it. Lots of options and easy to use. I'm not a gigger, and am not looking to be one. I'm a serious music hobbyist and do not want to become the engineer at the console at the back of the room.

Bought this battery powered mixer to pair with a Bose S1 Pro battery powered PA speaker. Used it for live music performance at a friend's wedding. The whole setup minus speaker and mic stands fit in a milk crate sized tub. Ran 2 acoustic electric guitars + 2 microphones through it with channels to spare. Sounded great - many compliments - sound filled a small church nicely with headroom left in the system and all on batteries! I would highly recommend this setup to anyone playing small venues or taking music to the streets. Very nice!

I got this for my new Podcast and dear Lord is it great. It is so basic and hassle free it makes everything a dream. I personally don't use the built in phantom power but just know it is included. It doesn't seem to be very clear on that fact. In powering 6 mics so it's not ideal but if your only powering 1-2 mics it's more than enough.

This has worked perfectly for me. I had purchased another cheaper mixer with less capabilities that failed in less than 6 months. This one seems to be well built and it works great! I've used it plugged in and on battery power without any problem. I showed to the sound guy at my church and let him try it. He then went out and purchased a similar one (without battery power capability) to use at the church. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, and I have!

I needed a battery powered audio mixer for on outside location shooting, and the BEHRINGER XENYX 1002B aidio mixer fitted well with all my mic's, and also could be routed to my Sony A6500 4K Video Rig thru my Tascam 70D Audio Recorder, my 2nd BEHRINGER XENYX Audio Mixer, I use the BEHRINGER XENYX 1204 USB on my work station, I am always satisfied with BEHRINGER audio products, and would highly recommend them...

Whether you are screaming in terror or you are making others suffer audibly, this little mixer can help you record it. Seriously, having never used a mixer before I had a little trouble getting the volume and gain for my different mics, then I had to fit that into the window of what my camera likes. After that, I realize this thing rocks. Oh and I figured out the constant hum is a fish bubbler in my neighboring apartment. I bought a similarly priced mixer before this one which has no panning and far fewwer inputs. Get this one!!!

I have been using Behringer products for over 10 years. I started a mens quartet in the late 90s using a yamaha mixer/amp combo with 15" Yamaha speakers. A really nice sounding system and used it several times. But the speakers are heavy and all the equipment is a pain to drag around and takes up a lot of space. Now, let's fast forward to modern times. i sing in churches normally that seat about 100 people, and the churches are rather small and space is at a premium. So that means a normal PA system is out of the question. After all, who wants to spend that much money and then break your back trying to set it up. I use the "Bose music-to-go package - SoundDock for iPod and iPhone" which has a 3.5mm (mini) stereo connector, the device will run for a couple of hours on batteries, and it will fill a church seating 200 or so people with full complete sound, an iPad for the music (battery powered), a "Blue Microphones enCORE 200 Studio-Grade Phantom Powered Active Dynamic Microphone" and this little mixer to get the whole thing set up. The sound quality is very nice. I have gone from a car full of gear and cables to a rolling milk crate. I have gone from a 30 minute set-up and tear down to 5 minutes total time. now let's deal with some issues that i have read in other reviews: The bright blue light. This light seems to be a problem on the Behringer mixers that i have used (this and the 2442fx) I wish that little light would be dimmed down and/or made into a different color. 9 Volt battery life. The 9 volt batteries will not last long in this little mixer. About 1.5 is all you can expect from them. 9 volt batteries to not hold very many milli amps like the AA battery does. Your basic 9 volt carbon-zinc battery is about 400 milliamp-hours as compared to the AA battery that does 1.5 volts can have as much a 2400 milliamps. Depending on the battery type, make and such. The the voltage in the 9 volt battery has to be stepped up to a usable voltage for this little mixer and that shortens the battery life too. I use 9 volt rechargeable batteries and always take a few spares. I normally will sing for 30 to 45 minutes. So the battery life is not much of a concern for me. So basically, I use this mixer in small venues (normally less than 100 seating but can do at least twice as much)with the bose and a Ipad. It works wonderfully. no need to search for that power cord, outlet or surge protector. The Mixer has room to expand if needed (but not much room). So for what I need it to do, it does it very well and with my set-up mentioned above, it does it very well.6 (Minus the bright blue light).

Just started using this. It works great. We current have three wireless mics through the XLR plugs, a computer audio input in the RCA inputs, and audio from a miracast in one of the 1/4" jacks, and audio out from the RCA jacks going to an external recorder, and the main out to an amp for the speakers. It all works great.
