not great at self healing but neither am I

Better than expected

This is a very sturdy heavy duty mat that I put on the wife’s craft table. It was way less expensive than the ones from the local craft stores. It looks great, has very easy to read measurements for layouts and will no doubt save the surface of the table. I am thinking of getting another for my work bench.

I was surprised at how thick and solid this mat is. It lays perfectly flat. Can use the graph number side or pure black.

This replaces a very old cutting mat and is way better

I like the black better than the white. I like that it is thicker than my last one and the markings are very clear and varied. It is slightly softer so my cutting blade cuts more cleanly through my fabric.

amazing thick cutting mat!

This mat is super thick, heavy (means it stays in place) , has inch & cm markings, and is an amazing size. I use a finished 36" wide door as my cutting table, and this fits perfectly inside that space. The mat was shipped flat, as others have wondered, and it arrived (almost) intact. The mat is only wrapped in one layer of plastic inside the box, and the single layer of tape keeping the box together began to come undone, I assume because the very heavy mat slides around a lot during shipping. But the mat itself is incredible, WELL worth the money.

Starting off with 5 stars for not cutting corners. TRUE TO SIZE

I am using this as a cover for a precision surface plate. I've been searching for something that ACTUALLY measured 36x48 so that it would cover the WHOLE PLATE. It's amazing how many products out there say they are 36x48 but are actually 35x47 or less. This mat came in TRUE TO SIZE which earns high marks in my book. It arrived folded in half in a huge box, but a few minutes out in the sun made it lay out perfectly flat. I will update this review if I find other problems with it.

Self healing

Good cutting mat. Used frequently by group of quilters. Self healing works every time. I only wish the measurements in inches were on all 4 edges. Also,no grid on reverse side.

Perfect for the price!

I love the 36x48 mat!!!! It makes cutting material so much easier and I don’t have to worry about my table getting messed up! And you can’t beat the price for this size of mat.

Indispensable for the Home Sewer

I've been wanting a larger cutting mat for ages and found this on Amazon at a great price. Much cheaper than at the big craft stores like Joann or Michael's, even with a coupon. Makes the cutting process both faster and more accurate.
